TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
The promoters are News Limited (ABN 47 007 871 178) of 2 Holt Street, Surry Hills NSW 2010 and Network Ten Pty Ltd (ABN 91052 515 250) of Level 4, 620 Chapel Street, South Yarra VIC 3141.
Entry is open to all residents within NSW, VIC, QLD & SA, only. This competition excludes residents of WA, NT & TAS from entering. Employees and their immediate families of the promoters, directors, managements, related companies, retailers, suppliers and their agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible.
To enter, readers of The Daily Telegraph (NSW), the Herald Sun (VIC) and The Courier Mail (QLD) must SMS their name and full address to the SMS phone number as listed in the above state newspapers on Wednesday August 18, 2010. Readers in SA must SMS their name and full address to the SMS phone number as listed in The Advertiser on Thursday August 19, 2010.
The SMS entry mechanic is only open to readers with an SMS compatible mobile phone, connected to a service provider which permits text messaging to the promotional SMS number. It is recommended that entrants check with their individual service provider in this regard.
Entrants (including winners) in the competition may enter as many times as they like, however only one prize per person will be awarded. SMS entries via internet or computer generation are invalid and will not be accepted.
Each SMS entry will be charged at a premium rate, namely $0.55 (including GST), which covers the entry and reply message.
The time of entry will, in each case, be the time that the SMS is received by Salmat Interactive. The Promoter, its agents, affiliates or representatives will not be liable for any late, lost or misdirected entries.
The draw will take place at Salmat Interactive, Level 17, Innovation Place, 100 Arthur Street, North Sydney NSW 2060 on Thursday 19 August 2010 at 10:00 (AEST) for the NSW, VIC & QLD competition only. The SA draw will be conducted (as above) on Friday 20 August, 2010 at 10am AEST.
The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and to disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process or who submits an entry, which is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. The Promoter does not accept any responsibility for late, lost or misdirected entries for this promotion. Entries are deemed to be received at the time of receipt by the Service Provider and not at the time of transmission by the entrant.
Multiple entries will be accepted provided that each entry is submitted separately in accordance with the entry instructions.The competition opens at 00:01 (AEST) on Wednesday 18 August 2010 and closes at 23:59 (AEST) on Wednesday 18 August 2010 in NSW, QLD &VIC ONLY. The competition opens at 00:01 (AEST) on Thursday 19 August 2010 and closes at 23:59 (AEST) on Thursday 19 August 2010 in SA ONLY. Only entries submitted within the promotional period in accordance with these terms will be accepted.
There will be 1 major prize winner in each state, across NSW, QLD, VIC & SA.
Each major prize includes;
13.1 Backstage tour of the Neighbours set, meeting the cast of Neighbours and watching the filming of Neighbours. The value of each prize is ‘money can’t buy.’
13.2 The major prize winners who reside in NSW, QLD & SA will each also receive 2 Return Economy Airfares (1 x winner and 1 x guest) to Melbourne.
13.3 The major prize winners who reside in NSW, QLD & SA will each also receive 1 night’s twin share accommodation in a 4 star hotel in Melbourne’s CBD, valued at $250.00 per winner.
13.4 The major prize winners who reside in NSW, QLD & SA will each also receive transfers to and from hotel and Neighbours set, valued at $50.00 per winner.
13.5 The total national prize pool is valued at $3,500.0013.6 Note: If the VIC prize winner resides in Metro VIC they will not be eligible for the airfares, accommodation and set return transfers component of the prize, and no replacement prizing or cash will be offered. This component is simply forfeited. If the VIC winner resides more than 3 hours drive from Melbourne, negotiations will be made between the winner and the prize provider to cover accommodation and travel. Prizing offered in this instance will be at the complete discretion of the prize provider.
13.7 The prize must be redeemed by each winner as a full prize package and can not be claimed as separate components. Any prize components not taken as specified by the prize provider will be forfeited and not replaced.
13.8 The prize can be claimed by winners from September 2010 up until June 2011, subject to booking availabilities. If a prize claim can not be made prior to this time the prize is forfeited.
Entrants under 18 years are not eligible to enter.
Should an entrant’s contact details change during the promotional period, it is the entrant’s responsibility to notify the Promoter. A request to access or modify any information provided in an entry should be directed to Promoter.
Prize winners will be notified in writing within seven (7) days of the draw and published in the public notices section their local state masthead on Monday 23 August, 2010 with the exception of Queensland where the winner will be published at
www.couriermail.com.au/competitions17. NO LIABILITY
a) The Promoters shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with any prize/s except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law. Neither is the Promoters responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, either caused by the entrant or any of the equipment or programming associated with, or utilised in this competition, or for any technical error, or combination thereof that may occur in the course of the administration of this competition, including any omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line or telephone, mobile or satellite failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to, or alteration of, entries.
b) If for any reason, this competition is not capable of running as planned, including due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the reasonable control of the Promoters which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this promotion, the Promoters reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, take any action that may be available and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition subject to any written directions given under State Legislation.
c) Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, the Promoters (including its officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence) for any personal injury, loss or damage (including loss or opportunity) whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the promotion, including but not limited to, where arising out of the following:
I. any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoters control);
II. any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference;
III. any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after receipt by the Promoters) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoters;
IV. any variation in prize value to that stated in these conditions of entry;
V. any tax liability incurred by a winner or entrant;
VI. the broadcast of any program relating to the competition or the publication of any material, including statements made by any compere, staff member, journalist, other entrants or any other person; and/or
VII. participation in the prize
d) Once prizes have left the Promoters premises, the Promoters and their associated agencies take no responsibility for prizes damaged, delayed or lost in transit.
e) The Promoters reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who the Promoters has reason to believe has breached any of these conditions, or engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the promotion. The Promoters legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved.
f) In the case of the intervention of any outside agent or event which naturally changes the result or prevents or hinders it's determination, including but not limited to vandalism, power failures, tempests, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, strikes; the Promoters may in its absolute discretion cancel the event and recommence it from the start on the same conditions subject to state legislation.

We or any of our Australian related companies may be in touch by any means (including email or SMS) at any time to let you know about goods, services or promotions which may be of interest to you. We may also share your information with other persons or entities who assist us in providing our services, running competitions (including administering the competition or distributing prizes) or with other companies who provide prizes for competitions or reader offers. We may also disclose your personal information in accordance with these terms and conditions if you are a prize winner or finalist.
