Entries must be received by 5.00pm on the 27th of August, 2010.

The competition auditions will be held September 4th at Panthers Newcastle at 11am, all performers must be able to perform at the Finals on Saturday, 2nd October & Grand Final Saturday 9th October. The talent quest will be divided into 3 categories: dance, vocal/acoustic, and other.
Due to the 5 kilometer rule of the Registered Clubs Act anyone residing within a 5 kilometer radius of a registered club is required to be a member (or a guest of a member) in order to enter the club.

JUDGING DETAILS
Decisions by the judging panel are final. Performers will be judged on the following criteria:
* Performance
* Crowd Response
* Originality
With 1 overall winner taking first prize
PEOPLES CHOICE AWARDS - ONSITE VOTING
All category winners will be judged by the onsite voting system where the people of Newcastle vote onsite to judge category winners
PRIZE DETAILS
There will be prizes awarded to the top three Categories through onsite voting which will be awarded by the Judging Panel. Overall Winner of Competition will be awarded Major Prize Package. Decisions by the judging panel are final.
RULES AND REGULATIONS
Contestants must fall into the Newcastle & Surrounding Councils perimeters.
Performers successful in the audition rounds, must be able to perform on Saturday 2nd & 9th October 2010
Each performance will be allocated 5 minutes playing time with10 minutes to setup and pack down.
Abuse of supplied sound equipment or council property will disqualify the competing offender(s), who will also be held financially responsible for any damages caused.
Mattara Festival accepts no responsibility for any damage, loss, liabilities, injury or disappointment incurred or suffered by you as a result of entering the Competition or accepting the Prizes. We further disclaim liability for any injury or damage to you or any other person's computer or mobile phone resulting from participation in or downloading or uploading any materials in connection with the Competition.
You shall fully and effectively indemnify and hold harmless us on demand from and against all claims, demands, losses, costs, charges and expenses (including, without limitation, legal expenses) arising from a claim by a third party that the provision by you of, or our authorised use of, the Entry Material submitted by You infringes any rights (including, but not limited to, privacy, performance rights, copyright and/or other intellectual property rights) of any third party.
Decisions by the judges are final, no discussion will be entered.
Failure to comply with these rules and regulations may lead to disqualification.
