Classics, especially about life in the 18th-19th century, is mesmerizing. I immersed myself in the world of classics from Jane Eyre to The Swiss Robinson Family to Great Expectations. I read Little Women fairly recently, about 5-6 years ago. The descriptions of all the very different sisters and their circumstance drew me in. For some reason though, the above phrase about Jo stuck.

At one point in my life, I kept all my hair constantly tucked up wither in a ponytail or a bundle. If you read, I have sensitive and acne-ridden skin so if I could pull everything back ALL the time, I would! Except that I have a mile’s worth of forehead and have to keep some of my bangs down. And that hairstyle gets boring after a while. I want to keep my hair up or in a half-do but still not feel tired of it.

So, something like 2 years ago, I was reading on a some blog about this company called Lilla Rose that made these exquisite hair flexis as they call it. I was hooked. I drank in the various designs they had and would have ordered every single piece on there if I had a million bucks. I would. In the end, I settled for about 5-6.

Come this year, I figured it’s about time to add on to my loot and expand the selection. You see, in my previous order, I wasn’t too sure about the sizes and over-estimate. haha… I thought I had so much hair. So several of the flexis were a bit large. Enter Heather (. In my first order 2 years ago, it was a little tricky getting the flexis over seeing as Lilla Rose is US-based. This time however, it was a super duper breeze! All thanks to Heather. In my former order, I was subscribed to the very occasional Lilla Rose newsletter that informs me about promos and such and I saw that some of my out-of-production favourites are being brought back cheaper but for a limited time only.
