PULP: A Film About Life, Death & Supermarkets is a wonderfully warm film about the iconic Britpop band, their enigmatic front man Jarvis Cocker and the effect of their music on their hometown Sheffield.
Director Habicht weaves together the band’s personal offerings with dream-like tableaux, featuring ordinary people recruited on the streets of Sheffield unveiling the deep affection they have for the band. Funny, moving, life-affirming and (occasionally) bewildering, the film had its World Premiere at SXSW 2014 to critic and audience acclaim.
