Agree wirh Calpot I made a mistake and have removed my earlier post to avoid confusion.

On my post above a smiley is shown in my calculations but I never typed that and when I just went in to modify something else the smiley doesn't appear.

It should show as: instead of (2* it should show 2 multiplied by 8 in brackets

Is it December Fool's Day, is there a gremlin coming down the chimney or is there a function key that changes a simple multiplication into a smiley?

You may have noticed a does always appear in T&Cs when the numbers have brackets following.
