FOOTY SHOW - CRACK A FATTY COMPETITION
CRACK A FATTY is back!

Starting on Thursday 13th March 2014, you will be able to register your details for Crack A Fatty .

Then, from Thursday, 20th March, each Thursday during the FOOTY SHOW'S live broadcast, one lucky person will be called to participate for their chance to win.

Competition participants will be drawn the Wednesday prior to the on-air call to play via the phone. Upon answering the call, the winner must state "I GO TO BED WITH THE FAT" (or alternative phrase as deemed suitable by the Promoter in its absolute discretion).

If the person called answers the phone within five rings and answers correctly by saying "I GO TO BED WITH THE FAT" (or alternative phrase as deemed suitable by the Promoter in its absolute discretion) they can win a minimum of $100.00 in prizing and up to a maximum $15,000 in prizing.

Salmat Digital Pty Ltd. Helpline number: 1300 131 276. Each draw period closes 23:59 AEDST/AEST each Tuesday. All cash calls will be made during the broadcast of the FOOTY SHOW between Thursday 20th March, 2014 until Thursday, 18th September, 2014.

Entries must be 18 years and over. Open to NSW, ACT and QLD only. Entire competition closes Tuesday 16th September, 2014 at 23:59 AEST

1. Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these Conditions of Entry. Entries not completed in accordance with the Conditions of Entry or received after close of entry will not be considered. Incomplete or inaudible entries will be disregarded. The judge’s decision in relation to any aspect of the promotion is final and binding on every person who enters. No correspondence will be entered into.
2. Entry is open to all residents of NSW, QLD and the ACT, in Australia, aged 18 years and over, except for employees of the Promoter, Pty Ltd, Salmat Digital Pty Ltd and their immediate families, and all companies and agencies associated with this promotion.
3. At its sole discretion the Promoter may exclude any person(s) with a criminal record. At its sole discretion the Promoter may exclude any person who has appeared on any broadcast Quiz or Game Show within the 6 months prior to the record date.
REGISTRATION PROCESS
4. The Competition opens and closes each “Draw Period” as detailed in Table 1.
5. The promotion commences at 18.00 AEDST/AEST every Thursday from 13th March 2014 until Thursday 25th September 2014 and closes at 23.59 every Tuesday from 18th March 2014 until Tuesday 16th September 2014. Draws will take place at Salmat Digital Pty Ltd116 Miller Street North Sydney 2060 each Wednesday at 09.00 AEDST/AEST. The winners will be determined (as per Conditions 9 onwards) and will appear as contestants on The Footy Show on the following week. The winners will be published in the Australian as per Table 1.
6. There are two ways of registering for the Crack a Fat Competition:
a. 1-90 Call: Participants can call and register their full name, address and a telephone number they will be able to be contacted on during the next weekly Footy Show broadcast to 1902 559 444 Maximum 1-90 entry cost per message is 55c including GST. Calls from mobiles and pay phones may attract a higher rate.
b. SMS: Participants can text their full name, suburb and phone number they will be able to be contacted on during the next weekly NRL Footy Show broadcast to 199 59 444. Participants only need to submit a phone number that they can be contacted on if it differs from the mobile phone they entered the competition on. Maximum SMS entry cost per message is 55c including GST. The SMS entry mechanic is only open to consumers with a SMS compatible mobile phone connected to a service provider which permits text messaging to the promotional SMS number. It is recommended that entrants check with their individual service provider in this regard.
7. Multiple competition entries are permitted, subject to the following: (a) only one entry permitted per SMS message or 190 call; and (b) each entry must be submitted separately and in accordance with the entry requirements.
8. No responsibility accepted for late, lost, misdirected, incomplete or inaudible entries.
SELECTION OF CRACK A FAT CONTESTANTS
9. For each Draw Period, the Promoter will randomly select twenty (20) phone and SMS entrants from all valid entries registered in the Draw Period and record the order in which entries were drawn. The entrant must be available to attend the Channel 9 studios at 24 Artarmon Road, Willoughby NSW 2068 as outlined in Table 1 (or such other recording venue nominated by the Promoter in its absolute discretion). If not, the Contestant forfeits their opportunity to take part. Failure to attend the studio or other recording venue on the Appearance Date at the arranged time for any reason will constitute forfeiture from taking part in the Competition. In such circumstances, a member of the studio audience will be randomly selected as the Crack A Fat contestant.
10. The Promoter reserves the right to draw additional reserve entries (and record them in order), in the event that an invalid entry is drawn or an entrant drawn is ineligible.
11. An entrant is limited to being drawn once during the course of the Competition.
12. During the Program between 8:30pm and 11:00pm AEDST (or AEST where applicable) every Thursday the Promoter will call the randomly drawn entries, in the order they were drawn and recorded, and via their fixed line telephone and/or mobile telephone number from which their entry was originally received. The first entrant telephoned that satisfies condition 13 will be confirmed as the prize winner for that week.
13. There are three stages to qualify as an eligible Contestant to appear on the Program to play Crack A Fat:
