THE THREE VICES: PATIENCE

In celebration of Spring, C.H. is giving away two (2) ARCs of her latest release, THE THREE VICES: PATIENCE. Book one in her Regency-Era Historical Trilogy. Here's a snippet from the Prologue of PATIENCE:

His eyes seemed to frost over as their gazes held. Alasdair straightened to his full commanding height, his icy visage silently challenging her. Did he truly expect her to cause a scene?

He laid a protective hand atop the tiny gloved one resting upon his forearm and turned his back on her. No verbal assault, no physical blow, could have had a more devastating effect than to receive the cut direct from Lord Alasdair Makepeace.

The final arrow—resignation—buried itself so deeply alongside the others that Patience glanced down, expecting to find her mint green gown drenched crimson with her own blood.

There was none. Her pain was as invisible as she had become the moment Alasdair had moved away from her.

Her heart shattered, her belief in love destroyed, Lady Patience gathered the remnants of her tattered pride and walked away from the man responsible for destroying her dreams.
