Taronga Zoo has recently released a brand new iPhone App which can see in action on this video!
“Monkey Mayhem” is thought to be the first app designed from scratch for a specific zoo and the only one to contain a gaming element which you complete during a zoo visit. The app has been designed for children aged 5 -12 years old, but also suitable for younger children with the help of a parent
Additional features of the app include an interactive map using the iPhone's inbuilt GPS, the ability to unlock additional animal information by taking photos and being able to personalise the Zoo manual with unique picture frames for each photo.
Within the Zoo Manual are six categories of animals children will need to find and photograph. The categories are:
In To Africa, Garden Buddies, Primates, Aussie Mates, In the Jungle and Under Water.
