There’s probably been a few times you’ve wanted to cycle away from an awkward situation or towards a croissant so fast that your legs are no longer visible to the human eye – and only now is that possible.

The kind folk over at Reid Cycles have wheeled a very pretty Ladies 7 speed Classic ($249) with basket kit ($39.95) down to the Yen office and we are keeping it safe (i.e. riding it down the hallway and ram-rodding the paper bin) until you enter this competition and claim it as your own.

Reid has five stores throughout Australia and an always-there-for-you online store where you can get a hold of the pastel bike of your dreams, and the road-safe helmet of your enemy’s dreams because, let’s face it, head buckets don’t bring about anyone’s best angle. But they sure are important so tighten that chin buckle up real good. Reid also stocks cycling attire, road bikes, cycles for the dudes in your life and all manner of accessories from night lights to something called a Bidon which we don’t even know what that is. But it sounds impressive.

To win a bike of your very own from Reid in the colour of your choice (subject to available stock), simply tell us in 25 words or less ‘What would you nickname your new bike and why?’

TERMS AND CONDITIONS: Competition is open to Australian residents only. Starts 7 October, 2014 and ends 18 October, 2014. This is a game of skill and entrants must answer this question in 25 words or less: “What would you nickname your new bike and why?” The most creative answer will win. 1 winner will receive a Reid 7-speed Ladies Vintage Classic Bike + Basket. Total prize pool value $288.95. Entries will be judged on 19 October, 2014 at nextmedia Level 6, 207 Pacific Hwy, St Leonards NSW 2065. The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. All email addresses collected in the entry form will be added to the Yen Newsletter database. You may unsubscribe from this free service at any time. Winners will be announced in the ‘Winners’ section of the Yen website and prizes will be sent to the postal address provided on the entry form or contacted via email about collection.
