Please note:Task 1 is the only mandatory task. If you don't make your mark here your name won't be added to the lists that are being kept by the Mistress of the Scoreboard.

Scoring: For this task there is 1 set point for all challengers and a possible bonus point for using flowery language. such as “I Aladdin, do pledge myself to undertake the quest set before me. For the Alliance, and glory!”
____

Task 2: Discuss your favourite moment
There is a discussion page, far beyond the great wall, upon which Orbit Quest challengers shall inscribe their favourite genre moment. This can be a passage from any book, from any publisher — so long as it is of the genres.

Scoring: This challenge shall be scored by our judging panel, with a maximum of 5 points to be awarded. Judges to score 1–5 points.
____

Task 3: Post a fan picture of your bookshelf
To complete this task you must post a picture of your bookshelf, vertical book stacks or however you define your collection into the fan photos section [link]. Let us see the depth and breadth of your genre reading. Show us the mountain of magic you’ve delved into.

If you’re a fan you should have the option to “add photo” from the root level of the fan photos section. Here’s a quicklink that should take you there.

Scoring: Our judges shall award 1–5 points for each entrant.
____

Task 4: Favourite Old Tongue word
Suggest your favourite word or term from one of the many fictional languages that exist in genre work, that you think should enter the vernacular, and use it in a phrase. (alternate phrasing: used in everyday modern conversation. By everyone.). Post your sentence on the main wall and then rustle up likes and comments from your allies and associates.

NB: This is a PG site, so keep it clean folks. Unclean entries will be cleansed.

Scoring: By popular response. For each “like” your post gets you receive 1 point. For each comment you receive 2 points. Points will be tallied at the end of the Quest.

____

Task 5: Design a cover
Alright, this is one of the harder ones. Here we want to test your mettle and your artistic visions. We want you to take create your own cover. Make up a book title, an author, a funny strapline then make a cover any which way you like and post it up in the fan photos section.

Post your completed entries here.

You'll need Acrobat Reader for this one. (Apologies, we tried to keep it in Facebook land but the quiz apps got spammy.) Rest assured the only data we shall keep will be the score; privacy shall be respected.

Click here to discover your worth.

Scoring: 1 point per correct answer.
