The 17th Spanish Film Festival, presented by Estrella Damm, will feature 30 of the very best and most recent Spanish and Spanish-language Latin American films.
Bookended by two 2014 Goya Award-winning titles — 'Living Is Easy With Eyes Closed (Vivir es facíl con los ojos cerrados)' and 'Witching And Bitching (Las brujas de Zugarramurdi)' — the Festival will present a programme of Australian premieres and also celebrate the arrival of a very special guest, Álex González. González stars in two of the festival's films, 'Scorpion In Love' and 'Combustion'.
Special events will take place around the country, with films accompanied by festive entertainment, flowing drinks and delicious flavours. Taking place over 23 days, across six states and 11 Palace Cinema locations in Melbourne, Sydney, Canberra, Byron Bay, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth, the Festival will provide 'Reel Inspiración' to even the most eclectic film lover.
Expect emotional road trips, spirited comedies, swindle rom-coms, suspenseful thrillers, stylish dramas and high-octane action rides, all topped off with some hearty battles-of-the-sexes and plenty of laughter.
