EVER wondered what it would be like to serve a sentence in D Division at the notorious Pentridge Prison? Now you don’t have to commit a crime to find out
Pentridge Prison Events are hosting tours of D Division at the old “Coburg College”, famous for being the site of the hanging of Ronald Ryan – the last hanging in Australia. It is also the former home of Mark “Chopper” Read, Julian Knight, the “Brownout Strangler” Ed Leonski, and other high-profile criminals.
The tours will operate on Friday mornings and run for approximately an hour, including a detailed walk through D Division’s gallows, exercise yards and surrounding sites around Pentridge.

9.The competition opens at 5.30pm on Monday, April 14, 2014 and closes at 5pm on Wednesday, April 23, 2014.
10.The winners will be drawn at 11am at Leader’s Blackburn office on Thursday, April 24, 2014.
11.One entry allowed per person. Leader Community Newspapers reserves the right to invalidate all multiple entries submitted by one person.
12.Leader Newspapers reserves the right to disqualify any person who attempts to corrupt or tamper with the entry process.
13.Entries must include the entrant’s full name, email address, postal address and daytime phone number to be valid.
