1. The Promoters are West Australian Newspapers Limited Group of 50 Hasler Road Osborne Park, WA 6017 [ABN 98 008 667 632], Qatar Airways, Ground Floor, 350 Collins Street, Melbourne, VIC 3000 [ABN 18 105 742 916] and 96FM Level 1, 169 Hay Street, East Perth WA, 6004 [ABN 66 007 082 680]
Competition Period
2. The competition commences on Saturday, November 17, 2012 and concludes in-paper on Friday, December 7, 2012.
3. The final prize draw will take place on Tuesday, December 11, 2012.
Who can enter
4. Instructions on how to enter, prize details and other information contained within the promotional advertisements form part of these terms and conditions. By participating, in this promotion entrants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
5. Subject to clause 6, entry is open to all residents of Western Australia over the age of 18. Photographic identification may be required upon collection of the prize.
6. Employees of the Promoters, their subsidiaries, their advertising agencies, participating newsagents and resellers of The West Australian and The Weekend West newspapers, and their immediate families are ineligible to enter. Immediate family includes spouse, defacto spouse, parent, natural or adopted child or sibling living under the same roof.
Method of entry
Major prize – Win one of three return flights and a Qatar Airways merchandise pack
7. Entrants must collect the Qatar Airways flight number from The Weekend West on Saturday, November 17, 24 or December 1, 2013.
8. Entrants must then listen to the 96FM breakfast show from 6am on Monday, November 19, 26 or December 3 respectively. The breakfast team will call for listeners that have collected the Qatar Airways flight number for that week. Entrants must call 9484 1196 when they hear the competition “boarding call”.
9. The “boarding call” sound will happen a minimum of twice during the 96FM Breakfast Show between 6-9am and nominated callers will be put on a “stand by list” to win the prize which will be randomly drawn at the end of the show.
10. The nominated callers who can reveal the correct Qatar Airways flight number (off-air) from The Weekend West respective of the week will be in the draw for the flight.
11. The major draw will take place with the 96FM Breakfast Show and the winner will be announced on-air and will also win a Qatar Airways merchandise pack valued at $100.
12. If an Entrant calls the 96FM competition line but does not have the correct Qatar Airways flight number, they will be deemed ineligible and will not go into the major draw.

www.96fm.com.au14. A total of three (3) winners will be announced on 96FM over the competition period on the dates outlined in Clause 8.
15. Entrants are only eligible to win once.
16. The major prizes consist of:
• 3 x return Qatar Airways Economy Class flights (2 two people) from Perth to a destination of the winner’s choice on the Qatar Airways network.
• Accommodation in Doha if there is no connecting flight to the winners choice of destination within 8 hours.
• 3 x Qatar Airways merchandise packs.
• Total Prize Package value is $33,000
• Three (3) winners in total
Bonus prize - $500 everyday or return business class flights
17. The bonus prizes consist of:
• 15 x $500 cash prizes, increasing to $1,000 if winner is a valid Home Delivery customer
• 15 x Qatar Airways merchandise packs
• One (1) x return Qatar Airways Business Class flights (for two people) from Perth to a destination of the winner’s choice on the Qatar Airways network.

