Hofmann IAME “Australia’s Most Professional Workshop” 2011 Promotion



Terms and Conditions
1. Entry into the Hofmann IAME “Australia’s Most Professional Workshop” 2011 Promotion (Promotion) is deemed an acceptance of these terms and conditions of entry.
2. The Promotion commences at 00:00:01am (AEST) on 1 November 2010 and closes at 11:59:59pm (AEST) on 30 August 2011.
3. To enter the entrant must:
a) be a resident of Australia or New Zealand
b) not be an employee of the Promoter, or agencies or companies associated with the Promoter, or a member of the immediate family of such an employee
c) be a current IAME member
d) own or manage an automotive based workshop located in Australia or New Zealand
e) demonstrate a commitment to customer service
f) present a clean and tidy work environment
g) Operate facilities that present a very professional appearance
h) Provide examples of having gone over and above the call of duty or given something back either to the industry or the community.
i) Demonstrate a commitment to safety for customers and staff
j) complete the Hofmann IAME “Australia’s Most Professional Workshop” 2011 Promotion application form by downloading it from www.iame.com.au or www.snapontools/equipment and include the business details, full name, postal address and phone number.
k) redeem the major prize by December 15th 2011 and consent to the collection, use and disclosure of his/her personal information in accordance with paragraphs 14 and 15 of these terms and conditions of entry.
4. Entries must be received by the Promoter during the Promotion Period. Entries are deemed to be received at the time of receipt by the Promoter. Records of the Promoter are final and conclusive as to time of receipt.
5. The selected finalists must be available for a telephone interview with a judge or panel on 15th September 2011.
6. Finalists may be asked to submit examples of work and references, photographs.
7. Any entrant may not enter the Promotion more than once. One valid entry per person will be accepted by the Promoter. All entries may be used for research purposes only.
8. The Promotion consists of one major prize. A minor prize will also be awarded to each of the 4 entrants published in the 5 editions of the IAME Journal “The Automotive Engineer” while promotion is running.
a) The major prize consists of: 1 x Hofmann Geodyna 4900 wheel balancer (part number HOF6028301) with an Australian list price of $9,889.00 inclusive of GST.
b) The minor prize consists of:

20 x Hofmann limited edition carbon fibre pens. These pens are not available for purchase but have a declared commercial value of $115.00 for the purpose of the promotion.
9. Each valid entry received during the Promotion Period will be individually judged by a panel of judges appointed by the Promoter. All valid entries will be judged having regard to the overall quality of the answers provided on the Hofmann IAME “Australia’s Most Professional Workshop” 2011 Promotion Application Form and attached photos or customer commendations, including literary, composition, creative merit and originality. . The Promoter’s decision in relation to all aspects of this promotion is final and binding on all who enter. No correspondence will be entered into. The Promoter reserves the right in its complete discretion to substitute the prize with another product of its choice to the same value, if it deems necessary.
10. Winners will be notified by phone, using contact details provided in their entry.
11. This is a game of skill; chance plays no part in determining the winner. The best entry as determined by the judges will be deemed the winner. The winner’s name will be available at www.iame.com.au or www.snapontools/equipment and will be published in the December edition of “The Automotive Engineer”.
12. If the winner of the Major Prize is under 18 years of age, the prize will be awarded to the winner’s parent or guardian.
13. Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, the Promoter (including its officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the Promotion, including, but not limited to, where arising out of the following: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control); (b) any theft, unauthorized access or third party interference; (c) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any variation in prize value to that stated in these Conditions of Entry; (e) any tax liability incurred by a winner or entrant; and/or (f) the prize.
14. Prize values are the recommended retail value as provided by the supplier and are correct at time of printing. All prize values are in Australian dollars. The Promoter is neither responsible nor liable for any change in the value of a prize occurring between publishing date and date the prize is claimed. Prize must be taken as stipulated by the Promoter
15. By entering the competition and providing an email address, the entrant consents to receipt of any email regarding the competition, and other emails which inform the entrant of the Promoter’s other publications, products, services and events and to promote third party goods and services it may be interested in
16. All entries become the property of the Promoter (Promoter’s). The collection, use and disclosure of personal information provided in connection with this
