Christmas 2012 Art CompetitionFree to enter for all Australian artists
Australian artists are invited to compete in the 2012 Christmas art competition. All good quality artworks posted between 1 November 2012 to the 16 December 2012 are *eligible to compete in the competition. The eligible artwork that receives the most number of views will win the Christmas award of a $100 TicketMaster Gift Card that will be posted to the owning artist on 17th December 2012.
This is Art is becoming a popular network for professionals, novices, teachers and students of the arts. In October 2012 there were 350 visitors a day, over 100 artists, 200+ artworks, and the site was arguably the most comprehensive art education reference of our country.
The purpose of this competition is to encourage artists to promote themselves online and to recognise talented people in our community.
RULES
How to enter the Contest
1. Join This is Art to create your artist profile (email confirmation is needed and membership is free).
2. Login to your account.
3. Upload images of your painting, sculpture, textile art, photography, or craft.
4. Images will immediately show up on the home page for others to view.
5. The curator of This is Art will assess the quality of the artwork to detemine whether it is *eligible to enter the competition. Eligible artwork will receive the following comment from the curator, "Eligible artwork for the Christmas 2012 competition"
6. Ask all of your friends to view your artwork. This is a popularity contest which will be won by eye catching works and cooperation of your social network.
How to win
1. Only artworks that are submitted in between 1 November 2012 to midnight, 16 December 2012 are considered.
2. The number of views automatically increments whenever visitors click onto the photographs.
3. The number of views are displayed under the appropriate photographs.
4. On midnight AEST the highest count of views will determine the winner.
Terms and Conditions
Free to enter for all purchased This is Art memberships.
Multiple artwork images may be submitted by each artist member.
Owners must be Australian citizens or live in Australia. Submissions may be in the form of paintings, photographs, high quality drawings, sculptures, craft or textile art.
Artwork copyright must be owned by submitting artist. Documented evidence of ownership may be requested prior to prizes being issued.
The prize will be issued on the most number of views as at the end of the competition. If the view count is drawn then it will be the judgement of "This is Art" management and sponsors.
This is Art staff and family members are prohibited from entering / winning the competition.
No pornography, spams, skams, abusive or otherwise content permitted. "This Is Art" staff reserve the right to remove offensive content and ban members if required.
Fraundulent voting or other activities will result in non-refundable disqualification and closure of the artist account.
*Eligibility The artwork must demonstrated a good standard of work. Rough, quick, and simplistic pieces are not suitable for entry. The curator of This is Art will judge the eligibility and will not debate with artists about the verdict. Offensive artwork or behavour may result in a removal and banishment from This is Art. Eligible artwork will receive a comment by the Curator that states, "Eligible artwork for the Christmas 2012 competition"
