Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these Terms and Conditions. Participation in this promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
2. Entry is only open to residents of NSW, VIC, SA, WA, QLD and ACT. Employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoter and agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter. Immediate family means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or step-child (whether natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or 1st cousin.
3. Entrants under 18 years old must have parental/guardian approval to enter and further, the parent/guardian of the entrant must read and consent to all terms and conditions. Parents/guardians may be required by the Promoter to enter into a further agreement as evidence of consent to this Promotion.
4. Promotion commences on 21/07/2011 and closes 11:59pm AEST on 03/08/2011 (“Promotional Period”).
5. To enter, individuals must, during the Promotional Period visit
www.hoyts.com.au, input the requested details and submit the fully completed entry form including answering a question in 25 words or less "What’s the wackiest thing your school teacher ever did?”.
6. This competition is a game of skill. The best two (2) valid entries judged by Hoyts Corporation as the best/most creative entries, will win a prize. Judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
7. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant’s identity, age and place of residence) and to disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions or who tampers with the entry process. Errors and omissions may be accepted at the Promoter's discretion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
8. Incomplete or indecipherable entries will be deemed invalid.
9. Multiple entries permitted, subject to the following: (a) entry must be submitted with a different email address; and (b) each entry must be submitted separately and in accordance with entry requirements.
10. Winners will be notified immediately in writing, via email.
11. The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
12. The first two (2) valid entries drawn will win a VAIO laptop (RRP $1399 each).
13. Total prize pool is $2,798.
14. The prize, or any unused portion of the prize, is not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash.
15. Prize values are based upon the recommended retail prices at the time of printing (inclusive of GST). The promoter accepts no responsibility for change in prize value between now and the ultimate prize redemption date.

16. The Promoter, prize provider and activity operators, in their absolute discretion, at all times reserve the right to: (a) prevent any winner and/or their companion from participating in the Activity if, at any time, they reasonably believe that they pose a safety risk or for any other reason; and/or (b) cancel the Activity if the conditions are deemed dangerous. (c) vary and/or substitute the prize (or part thereof) without notice with a prize to the equal value and/or specification, subject to any written directions from a State and/or Territory regulatory authority.
17. In the event that any prize item is unavailable, the Promoter reserves the right, subject to the approval of any relevant trade lottery authority, to substitute a prize item of equal or greater value.
18. Entrants consent to the Promoter using the entrant's name, likeness, image and/or voice in the event they are a winner (including photograph, film and/or recording of the same) in any media for an unlimited period without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this competition (including any outcome), and promoting any products manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by the Promoter.
19. If this promotion is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law (a) to disqualify any entrant; or (b) subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority, to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the promotion, as appropriate.
20. Any cost associated with accessing the promotional website is the entrant’s responsibility and is dependent on the Internet service provider used.
21. Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, the Promoter (including its officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the Promotion, including, but not limited to, where arising out of the following: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control); (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any variation in prize value to that stated in these Terms and Conditions; (e) any tax liability incurred by a winner or entrant; or (f) use of a prize.
22. In the event that for any reason whatsoever a winner does not take an element of the prize at the time stipulated by the Promoter then that element of the prize will be forfeited by the winner and cash will not be awarded in lieu of that element of the prize.
23. Personal information on this form is being collected by Hoyts Cinemas Limited for the purpose of this competition and will not be used for any other purpose nor disclosed to any other person. By completing this form, you consent to Hoyts Cinemas Limited using your personal information for this purpose. If you choose not to provide the information requested, you will be ineligible for the prize.
