Terms and Conditions
Entry is only open to Australian residents. Employees (and their immediate family) of the Promoter, sponsors, volunteers, participating retailers and agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter.
Each person taking part in the Alliance Française French Film Festival competition may only participate once.
The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant's identity, age and place of residence) and to disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions or who tampers with the entry process. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
To be eligible to enter, participants must fully complete the official entry form available on the Alliance Française French Film Festival 2014 website:
www.affrenchfilmfestival.org and answer the question: “What anniversary is Alliance Française French Film Festival celebrating this year?
Prizes are not exchangeable or transferable for cash.
Promotion commences on 31/01/2014 and ends on 28/04/2014 ("Promotional Period"). All entries must be received by 11:59pm AEDST on 28/04/2014. The draw will take place prior to a final judging which will take place at Alliance Française de Sydney, 257 Clarence Street, Sydney NSW 2000 on Tuesday 29/04/2014 at 3:00 pm AEST. Winners only will be notified by e-mail or telephone.
Consent of parent or guardian must be obtained where a minor may be a participant in the competition. If the winner of a prize is under the age of 18 years, the prize will be awarded to the winner's nominated parents or guardian.
Prizes will be finalised and determined at the Promoter's sole discretion and are subject to the “sponsors” terms and conditions, as included in Prize Details below.
Entrants consent to the Promoter using the entrant's name, likeness, image and/or voice in the event they are a winner (including photograph, film and/or recording of the same) in any media for an unlimited period without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this competition (including any outcome), and promoting any products manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by the Promoter.
The Promoter collects personal information in order to conduct the Promotion and may, for this purpose, disclose such information to third parties, including, but not limited to, prize suppliers. Entry is conditional on providing this information. The Promoter may, for an indefinite period unless otherwise advised, use the information for promotional, marketing and publicity purposes including sending electronic messages or telephoning the entrant. Entrants should direct any request to access, update or correct information to the Promoter.
The sponsors are Sime Darby Motors Wholesale Australia Pty Ltd trading as Citroen Automobiles Australia, Societe Air France trading as Air France KLM, Entire Travel Connection Pty Ltd trading as French Travel Connection, Rail Europe 4A trading as Rail Europe, (together the "Sponsors").
In the event that for any reason whatsoever a winner does not take an element of the prize at the time stipulated by the Promoter then that element of the prize will be forfeited by the winner and cash will not be awarded in lieu of that prize or element of the prize.
Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, the Promoter (including its officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the Promotion, including, but not limited to, where arising out of the following: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter's control); (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any variation in prize value to that stated in these Terms and Conditions; (e) any tax liability incurred by a winner or entrant; or (f) use of a prize.
If for any reason this promotion is not capable of running as planned due to any reason, including unauthorised intervention, fraud, or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter, which corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this promotion, the Promoter reserves the right (subject to any applicable law) in its sole discretion to (a) to disqualify any entrant; or (b) to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the promotion, as appropriate.
In the case of the intervention of any outside agent or event which naturally changes the result or prevents or hinders its determination, including but not limited to vandalism, power failures, tempests, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, strikes; the Promoter may in its absolute discretion cancel the promotion and recommence it from the start on the same conditions subject to state legislation.

PRIZE DETAILS
FIRST PRIZE DETAILS: The best entry as determined by the judges will win the First Prize.
The First Prize consists of Two (2) Air France Return economy tickets Sydney-Europe (valued at $5,000), Five nights at the charming 4 star Mayfair Hotel, a Chateaux & Hotel Collection member, arrival private transfers Charles de Gaulle airport; five day metro pass (zones 1 - 3) courtesy of French Travel Connection (valued at $2,400) and 2 France Rail Passes 1st class, 4 days travel in 1 month (valued at $708).

