The following stipulates basic contest rules for any / all contests both on and off air, featured on 4KQ. Each contest may have its own special restrictions / qualifications, in which case, an addendum to these rules will be featured. 1. Only one (1) winner per family / household per contest.
1.2 Only one (1) entry per person/household per competition1.3 WHO MAY ENTER: The only persons who may enter and be awarded prizes are:
(i) those who have not already won a major or minor prize in the same competition.
(ii) Those who are not employees of, or contractors to, the Promoter or any of its agencies involved with this competition; or
(iii) who are not the spouse, de facto spouse, parent, natural or adopted child, and sibling (whether natural or adopted by a parent), of such employees and contractors (whether or not they live in the same household).
(iv) those contestants who have not won a prize/prizes valued (either individually or collectively) at $200 or more from the Promoter or in any contest run by the Promoter in the prior 30 days.
(v) those contestants who have not won a prize/prizes valued (either individually or collectively) at $500 or more from the Promoter or in any contest run by the Promoter in the prior 60 days.
(vi) those contestants that have not won a prize valued at $1,000 or more from the Promoter or in any contest run by the Promoter in the prior 90 days.
vii) Those contestants who have not won a prize valued at $5,000 or more from the Promoter or in any contest run by the Promoter in the prior 12 months.
Contestants who are discovered to have used or attempted to use any more than one name in order to qualify to win any contest run by the Promoter except in the case of a legal change of name are not permitted to win.
All contestants acknowledge that the Promoter can rely on Clause 2 even if the Promoter only learns of a person’s ineligibility after the promoter has appeared to award the prize to the ineligible person. Return of the prize or payment of its
value to the Promoter can be required by the Promoter if this occurs. All winners must acknowledge ineligibility to enter a further competition on or off air, if any of the above occurs.
2. All major prizes will be given away by Classic Hits 4KQ. 3. All prizes when specified must be picked up within sixty (60) days of winning. It is the sole responsibility of the winner to claim their prize. 4. Should the prize be posted or courier delivered, the station will assume the prize has been received and will take no further responsibility once the prize leaves Classic Hits 4KQ. 5. When claiming a prize, winners under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent / guardian. Both must sign the release and show adequate ID. 6. Classic Hits 4KQ is at liberty to dispose of an unclaimed prize at the end of the sixty (60) day grace period. 7. All unclaimed prizes will be forfeited. 8. In the event of two (2) telephone lines being tied together (crossed), the entire call will be disqualified. 9. In case of a dispute over telephone lines, the decision of Classic Hits 4KQ is final. 10. Employees and families of Classic Hits 4KQ / it’s advertising agency / sponsors and affiliates are ineligible to enter and / or win any contest on Classic Hits 4KQ. 11. Due to unavailability or unforseen circumstances, Classic Hits 4KQ may substitute another prize of similar or equal value. 12. Designated representatives collecting prizes - in very unique circumstances with prior permission of Classic Hits 4KQ is allowed. Written authorisation will be required and ID for both winner and their representative. Classic Hits 4KQ will qualify what it terms a “unique situation”. 13. Classic Hits 4KQ is not responsible for defective prizes or misuse of a claimed prize. 14. All entries become the property of Classic Hits 4KQ. Further, Classic Hits 4KQ may withhold any material relevant to the completion of the contest. 15. All contestants acknowledge as a condition of entry that Classic Hits 4KQ has the right to publicise or broadcast his / her name, character, likeness, voice on all matters incidental therein. 16. All contest winners must avail themselves for a photo if required by Classic Hits 4KQ and acknowledge that Classic Hits 4KQ has the right to utilise publicity photos in any reasonable manner it sees fit. 17. In the event a winner chooses not to accept a prize, they forfeit any and all claims to the prize, which can then be awarded to a runner-up at the discretion of Classic Hits 4KQ. 18. Winners are responsible for any/all taxes incurred on prizes received. 19. All prizes are not transferable. 20. Classic Hits 4KQ, its agencies, affiliates, sponsors or representatives absolve themselves from any liability, financial or resultant arising out of or in connection with any contest staged by Classic Hits 4KQ.
21. In certain circumstances, a list of winners will be made available on request to unsuccessful entrants at Classic Hits 4KQ during business hours. 22. Basic contest rules and addendum are available for review at Classic Hits 4KQ during business hours, and to entrants by mail, upon receipt of a stamped, self-addressed envelope. 23. Additions or deletions to these rules may be enacted at the discretion of Classic Hits 4KQ at anytime.