a. The entrant called must answer this call within five (5) rings
b. Upon answering the call, the entrant must state “I Go to Bed with the Fat" (or alternative phrase as deemed suitable by the Promoter in its absolute discretion). If a representative of the initial entrant answers the fixed line telephone and/or mobile telephone number from which the entry was originally received, and fulfils this criteria by answering “I Go to Bed with the Fat" that representative also has a right to play as a Contestant on behalf of, and subject to the agreement with, the original entrant as deemed suitable by the Promoter in its absolute discretion.
c. The entrant must be available to attend the Channel 9 studios at 24 Artarmon Road, Willoughby NSW 2068 (or such other venue as is nominated by the Promoter in its absolute discretion) on the Appearance Date outlined in Table 1. If not, the Contestant forfeits their opportunity to take part. Failure to attend the studio on the Appearance Date at the arranged time for any reason will constitute forfeiture from taking part in the Competition. In such circumstances, a member of the studio audience will be randomly selected as the Crack A Fat contestant. If an episode of the Program is recorded in a city other than Sydney, the entrant will be required to attend the recording at the alternative venue nominated by the Promoter.
14. If the entrant does not qualify as outlined above in clause 13, that Contestant is ineligible and will not have the opportunity to appear on the Program. In this case, the operator will contact then next entrant drawn and recorded.
15. The Promoter will provide travel for qualified Contestants only as follows:
a. Queensland Residents: will receive one return economy airfare from the winner’s nearest capital city and one nights’ room only accommodation at a three star hotel for the night of the Appearance Date for the Contestant only. If an episode of the Program is recorded in Brisbane, a contestant whose official place of residence is at least 200 kilometres from the Brisbane recording venue will be provided with one nights’ room only accommodation for the night of the Appearance Date for the Contestant only.
b. NSW and ACT Residents: will be responsible for all travel and accommodation arrangements necessary to attend the Appearance Date. Residents whose official place of residence is at least 200 kilometres from the Channel 9 Studios as per the address outlined in clause 14 will be provided with one nights’ room only accommodation for the night of the Appearance Date for the Contestant only. If an episode of the Program is recorded in Brisbane, then NSW and ACT residents will receive one return economy airfare from the winner’s nearest capital city and one nights’ room only accommodation at a three star hotel for the night of the Appearance Date for the Contestant only.
c. Travel must be taken to coincide with the Appearance Date and is subject to the booking and flight availability. Itinerary to be determined by the Promoter at its absolute discretion. Unless otherwise indicated, Contestants are responsible for all costs involved in taking part in the Competition, including but not limited to, travel to and from the Appearance Date, accommodation, meals, taxes and any other ancillary costs. No fee will be paid to any Contestant for any attendance in respect of any loss of earnings incurred because of the attendance at the studio on the Appearance Date.
16.The Promoter reserves the right to request that Contestants provide proof of identity. Identification considered suitable for verification is at the discretion of the Promoter.
0. On Appearance Date the Contestants will be met at the studio and will be required to sign a standard form Agreement in relation to the Program. The standard form Agreement will include, amongst other things, confirmation that the Contestant:
a. understands and agrees to the Rules;
b. consents to the recording of their contribution to the Program and to the exploitation of
the Program in all media worldwide; and
c. consents to a search of their person and belongings to ensure that they do not have
any device or other thing that would assist them in the Competition, as deemed necessary by the producers.
21. Each Appearance Date Contest will run as follows: Round 1
a. The Contestant will spin a large wheel
b. The wheel will be divided into 20 sections, with each section representing one of the
prizes.
c. The wheel pointer will fall on one number / prize
d. The Contestant will be able to decide whether to claim this prize, or whether to move
to round 2
Round 2
e. If the Contestant moves to Round 2 they forfeit their opportunity to claim the prize offered in Round 1.
f. 2 hosts from the show will spin around in a hamster wheel until 2 balls are dropped into a catcher.
g. Each ball represents one number/ prize.
h. The Contestant will have the option of choosing one number/prize from a ball which
the Contestant has grabbed/smashed or one number/prize from one of the balls that the host has grabbed/smashed.
PRIZES
22. Each week, the Contestant will have the opportunity to win one of 20 prizes. The minimum prize value per week will be $100 and the maximum prize pool value per week will be $15,000.
23. In the event that a prize, or part of a prize, is unavailable, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize of part of the prize in its discretion with an alternative prize or part of the prize to the same and equal recommended retail value and/or specification subject to any written directions from the various Lottery Departments.

