Hi all

I'm seeking a little guidance from the experienced prize winners out there.

I understand that, where big comps and prizes are involved, I have to wait for the wheels to turn and  larger prizes to be dispatched and am prepared for that (if it ever happens).

However, since joining ACC, I have won 3 small prizes (a phone case, movie tickets and a CD) and was notified of 2 of the wins on the same day (4th July) but neither prize has appeared in my mailbox.

The third prize (CD) was only notified the other day, so plenty of time for that one.  Both promoters of my winning comps have contacted me asking for address details etc., so what should I expect to be an acceptable turn around time before I contact them again - any tips, please? Confused

The usual wait time is between 4-6 weeks after tht time I get worried. Others say within 28days but usually iff youre win id off one of the smaller sites (urbancinifile or ok) its usually within three weeks.    good luck...

I usually check the terms and conditions, most generally state 4-6 weeks. Depends how patient I am, might give it another week or two, then I start chasing  Very Happy

I generally allow up to four weeks for a prize to be delivered, after that I try to contact the promoter to find out the reasons for the delay.

It can be frustrating though. I'm still chasing a DVD pack that I won from Brand Leaders FOUR MONTHS ago. I keep getting email responses promising that my prize is "on it's way" but I'm still waiting!

Delays like that are thankfully rare but it still cheeses me off when you have to chase up prizes that you have won fair and square. Confused

I allow at least 6 weeks before following up.  Movie tickets usually come out straight away, you might want to chase that one up, especially if the movie is already being screened.

Also keep in mind that sometimes prizes come from a third party and will therefore add time to delivery

remember patience is a virtue   thumbup

Its always good to know prizes are on their way and you have to be patient, and its even better
receiving the ones you didnt know you had won, Ive only had one non receipt experience in two years but I dont
let it worry me

It also depends on the source - KZone often take a long time and cartoon network recently took 7 months for a pre-Christmas DS Deathly Hallows game.  They were lovely though when I spoke to them (regularly) and they'd been delayed by their supplier - in the end I think they bought the prize themselves as it had a target sticker on it and, of course, the value had dramatically decreased by the time it eventually arrived.
