Name the bacterium game of skill competition
Terms and Conditions Information on how to enter and prize information forms part of these conditions of entry. Submission of an entry will be deemed acceptable on the conditions of entry set out below (“Conditions”).
Entry is only applicable to Australian residents aged 13 years or over (“Eligible Entrants”). Eligible entrants under 18 years old (“Minor”) must have parental or guardian approval to enter and further, the parent or guardian of the Minor must read and consent to these Terms and Conditions. Parents of guardians may be required by the Promoter to enter into a further agreement as evidence of consent to the Minor entering this promotion.
Employees and their immediate families of the Promoter, participating retailers and agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter.
“Betadine – Name the Bacterium” Competition (“Promotion”) will run for 4 weeks commencing at 9am on 14th July 2014 (AEST)
and ending at 8.59pm (AEST) on 10th August 2014 (“Promotional Period”). Entries will be drawn at 87 Yarraman Place, Virginia, QLD 4011.

Entries may only be submitted via Facebook page app by supplying a name and contact details
https://www.facebook.com/BetadineAU (“Betadine Facebook Page”), “Like” the Betadine Facebook Page (if they do not already Like the Betadine Facebook Page) and find the designated app (“Betadine – Name the Bacterium”) that is located on the Betadine Facebook Page. They must then suggest a creative name for the Betadine Bacterium Character in the photo via the comments field within the form.
This competition is a game of skill. All entries will be assessed based on, as specified on the designated post. Winners will be announced and requested to contact Betadine through their Facebook message system to claim their prize.
The Eligible Entrant must provide all the details required, including first and last name, postal address (PO Boxes are not acceptable), and valid email address.
Eligible Entrants will automatically receive one (1) entry into the Promotion and can use only one Facebook account to enter. For clarity purposes, Liking the Betadine Facebook Page does not, by itself, constitute entry into the Promotion.
The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an Eligible Entrant’s identity, age and address) and to disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these conditions of entry or who tampers with the entry process (including but not limited to tampering by way of use of automatic entry software). Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
Incomplete, indecipherable or illegible entries will be deemed invalid. Any incorrect details submitted may render the corresponding entry invalid.
An entry is deemed to be received at the time of its receipt by the Promoter and not at the time of transmission by the entrant.
The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
Total prize pool value is $5,970 and is correct at the time of print and comprised of the following: 1000 bacterium stress balls. All prizes will be posted to the winners, subject to the postal address being provided.
Subject to the unclaimed prize draw clause 19 of these Conditions, if for any reason whatsoever the prize winner does not claim their prize or an element of their prize by the time stipulated by the Promoter, then the prize or that element of the prize will be forfeited by the prize winner and neither cash nor any other prize will be awarded in lieu.
If a prize (or part of any prize) is unavailable, the Promoter, in its discretion, reserves the right to substitute the prize (or that part of the prize) with an alternative prize to the equal value and/or specification, unless to do so would be prohibited by law and subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority.
If for any reason whatsoever beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, the promotion is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, unless to do so would be prohibited by law, to: (a) disqualify any entrant; and/or (b) to cancel, suspend, modify, terminate or cancel the promotion.
Unless otherwise stipulated, the prize is not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash.
If required, an unclaimed prize draw may take place on 25th August 2014 at the same time and place as the original draw, subject to any directions from a regulatory authority. Winner will be notified in writing within two (2) days of draw.
Except for any implied condition or warranty the exclusion of which from these conditions of entry would contravene any statute or cause any part of these conditions of entry to be void (“Non Excludable Condition”), the Promoter excludes from these conditions of entry all conditions, warranties and terms, implied by statute, general law or custom. Except for any liability in relation to a Non Excludable Condition, the Promoter (including its officer, employees and agents) excludes all liability whether arising in tort (including, without limitation, negligence), contract or otherwise for any personal injury or any other loss or damage (including without limitation loss of opportunity or loss or profits) whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the promotion, including, without limitation, the following: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control): (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any variation in prize value to that sated in these conditions of entry; (e) any tax implications; (f) the cancellation or postponement of the Promotion; and/or (g) a prize or use of a prize.
Each Eligible Entrant consents, if the Eligible Entrant becomes a winner, to the Promoter using the Eligible Entrant’s name, likeness, image and/or voice (including photograph, film and/or recording of the same) in an media for an unlimited period of time without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this promotion (including any outcome), the Promoter and or products/services supplied by the Promoter.

www.facebook.com/BetadineAU and relates to the way the Promoter collects Eligible Entrants’ personal information in order to conduct the Promotion and provide any goods/services requested and may, for that purpose, disclose such information to third parties, including, but not limited to, prize suppliers or a regulatory authority and for any purpose to which the entrant has previously consented, including but not limited to, future promotional, marketing and publicity purposes. Eligible Entrants should direct any request to access, update or correct information to the Promoter. All entries become the property of the Promoter. The Promoter’s Privacy Policy can be found at
