Terms and Conditions
1. Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these Terms and Conditions. Participation in this promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
2. Entry is only open to residents of Australia aged 18 years or over. Individuals must have a Facebook account in order to access the promotional page/s.
3. Employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoter, Crowne Plaza Coogee Beach, Crowne Plaza Terrigal, Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley, Crowne Plaza Newcastle, and agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter. Immediate family means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or step-child (whether natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or 1st cousin.
4. Promotion commences at 12:00pm (i.e. noon) on 18/11/2013 and concludes at 12:00pm (i.e. noon) on 28/02/2014 (“Promotional Period”). All times indicated in these Terms and Conditions are in Australian Eastern Daylight Standard Time (“AEDST”).
5. To enter, individuals must complete the following steps during the Promotional Period:
a) visit one (1) of the following Crowne Plaza Facebook Pages: Crowne Plaza Coogee Beach (https://www.facebook.com/CrownePlazaCoogeeBeachSydney); Crowne Plaza Terrigal (https://www.facebook.com/CrownePlazaTerrigal); Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley (https://www.facebook.com/CrownePlazaHunterValley); Crowne Plaza Newcastle (https://www.facebook.com/CrownePlazaNewcastle); or Crowne Plaza Canberra (https://www.facebook.com/CPCanberra) (each a “Facebook Page”);
b) become a fan of the Facebook Page by clicking the ‘like’ button (if not an existing fan of the Facebook Page);
c) follow the prompts to the ‘Win 52 Weekends Away” promotional application;
d) input the requested details (including their full name, telephone number and a valid email address);
e) confirm their agreement (via the relevant check box) to the Terms and Conditions; and
f) submit the fully completed entry form.6. All entries become the property of the Promoter and will not be returned. Ineligible, incomprehensible or incomplete entries received will be considered null and void.
7. Multiple entries permitted, subject to the following: (a) only one (1) entry in each Minor Draw (defined below) per person and per email address is permitted; (b) each entry must be submitted separately and in accordance with entry requirements; (c) a maximum of one (1) entry into the Grand Prize Draw per person is permitted (regardless of how many various Minor Draws a person enters); and (d) a maximum of one (1) minor prize is permitted per person (excluding. SA residents). For the sake of clarity, individuals are eligible to submit one (1) entry into every Minor Draw, for a maximum of fifteen (15) Minor Draw entries, however, they will only receive one (1) entry into the Grand Prize Draw.
8. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant’s identity, age and place of residence) and to disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process or who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights. Errors and omissions will be accepted at the Promoter’s discretion.
9. If there is a dispute as to the identity of an entrant, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to determine the identity of the entrant.
10. There will be three (3) minor draws conducted for the entries received through each Facebook Page (each a “Minor Draw”), for a total of fifteen (15) Minor Draws. Minor Draws will not be conducted for the entire Promotional Period, but rather only for the entries received during the dates stated in the table below. Subject to clause 7, all entries received from all Facebook Pages during the Promotional Period will be entered into the Grand Prize Draw. Entries open at 12:00pm (i.e. noon) on 18/11/2013 and close for each Minor Draw at 12:00pm (i.e. noon) on the dates outlined in the table below. Entries for each Minor Draw for each Facebook Page will roll over into any subsequent Minor Draws for that Facebook Page. For the avoidance of doubt, entries received on one Facebook Page will not be entered into any Minor Draws conducted for any other Facebook Page. All draws will be conducted at 12:00pm on the dates outlined in the table below. The Minor Draws will be conducted at InterContinental Hotels Group, 203 Victoria Street, Potts Point, NSW 2011. The Grand Prize Draw will be conducted at Anisimoff Legal, Level 5, 492 St Kilda Road, Melbourne, VIC 3004. The winners of each Minor Draw will be notified in writing by email within two (2) business days of the relevant Minor Draw and their names will be published on the relevant Facebook Page at 11:00am from the dates outlined in the table below. The winner of the Grand Prize Draw will be notified in writing by email within two (2) business days of the Grand Prize Draw and their name will be published on each of the Crowne Plaza NSW websites (

