Sailors with disABILITIES (SWD) is a not-for-profit organisation committed to changing the way people with a disability regard themselves and to changing society’s perception of the disabled. SWD uses sailing to build confidence and self-esteem of participants whilst learning the thrill and freedom of sailing in a team environment. SWD provides free sailing and training programs for children and adults with a disability or disadvantage and their carers. SWD rely on a team of hard working volunteers and generous support to deliver their programs.
