CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
‘The Kitty VIP Booth Giveaway’
Promoter:
The promoter is Jupiters Limited ABN 78 010 741 045 trading as Treasury Casino & Hotel, George St, Brisbane QLD 4000. Telephone (07) 3306 8888.
(“Treasury”).
Promotion
1. "The Kitty VIP Booth Giveaway” (“Promotion”) will be conducted on The Kitty Facebook page (“The Kitty FB Page”) managed by Treasury.
2. The Promotion will commence on the page at 2:00pm every Wednesday beginning 9 July 2014 and will close at 11:00am the following Tuesday, for a prize winner to be drawn at 2.00pm that same Tuesday. The promotion will continue on a weekly basis until the final Prize Winner announcement at 2.00pm on Tuesday 7 October 2014 (“Promotion Period). All times are listed in Australian Eastern Standard Time.
Eligibility to Enter
3. To be eligible to participate in the Promotion, during the Promotion Period, a person must:
a. be 18 years of age or older;
b. not be the subject of an exclusion direction or a self-exclusion order pursuant to the Casino Control Act 1982 (Qld);
c. Must be a resident of Queensland; and
d. Must be an individual and not a business or enterprise.
A person who meets the above criteria will be referred to as an “Eligible Entrant”.
Entries
4. Eligible Entrants will only be able to enter the Promotion once each week.
5. To enter the Promotion, Eligible Entrants must, during the Promotion Period, visit the Kitty FB page, ‘like’ the current competition post and comment answering the question asked (“Entry”). Each week Treasury will provide a new question and Eligible Entrants must answer the question for that week.
6. At 2.00pm every Tuesday, a representative of Treasury will select one (1) Eligible Entrant (“Prize Winner”) from the prior week’s entries, which they consider the most creative. The Prize Winner will be announced on the page by 3.00pm that day. The Prize Winner will then be required to email
thekitty@echoent.com.au within seventy-two (72) hours to book in and redeem the Prize.
7. Treasury’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
8. The Prize Winner will be required to present valid photo identification at ‘The Kitty’ in Treasury Casino & Hotel at the agreed booking date and time in order to claim the Prize. In the event that the Prize Winner cannot provide suitable identification the Prize Winner will forfeit their Prize in whole and no substitute will be offered. In this instance no redraw will occur.
Unclaimed Prizes and Draws
9. If the Prize Winner’s Entry is deemed not to comply with these Conditions of Entry, that Entry will be discarded. There will be no redraws in the case of an invalid or unclaimed entry in accordance with Condition 7.
Invalid Draws/Entries
10. If an Entry is gained by means other than in accordance with these Conditions of Entry, the Entry may be deemed invalid.
11. If the Eligible Entrant no longer holds a Facebook account, has entered multiple times, the entry has been liked but no comment submitted, the Entry appears to have been tampered with or is otherwise invalid in accordance with these Conditions of Entry, Treasury reserves the right to refuse that Entry and deem it invalid.
The Prize
12. At each Prize Draw the Prize Winner will receive one (1) night’s access to a VIP booth at The Kitty for them and three (3) adults for the weekend (Friday, Saturday or Sunday) after the promotion draw. The Prize Winner will also receive a $100 food and beverage voucher to use on the night. Date to be selected by the Prize Winner and is subject to availability. Each prize is valued at $700(“Prize”).
13. Transport is not included in the Prize. The Prize Winner and the guests of the Prize Winner must be over 18 years or over.
14. The Prize will only be valid for use over the following weekend (Friday, Saturday or Sunday) after the Prize Draw. The Prize is not exchangeable, transferable, or redeemable for cash or for resale. The Prize Winner is responsible for any other charges incurred.
15. The total prize pool of the Promotion is valued up to $9,100.
General
16. By entering this Promotion the Entrant consents to Treasury announcing their name on Facebook as a Prize Winner.
17. Directors, management and employees of Echo Entertainment Group of companies (including any related body corporate as defined in the Corporations Act 2001) or of any suppliers or agencies associated with this Promotion and their ‘immediate families’ are not eligible to participate in this Promotion. For the purposes of this clause, ‘immediate families’ of an employee means the person’s spouse and family members residing at the same premises as the employee. The Echo Entertainment Group comprises, but is not limited to the businesses of The Star, Jupiters Hotel & Casino Gold Coast, Treasury Casino & Hotel and Jupiters Townsville Hotel & Casino.
18. Prize must be taken as stated and cannot be exchanged or redeemed for alternate prize. Any tax liability or implication which attaches to a prize is the responsibility of the Eligible Entrant claiming that Prize.
19. Treasury and Facebook are not responsible for any loss, damage or injury suffered or claimed (including, but not limited to, indirect or consequential loss or damage, personal injury or death, and direct or indirect loss or damage due to negligence or technical or mechanical malfunction) by an Eligible Entrant in relation to entering or participating in this Promotion or using the prize offered (except that which cannot be excluded by law).
20. Where that loss, damage or injury described in Condition 19 was caused by breach of these terms and conditions by Treasury or the wilful or negligent acts or omissions of Treasury, Condition 19 does not apply with respect to Treasury only to the extent that such loss, damage or injury was caused by Treasury’s breach, wilful or negligent acts.
21. Conduct of the entire Promotion, including decisions on the eligibility of persons to enter and validity of entry and prize, shall be the responsibility of, and at the absolute discretion of, Treasury. Continuation of the Promotion is at the Treasury’s discretion.
22. To the extent that a situation or issue arises for which these Conditions of Entry make no provision or in relation to which the relevant Conditions of entry are unclear, Treasury reserves the right to make a decision regarding such situation or issue which is not inconsistent with these Conditions of Entry.
23. While Treasury intends to conduct the Promotion as offered, Treasury reserves the right to cancel or change the Promotion or a prize offered in the Promotion if it can no longer continue the Promotion or offer a prize due to circumstances outside the Treasury’s control. Treasury reserves the right to cancel or change the Promotion or a Prize offered in the Promotion at any time in its sole and absolute discretion.
24. Treasury accepts no responsibility for late or non-received entries. Treasury does not guarantee the continuous or fault-free operation of the entry processes, including entry validating and receipting processes, during the Promotion.
25. Any entrant who tampers, or attempts to tamper, with the entry processes or tampers, or attempts to tamper with the processes used for the draws or who submits an entry which is not valid in accordance with these terms will be subject to disqualification at the discretion of Treasury.
26. The Prize Winners may be asked to participate in publicity or advertising at the request of Treasury. Participation in any such publicity or advertising is at the sole discretion of the relevant Prize Winner. The names of the Prize Winners will not be published without their consent except as announced at the TC Facebook Page and, as stated above.
27. Participation in the Promotion indicates acceptance of the terms and conditions governing the Promotion. These terms and conditions will be available at the Treasury Executive Offices and at treasurybrisbane.com.au throughout the Promotion Period.
28. By participating in this Promotion, each entrant’s entry/entries becomes the property of Treasury and may be used for the Treasury’s business analysis and marketing purposes in accordance with the Treasury’s privacy statement which can be viewed at
www.treasurybrisbane.com.au. Privacy law allows entrants to access their personal information held by the Treasury in certain circumstances. Failure to supply the personal information requested may result in an entry being deemed invalid.
29. This Promotion is no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook. Eligible Entrants understand that they are providing their information to Treasury and not to Facebook.