12. The first valid entry drawn in each of Minor Draw 2, Minor Draw 6, Minor Draw 7, Minor Draw 11 and Minor Draw 15 will each win a Samsonite Spin Trunk 55cm suitcase valued at $399. The exact colour of the suitcase awarded will be determined by the Promoter in its absolute discretion.
13. The first valid entry drawn in Minor Draw 3 will win a $50 Bazura Breakfast voucher and a Living Room Coogee double yoga pass valued at $40, together valued at $90. The voucher and double yoga pass are valid for 12 months from the date of issue and are redeemed at Bazura and Living Room Coogee only, respectively.
14. The first valid entry drawn in Minor Draw 4 will win a Seasalt Restaurant dining voucher valued at $200. Voucher is valid for 12 months from the date of issue and is redeemable only at the Seasalt Restaurant located at Crowne Plaza Terrigal.
15. The first valid entry drawn in Minor Draw 5 will win 10,000 IHG® Reward Club Points, valued at $125. Winners must be registered as an IHG® Rewards Club member to redeem the awarded points. If a winner is not an IHG® Rewards Club member, they can apply for a membership free of charge by visiting

16. The first valid entry drawn in Minor Draw 8 will win a ‘Hunter Valley Wine Tour Bus’ double pass, valued at $136. Pass is valid for 12 months from the date of issue.
17. The first valid entry drawn in Minor Draw 9 will win a Sandalyn Wilderness Estate Pasta/Sushi Making Class for two (2) people, valued at $270. Prize will be issued as a voucher. All ingredients will be provided by Sandalyn Wilderness Estate for the class.
18. The first valid entry drawn in Minor Draw 10 will win a 2.5 hour Blue Tour with Newcastle Kayak Tours for two (2) people, valued at $90.
19. The first valid entry drawn in Minor Draw 12 will win a Seasalt Restaurant dining voucher valued at $200. Voucher is valid for 12 months from date of issue and is redeemable only at Seasalt Restaurant located at Crowne Plaza Newcastle.
20. The first valid entry drawn in Minor Draw 13 will win a National Museum of Australia prize pack valued at $135.90. 21. The first valid entry drawn in Minor Draw 14 will win a Redsalt Restaurant dining voucher valued at $200. Voucher is valid for 12 months from the date of issue and is redeemable only at the Redsalt Restaurant located at Crowne Plaza Canberra.
22. Any ancillary costs associated with redeeming the dining vouchers (Seasalt, Bluesalt and Redsalt), Bazura Breakfast Voucher, Living Room Coogee Pass, Hunter Valley Wine Tour Bus Voucher, Sandalyn Wilderness Estate Pasta/Sushi Class Voucher, or Newcastle Kayak Tour Voucher (“Vouchers”) are not included. Any unused balance of the Vouchers will not be awarded as cash. Redemption of the Vouchers is subject to any terms and conditions of the issuer including those specified on the Vouchers.
23. The first valid entry drawn in the Grand Prize Draw will win a Crowne Plaza ‘52 Weekends Away’ Prize Pack, valued at $45,272. The pack includes fifty-two (52) Crowne Plaza vouchers, of which ten (10) are redeemable at Crowne Plaza Coogee Beach – Sydney, ten (10) are redeemable at Crown Plaza Terrigal, ten (10) are redeemable at Crown Plaza Hunter Valley, eleven (11) are redeemable at Crowne Plaza Newcastle, and eleven (11) are redeemable at Crowne Plaza Canberra. Each voucher is redeemable for two (2) nights accommodation in a standard room (and free upgrade to next room category, subject to availability) at a relevant Crown Plaza hotel for two (2) adults, daily hotel buffet breakfast for two (2) adults and two (2) nights parking for one (1) vehicle.
24. Redemption of the Crowne Plaza vouchers is subject to availability. Crowne Plaza vouchers cannot be taken on New Year’s Eve (i.e. 31/12/2013) and further blackout dates may apply. The vouchers are valid from 20/03/2014 to 20/03/2015. Once the vouchers have expired, any unused voucher/s will become the property of the Promoter and cannot be used by the winner. The voucher cannot be exchanged or tendered (e.g. for cash). A maximum of two (2) vouchers can be claimed for one (1) stay per booking per hotel. The winner cannot stay seven (7) or more consecutive nights in the same hotel using vouchers, regardless of whether multiple bookings were made to redeem the vouchers. For the sake of clarity, the winner can stay a maximum of six (6) consecutive nights in one hotel using vouchers (subject to availability), however to do so the winner must make two (2) separate bookings and redeem two (2) vouchers in the first booking and one (1) voucher in the second booking. Vouchers are not transferable between hotels. Should the winner wish to book more than two (2) rooms during their stay, or if the winner has exceeded their allocation of nights per property, the winner is to cover the cost of the additional rooms/nights. Each room is for two (2) adults only. Additional charges will apply for any third person. A maximum of three (3) people can occupy a room. Any ancillary charges including but not limited to mini bar expenses, Internet and room service are not included. Transportation to and from a Crowne Plaza hotel in NSW or ACT, or any associated transfer costs, are not included and will not be borne by the Promoter. To redeem the vouchers, the winner must contact hotel reservations as indicated on the voucher. The vouchers should be treated like cash, as lost or stolen or damaged vouchers cannot be replaced or refunded.
25. All prizes must be redeemed in the stated locations and with the stated providers in NSW and ACT. Transport or transfers (including but not limited to flights) are not included with any prize and are the responsibility of each winner.
26. If any prize (or part of any prize) is unavailable, the Promoter in its discretion, reserves the right to substitute the prize (or part of the prize) with a prize to the equal value and/or specification, subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority.
27. Subject to the unclaimed prize draw clause, if for any reason a winner does not take a prize (or an element of a prize) by the time stipulated by the Promoter, then the prize (or that element of the prize) will be forfeited.
28. Total prize pool value is $48,913.90.
29. Prizes, or any unused portion of a prize, are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash.
30. Entry and continued participation in the promotion is dependent on entrants following and acting in accordance with the Facebook Statement of Rights and Responsibilities, which can be viewed at