24.All components of the prize are selected by the Promoter and at the discretion of the Promoter. All vouchers are valid for three months from winning.
25. Where specific models of prizes are not stipulated, the Promoter will award their choice of model of equal value to the value stipulated in these terms & conditions.
26. In the event that a prize, or part of a prize, is unavailable, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize or part of the prize in its discretion with an alternative prize or part of the prize to the same and equal recommended retail value and/or specification subject to any written directions from the various Lottery Departments.
27.Cash prizes will be awarded in the form of a cheque. Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable. Any prizes won by a Contestant will be sent to their last known address within 28 days of broadcast of the episode of the Program.
28. All prizes must be taken as offered. The prize, or any unused portion of the prize, is not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be redeemed as cash. The prize is valued in Australian dollars. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in the prize value. Prize winners are advised that tax implications may arise from their prize winnings and they should seek independent financial advice prior to acceptance of their prize. In the event that a potion of the prize is awarded to the winner in the form of a voucher / ticket / pass, redemption of that portion of the prize will be subject to the terms and conditions stipulated on the voucher / ticket / pass. The Promoter will not be liable for any voucher / ticket / pass that has been lost, stolen, forged, damaged or tampered with in any way.
GENERAL
29. By entering the promotion via SMS an entrant consents to the Promoter using the their personal details for the purposes of sending one (1) mobile terminated (MT) reply message which includes a confirmation of your entry in the promotion.
30. It is a condition of accepting a prize that the winner agrees to be interviewed, photographed and filmed at any time during the acceptance of the prize by the Promoter or their agents for a story or feature on this promotion to be developed and featured on the Nine Network (or any other form of media it deems suitable) without further remuneration or reference to the participant. Details may feature on Nine Network on a date to be determined by the Promoters. The inclusion of any such feature (including but not limited to creative control of the feature) will remain with the Promoter at all times.
31. Participants must ensure that all care is taken when dialling or sending messages to the promotional number. It is the complete responsibility of the participant to ensure that they dial or SMS the correct number, in the event that an error occurs the Promoter accepts no responsibility for either, costs incurred, responses received or all other consequences. This is the responsibility of the participant.
32. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any SMS messages not received by the Promoter or delays in the delivery of the SMS message due to technical disruptions or for any other reason. An entry will only be counted as being received when it has been received by the Promoter’s software system, not when it was sent from the handset.
33. The Promoter reserves the right to verify, at any time during or after the closing of the promotion, the validity of all entries and to disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process, including techniques designed to avoid payment of call costs or who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Conditions of Entry. SMS entries via the internet are not valid and will not be accepted. The use of any automated entry software, or any other mechanical or electronic means, that permits the participant to automatically enter repeatedly
