Crown Hotels Competition Terms and Conditions:
Entering the Competition:
This Competition is governed by and subject to the following Terms and Conditions (Competition).
Information on how to enter and prizes form part of the Terms and Conditions.
Participation in this Competition constitutes an acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
The Competition commences at 9.00am on Thursday 15 May 2014 and concludes at 5.00pm on Sunday 28 September 2014 (Competition Period).
Patrons must book and stay during the Competition Period via any one of the below hotel packages to enter the Competition:
‘Family Time’ Crown Towers Melbourne;
‘A Family Retreat’ Crown Metropol Melbourne;
‘Winter Saver’ Crown Promenade Melbourne;
‘Family Blockbuster’ Crown Metropol Perth; or
‘Winter Comforts’ Crown Promenade Perth.
In accordance with clause e), patrons will receive one (1) automated entry into the Competition upon check-out. Entry into the Competition will be registered under the booking name. Patrons may receive a maximum of one (1) entry for the Competition.
All entries must be received by 5.00pm on Sunday 28 September 2014. No other method of entry will be accepted.
The Competition draw will take place at 2.00pm on Monday 29 September 2014 at Crown Marketing, Level 4, Crown Entertainment Complex, 8 Whiteman Street, Southbank, VIC, 3006. The first valid entry randomly selected will be deemed the winner of the Competition.
Prize
The Prize package is:
A five night stay at Crown Towers Macau in a Deluxe King room with daily breakfast for two people valued at $5,766.70;
Qantas Business Class return airfares (including relevant airport taxes)for two people from Australia to Hong King valued at $9,480.00; and
Return transfers for two people by ferry from Hong Kong to Macau valued at $213.00.
Total Prize value for the Competition is $15,459.70
The Prize will be in the form of a gift certificate and must be redeemed prior to Sunday 1 March 2015. If the Prize (or any aspect of the Prize package) is not redeemed within this period, the Prize will be deemed forfeited.
The Prize excludes special event periods and black-out periods including 29 September – 7 October 2014, 2-8 November 2014, 24 December – 1 January 2015 and 20-28 February 2015. Bookings are essential.
The Prize is strictly non-transferable and non-redeemable for cash or any other goods or services and is subject to availability.
The gift certificate is for the Prize package described in 2a) only and cannot be redeemed for food and beverage. The gift certificate is subject to terms and conditions stated on the gift certificate.
Important notice to all patrons:
The Prize is subject to availability and is not to be used in conjunction with any other offer.
The Competition is only open to persons aged 18 years and over who are not excluded from the Casino or otherwise prohibited from entering the Crown Melbourne or Crown Perth Complexes for any reason.
The winner will be notified in writing via email and may also be contacted by phone on Tuesday 30 September 2014.
The winner will be shipped the gift certificate via Express Post within two business days of receiving the mailing address and other requested details from the winner.
Employees of the Crown Group of Companies, Crown Melbourne and Crown Perth are not permitted to participate in this Competition.
Subject to law, (including its employees, agents and contractors) have no liability to any person for injury (including death), loss or damage whatsoever howsoever arising in connection with this Competition or the prize (including the awarding, condition, use or misuse of the prize), This clause does not apply to the extent that Crown’s liability (if any) arises from an act or omission of Crown in respect of its supply of services and/or goods to a prize winner in the ordinary course of Crown’s business.
Crown’s decisions in connection with any aspect of this Competition will be final and binding on each entrant.
Any failure to comply with these Terms and Conditions may result in disqualification of any entrant.
Disqualification will be at Crown’s sole discretion and no correspondence will be entered into.
Subject to clause 3(k) and (p), entrants’ information collected during this Competition will not be disclosed to any third parties, unless such disclosure is required by law.
The winner’s details will be published on the Crown Melbourne website (
www.crownmelbourne.com.au) for a period of 28 days from Wednesday 1 October 2014.
Where the prize winner (including his or her guest) is not able to redeem any part of the prize package due to physical inability or incapacity, poor weather or any other circumstances beyond Crown’s or the prize provider’s reasonable control, then that of the prize will be forfeited and is not redeemable for cash, or any other prize, goods or services.
If the prize is unavailable for any reason at the time of the prize draw, Crown will instead award the winner a similar prize of equivalent value (as determined by Crown).
Crown reserves the right to cancel this Competition at any time (such as in the case of unforeseen circumstances outside Crown’s reasonable control) but only after consultation with the Victorian Commission for Gambling and Liquor Regulation.
All meals, beverages, tours, tips, transfers and any other extras not stated in the prize descriptions in clause 2a) are the sole responsibility of the prize winner.
Crown reserves the right and licence to use the winner’s name, suburb, photograph, image and likeness for the purpose of promoting and advertising the Competition and/or the Crown Entertainment Complex (Crown Melbourne and Crown Perth).
Third party terms and conditions (such as those of the prize provider) may apply in relation to the use of the prizes.
In the event that the prize draw cannot be conducted at the specified time, due to unforeseen circumstances outside Crown’s reasonable control, the prize draw will take place as soon as practicable after the delay has been resolved.
For the purposes of these Terms and Conditions, ‘Crown’ means Crown Melbourne Limited ABN 46 006 973 262.
