Terms and Conditions

By entering the “Channel Nine and The Sunday Mail State of Families Survey” competition, you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions:

STANDARD TERMS
•    Information about how to enter forms part of the terms of entry.

WHO CAN ENTER?
•    Entry is open to all residents of Queensland.  All entrants must be able to provide proof of residency (e.g Drivers Licence) upon request.  All entrants under the age of 18 must obtain the prior permission of a parent or guardian over the age of 18 to enter.  If the winner is under the age of 18 the prize may be awarded to a parent or guardian at the absolute discretion of the promoters.


•    Employees of Queensland Newspapers Pty Ltd, Nine Network Australia and their immediate families, associated agencies and companies are not eligible to enter.

HOW TO ENTER
•    The competition commences on Sunday 10 October 2010 at 00.01am and concludes last mail on Friday 22 October, 2010. (The competition period).
•    In order to enter, entrants must obtain The Sunday Mail on Sunday 10 October 2010.

HOW TO WIN
•    Entrants must locate the State of Families Survey.
•    Complete the State of Families Survey and the entry form at the top of the page and post to State of Families Survey, Reply Paid 83077, Milton Q 4064 by last post Friday October 22, 2010.
•    Three (3) winners will be randomly drawn at 10am Tuesday 26 October, 2010 from all entries received and the first three (3) valid entries drawn will receive a prize as outlined below.
•    The prize winner will be contacted by phone by Friday 29 October, 2010.
•    It is a condition of accepting the prize that the winner must comply with all the conditions of use of the prize and prize supplier’s requirements.   It is a condition of accepting the prize that the winner may be required to sign a legal release form determined by the Promoters in their absolute discretion.

PRIZES
•    Three (3) x prizes:
Family annual passes (two adults and two children 3-13 years) to Dreamworld and WhiteWater World

TOTAL PRIZE VALUE: $2,328

•    In accepting their prize, winners agree to participate and co-operate as required in all editorial activities relating to the competition, including but not limited to being interviewed and photographed. The winners agree to grant the Promoters a perpetual and non-exclusive licence to use such footage and photographs in all media worldwide and the winner’s will not be entitled to any fee for such use.
•    The winners agree they will not sell or otherwise provide their story and/or photographs to any media or other organisation.

NO LIABILTY
•    In the case of the intervention of any outside act, agent or event which prevents or significantly hinders the Promoter’s ability to proceed with the competition on the dates and in the manner described in these terms and conditions, including but not limited to vandalism, power failures, tempests, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, strike, war, act of terrorism, the Promoter may in its absolute discretion cancel the competition and recommence it from the start on the same conditions, subject to state government legislation.
•    Queensland Newspapers Pty Ltd, Nine Network Australia Ltd and their associated affiliates, agencies and companies will take no responsibility for prizes damaged or lost in transit, or late, lost or misdirected mail.
•    To the extent permitted by law, Queensland Newspapers Pty Ltd, Nine Network Australia Ltd and their associated affiliate agencies, companies, employees and agents will not be liable for any claims, losses (including but not limited to consequential loss), damages, costs, expenses, misadventure, accident or injury that may occur:
−    during the draw;
−    whilst undertaking any travel connected with their entry into the draw;
−    in the participation of any element purchased with the prize;
−    as a consequence of late, lost or misdirected mail;
−    due to the broadcast of any program relating to the competition or the publication of any material, including any statements made by any compare, staff member, journalist, other entrants or any other person;
−    due to circumstance outside the Promoter’s reasonable control;
−    otherwise as a result of, or arising out of, or in any way connected with this competition and/or its prizes.

•    Queensland Newspapers Pty Ltd, Nine Network Australia Ltd assume no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of entries, and reserves the right to take any action that may be available.
•    If for any reason this competition is not capable of running as planned, due to causes including but not limited to tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoters which corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this competition, the Promoters reserve the right in their discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, take any action that may be available, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition.
