Seminar help sunlock mysteries of the brain

BRAINIAC: Dr Norman Doidge is an acclaimed speaker
NORMAN Doidge made the discovery of neuroplasticity (the ability of the brain to change itself) understandable for millions of people through his internationally best-selling book The Brain that Changes Itself.

Dr Doidge exposed new discoveries in science that found people could change the structure and function of their brains by thinking.

This discovery, considered to be the most important breakthrough in our understanding of the human brain in 400 years, is already providing hope for people with learning difficulties, brain injuries, intellectual disabilities, dementia and the elderly.

Dr Doidge will discuss the most recent medical advances resulting from this discovery, including how understanding the brain can unlock the mysteries of love, sexual attraction, taste, culture and education, as well as enable ordinary people to raise their IQ, overcome learning difficulties, become savant calculators, develop muscle strength or learn to play a musical instrument, just by thinking.

An acclaimed international speaker who has addressed the United Nations and Harvard University, Dr Doidge’s seminar is titled Lessons from the Frontiers of Brain Science and will be followed by an afternoon session on the neuroscience based computer program Fast ForWord, titled Changing the Brain for Learning.

Tickets from Ralph Gurr on (08) 6201 1060 or email ralph@eventswa.com.au.

City News has six tickets to give away to the Dr Norman Doidge seminar at the Brisbane Convention Centre on September 6 , including lunch. Each ticket is valued at $169.

Entries close at 9am on August 27 and winners will be drawn at 10am and notified by mail. Results published on September 2.
