Children's book prize pack to be won by Preston Leader and Northcote Leader readers

THE Homecooked Comics Festival is a celebration of comics, graphic novels and their creators, and it is on at the Northcote Town Hall next Sunday, April 27 from 12noon to 5pm.

The Festival features drawn stories from art comics to superheroes and manga, and everything in between.

Visit the Homecooked Festival for drawing activities, comics workshops, comics market, graphic novel lending library, an evolving exhibition wall, specialist art material retailers, stage events and more.

Thanks to the Homecooked Comics Festival, we have a children’s book prize pack to give away to readers of the Northcote Leader and Preston Leader. The prize pack includes The Adventures of Scarygirl by Nathan Jurevicius, Rivertime by Trace Balla and Horrendo's Curse by Amy Fienberg and Remy Simard. The prize is valued at $55, and must be collected from the Homecooked Comics Festival on Sunday, April 27 between 12noon and 5pm

Terms & Conditions

1.Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these terms and conditions of entry.

2.The promoter is Leader Associated Newspapers Pty Ltd, 1-7 Chapel St, Blackburn, Vic, 3130. ABN: 34 004 337 446.

3.Entry is available to residents who reside within the Northcote Leader and Preston Leader distribution areas. Suburbs include Alphington, Croxton, East Preston, Fairfield, Keon, Keon Park, Kingsbury, Merri, Mt Cooper, Northcote, Preston, Regent, Reservoir, Thornbury, Westgarth and West Preston.

4.Employees and their immediate families of Leader Associated Newspapers Pty Ltd, News Limited and agencies associated with the promotion are ineligible to enter.

5.Leader Newspapers’ privacy policy is available by visiting www.heraldsun.com.au/leader/privacypolicy. Personal information is used for distribution of prizes only – we do not pass your details on to third parties unless it is necessary for prize collection or booking purposes.

6.This promotion is known as the Leader/Homebaked Comics Festival Picnic competition.

7.Leader has one children’s book prize pack to give away to readers of the Northcote Leader and Preston Leader (one prize only). The prize pack includes three children’s books: The Adventures of Scarygirl by Nathan Jurevicius (RRP $24.99), Rivertime by Trace Balla ($RRP $14.99) and Horrendo's Curse by Amy Fienberg and Remy Simard (RRP $14.99). The prize is valued at $55. Total prize pool is $55.

8.The competition opens at 11.55 pm on Sunday, April 20, 2014 and closes at 9am on Thursday, April 24, 2014.

9.The winner will be drawn at Leader’s Blackburn office at 10am on Thursday, April 24, 2014.

10.The winner will be notified by telephone and email on Thursday, April 24, 2014. The prize must be collected from the Homecooked Comics Festival at Northcote Town Hall on Sunday, April 27 from 12noon to 5pm.

11.One entry allowed per person. Leader Community Newspapers reserves the right to invalidate all multiple entries submitted by one person.

12.Leader Newspapers reserves the right to disqualify any person who attempts to corrupt or tamper with the entry process.

13.Entries must include the entrant’s full name, email address, postal address and daytime phone number to be valid.

14.Leader Newspapers is not responsible for any technical malfunctions or problems with internet or network congestion, including injury or damage to the participant’s or any other person’s computer which may affect participation in this promotion or transmission of entries over the internet.

15.The Promoter does not accept responsibility for late, lost, misdirected entries or entries sent but not received by Leader.

16.Winner’s first initial, surname and postcode will be published at www.heraldsun.com.au/leader/competitions as soon as possible after the competition is drawn.

17.The judge’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. Entry details remain the property of the Promoter.