1. AIR FRANCE PRIZE - SPECIFIC TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Prizes and values are as follows:
- The competition will designate 1 winner who will be attributed the following prize: Two return economy flights to France valued at $5,000 AUD.
- Prize is not transferable and is not redeemable for cash or any kind.
Air France prize specific Terms and Conditions:
- Travel is subject to availability in T class. It is appreciated that you give us at least 7 working days prior notice from the intended travel date, but we suggest booking your travel date as early as possible to ensure availability.
- Please note that Air France has a blackout period over Christmas & Easter. Please note also that flights during holidays are usually heavily booked. We advise you to book early.
- Ticket must be issued before 31 December 2014 but travel is permitted until 29 April 2015.
- Travel between Australia and Singapore is to be on the services of one of Air France partner in economy class.
- Travel between Singapore and Paris is to be on the services of Air France in economy class.
- Validity of the ticket(s) is 6 months from the date of departure and all tickets are to be used together, on the same travel date.
- Date change permitted within the 6 months’ validity at a fee of AUD180.
- Air France prize winner’s tickets are not transferable, not cash-redeemable, non-upgradeable and their validity cannot be extended. (The winner of the ticket(s) must be among the travelers)
- Frequent flyer points will not be awarded on this airfare.
2. FRENCH TRAVEL CONNECTION PRIZE - SPECIFIC TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Subject to availability in Double Standard room, breakfast included for 2 people. Travel dates restrictions apply (high season, fair trade, New Year and Special events) and blackout dates may apply. We recommend contacting French Travel Connection as early as possible to ensure availability. Accommodation must be booked before 31 December 2014 but travel is permitted from 15 July 2014 to 31 August 2014 and from 01 November 2014 to 31 March 2015.
This prize is non-transferable, non-upgradeable, has nil cash value and is not permitted to be sold or traded. The validity cannot be extended and the winner of the prize needs to be among the travellers. French Travel Connection's comprehensive terms and conditions apply to this prize. Refer to

3. RAIL EUROPE PRIZE - SPECIFIC TERMS AND CONDITIONS
- It is appreciated that you give us at least 1 month prior notice from the intended travel date.
- Passes must be issued before 31 December 2014.
- Validity of the pass(es) is 6 months from the issuing date.
- Rail Europe prize winner’s passes are non-transferable, non-cash-redeemable, are not permitted to be sold or traded and their validity cannot be extended. (The winner of the pass(es) must be among the travellers)
- Any seat reservation fees and additional costs are not included in the prize and are at the Prize Winner’s own expense and responsibility.
SECOND PRIZE DETAILS: The second best entry as determined by the judges will win the Second Prize.
The second prize consists of FRENCH ESCAPE FOR TWO AT THE HUNTER VALLEY
Included is Two (2) nights at the 5 star Chateau Elan at The Vintage, one of Australia's finest golf and spa resorts, located in the heart of Hunter Valley wine country, 1 dinner voucher at the resorts restaurant, 1 Citroën for the weekend - from Friday to Sunday and Two (2) return flights if winners are not from Sydney.

1. CITROËN PRIZE - SPECIFIC TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Second prize includes two nights in a one bed spa villa room with breakfast served daily. valued at $812 at the 5 star Chateau Elan at The Vintage, one of Australia's finest golf and spa resorts, located in the heart of Hunter Valley wine country. Additional to this is a $200 dinner voucher at the Legends Grill in the Vintage Clubhouse. Prize includes two return economy tickets by plane if the winners are out of Sydney. All other transfers are at the winners expense. CITROEN Australia will provide a car with a full tank of fuel from Friday to Monday with pick up made available at Sime Darby Australia, 350 Parramatta Road, Homebush. Prize is valid until 29/10/2014. Public Holidays and certain dates are not permitted due to availability. Prize winner must be over the age of 18 and possess a full drivers licence. No provisional or learner drivers are permitted. Car is insured however any excess in case of an accident is made at the drivers expense. All fines, tolls and additional petrol to be paid by the prize winner. Total prize pool is valued at $2,220 plus GST. Winner will be contacted by phone or mail.
Prizes are not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for other prizes or cash. If any prize (or any part of any prize) is unavailable for any reason, the Promoter may in its sole discretion, reserve the right to substitute the prize (or part of the prize) with a prize to the equal value and/or specification.