31. This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Facebook. Entrants understand that they are providing their information to the Promoter and not to Facebook. The information an entrant provides will only be used for the purposes outlined in these Terms and Conditions. Any questions, comments or complaints about this promotion must be directed to the Promoter and not to Facebook. Facebook will not be liable for any loss or damage or personal injury which is suffered or sustained by an entrant, as a result of participating in the promotion (including taking/use of a prize), except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.

A draw for unclaimed prizes may take place at 11:00am AEST on 30/06/14 at Anisimoff Legal, Level 5, 492 St Kilda Road, Melbourne, VIC 3004, subject to any written directions from any regulatory authority. 33. The Promoter’s decision in relation to all aspects of this promotion is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
34. If this promotion is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, including but not limited to technical difficulties, unauthorised intervention or fraud, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law to (a) disqualify any entrant; and/or (b) to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the promotion, as appropriate subject to the approval of all relevant State and Territory Lottery Departments.
35. Any cost associated with accessing any of the Facebook Pages is the entrant’s responsibility and is dependent on the Internet service provider used.
36. The use of any automated entry software or any other mechanical or electronic means that allows an entrant to automatically enter repeatedly is prohibited and will render all entries submitted by that entrant invalid.
37. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits, excludes or modifies or purports to limit, exclude or modify the statutory consumer guarantees as provided under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010, as well as any other implied warranties under the ASIC Act or similar consumer protection laws in the States and Territories of Australia (“Non-Excludable Guarantees”). Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees, the Promoter, Crowne Plaza Coogee Beach, Crowne Plaza Terrigal, Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley, and Crowne Plaza Newcastle (including their respective officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the promotion.

Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees, the Promoter, Crowne Plaza Coogee Beach, Crowne Plaza Terrigal, Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley, and Crowne Plaza Newcastle (including their respective officers, employees and agents) are not responsible for and excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control); (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any variation in prize value to that stated in these Terms and Conditions; (e) any tax liability incurred by a winner or entrant; or (f) taking and/or use of a prize.
39. Entrants consent to the Promoter using the entrant’s name, likeness, image and/or voice in the event they are a winner (including photograph, film and/or recording of the same) in any media for an unlimited period of time without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this competition (including any outcome), and promoting any products manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by the Promoter.
40. As a condition of accepting a prize, each winner must sign any legal documentation as and in the form required by the Promoter and/or prize suppliers in their absolute discretion, including but not limited to a legal release and indemnity form.
41. The Promoter collects personal information in order to conduct the promotion and may, for this purpose, disclose such information to third parties, including but not limited to agents, contractors, service providers, prize suppliers and, as required, to Australian regulatory authorities. Entry is conditional on providing this information. The Promoter and the prize supplied Samsonite Australia Pty Ltd (ABN 31 006 363 248) may, for an indefinite period, unless otherwise advised, use the information for promotional, marketing, publicity, research and profiling purposes, including sending electronic messages or telephoning the entrant.