18. To enter, Entrants must look for the Qatar Airways daily destination codeword printed in The West Australian on Monday – Friday, from Monday, 19 November – Friday, 7 December 2012.
19. For a valid entry to win $500 every day plus a merchandise pack or the Qatar Airways business class flights, Entrants must visit
www.thewest.com.au/qatar and all mandatory details must be completed including name, address, contact phone number, optional email address and Qatar Airways daily destination codeword.
20. Entries must be submitted by 11.59pm each day.
21. For the $500 every day plus a merchandise pack, one (1) winner will be selected at random every day at 10am (excluding weekends) from Tuesday, November 20 – Monday, December 10.
22. Winners will be notified by mail after the prize draw. In the instance that the winner cannot be contacted at the address provided within ten (10) working days, the prize will be forfeited and a new winner will be drawn.
23. The daily prize consists of 1 x $500 in cash and 1 x Qatar Airways merchandise pack.
24. If the daily winner is a Home Delivery customer they will receive an additional $500 making the daily prize for a Home Delivery customer $1,000 cash. A minimum of $7,500 will be given away over the competition period of three (3) weeks if no winners are Home Delivery customers. A maximum of $15,000 will be given away if all the daily winners are all Home Delivery customers.
25. To be eligible for the additional $500 as a Home Delivery customer, all subscribers must have the Home Delivery of The West Australian and/or The Weekend West started and confirmed prior to the prize draw and provide proof of Home Delivery to the satisfaction of the promoter. To claim, the winning Entrant must provide proof of identity.
26. For the Qatar Airways business class flights, one (1) winner will be drawn from all valid entries on Tuesday, December 11, 2012.
27. Winner will be notified by mail after the prize draw. In the instance that the winner cannot be contacted at the address provided within ten (10) working days, the prize will be forfeited and a new winner will be drawn.
28. Entrants are only eligible to become a winner once.
General
29. All flights MUST be booked and tickets issued by Sunday, December 30, 2012.
30. Any destination available on
www.qatarairways.com.au can be booked and this destination must be selected at time of booking. Only ONE destination can be selected.
31. All travel must be completed by Sunday, March 31, 2013.
32. If the winner is unable to travel within the specified dates, the winner's prize will be forfeited; dates and vouchers cannot be extended. The winner and their guests must travel together on the same flight. All costs associated with changes to flight and accommodation details once booked are the responsibility of the winner.
33. Airline tickets are valid on Qatar Airways only on a point to point basis and are non-extendable, non-transferable, non-re-routable, non-endorsable and non-cashable. The prize (or any part thereof) cannot be sold, is not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken for cash. No responsibility is accepted for any variation in the value of the prize. Airline tickets are valid for travel on Qatar Airways services only, over the specified routing and in the stated class of travel. Travel restrictions may apply. All bookings must be coordinated and booked through Qatar Airways
34. To check schedules or book flights the winner can call the Qatar Airways Reservations Office on 1300 340 600. To redeem tickets winners must present the winners letter issued and collect tickets from Qatar Airways, Level 14, Governor Stirling Tower, 197 St Georges Terrace, Perth WA 6000. This is to ensure the recipient of the flight(s) is the confirmed winner of the competition. Tickets should be issued at this time, winners should not leave without receiving flight tickets.
35. Prize is valid for travel booked and must be used before March 31, 2013. No extensions are permitted.
36. Travel during peak times of the year, e.g. Christmas time, or on flights forecast to have very high demand should be avoided. Qatar Airways will endeavour to do all possible to allow travel on the dates/times most preferred by the prize winner, however reserves the right to not allow travel on flights that are in extremely high demand on commercial grounds. Embargo restrictions will apply & subject to availability.
37. All applicable taxes & fuel surcharges, duties or fees imposed or levied by any local, provincial or central government or other taxing authority resulting through the use of the Business class tickets should be paid by the winner and the nominated companion.
38. Adequate travel insurance for the duration of the trip must be organised by the winner at his/her own expense. Meals or tips, transfer fees (other than specified), excess baggage, government taxes, airport charges, visas, travel insurance and any other personal expenses not specified in the prize package must be paid for by the winner. A valid passport is required for all International journeys.
39. No FFP Miles will be awarded for these tickets.
40. Passengers will not have access to the Qatar Airways Premium Terminal.
41. The ticket holder is entitled to the normal baggage allowance as per the existing rules.
42. The prize cannot be taken in conjunction with any other Qatar Airways or Prize Sponsor offer.
43. The winner must make their own way to Perth International airport in order to meet their Qatar Airways flight. The prize does not include any cost the winner may incur to travel to the airport.
44. The Prize is subject to the terms and conditions of participating service providers.
45. The Promoters reserve the right to substitute any prize with that of a similar value at any time without prior notice.
46. It will be the winner’s responsibility to redeem the prize from the Promoters. No cartage expenses are included in the prize.
47. On completion of the prize draw, competition entries will be kept by The West Australian for twelve months. This is a mandatory requirement of the Gaming and Wagering Act WA. All coupon entries will be destroyed after this time period. No personal details will be recorded.
48. All contestants release from, and indemnify the Promoters against, all liability, cost, loss or expense arising out of acceptance of any prize(s) or participation in the competition including (but not limited to) loss of income, personal injury and damage to property and whether direct or consequential, foreseeable, due to some negligent act or omission or otherwise.
49. The Promoters and associated agencies accept no responsibility for any loss, damage, accident, death or injury resulting from the promotion.
50. Entry into this competition signifies acceptance of all conditions. The Promoters’ decision will be final and cannot be contested. No correspondence will be entered into. The Promoters reserve the right to limit entry or amend rules if considered necessary without notice.
Privacy
51. It is a condition of entry that all prize winners agree to have their name and suburb published for publicity purposes if required. By participating in this competition, participants signify their acceptance of all conditions and the requirement to participate in promotional activity if required.
52. In participating in the competition, entrants agree to participate and co-operate as required in all editorial activities relating to the competition, including but not limited to being interviewed and photographed. The winner agrees to grant the Promoters a perpetual and exclusive licence to use such footage and photographs, as well as their actual entries (whether on DVD or photograph) in all media worldwide and the winner will not be entitled to any fee for such use. The winner agrees they will not, and will ensure that their companions do not, sell or otherwise provide their story and/or photographs to any media or other organisation.
53. 53.1 The entrant consents to the use by West Australian Newspapers Limited Group and its related corporations (as defined by the Corporations Act 2001) of the entrants’ details and acknowledges that West Australian Newspapers Limited Group and its related corporations, may, at its discretion disclose and use those details for the purpose of providing you with goods or services, communicating with you, planning, research, product and business development and sales, the benefit, promotion and marketing (whether target, direct or indirect) of their businesses, services or products or those of a third party which we believe may be of benefit to Participants or them. The details will also be used to investigate complaints, as required or permitted by any law, to enable West Australian Newspapers Limited Group to perform its obligations to you under this or any other agreement and to ensure that you perform your obligations under this or any other agreement.

54. Completed entries which have ticked the box titled “I would like to receive updates and special offers from Qatar Airways” will have their information collected for the purpose of promotion and marketing and agree to be contacted and receive marketing and promotional materials from Qatar Airways.
• By ticking the box entrants agree to give Qatar Airways permission to keep their personal details on record for the use of a database and for marketing and promotion indefinitely.
