CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
1. Competition and Promoter
1.1. By entering the “Win a trip to the USA thanks to Halloscream at Luna Park
Sydney” Game of chance (Chance) and in consideration for the opportunity
to participate in the Competition, each entrant agrees to be bound by and
observe these Conditions of Entry. Information on how to enter and prize
details form part of these Conditions of Entry.
1.2. The promoter of the Competition is Luna Park Sydney Pty Ltd
2. Who may enter
2.1. Subject to paragraphs 2.2 and 2.3, entry into the Competition is open to all
permanent residents of Australia
2.2. Entrants must be 18 years of age or older.
2.3. Employees of Luna Park Sydney Pty Ltd (Luna Park Sydney), Australian
Radio Network (ARN), their agencies, affiliate businesses and other entities in
association with this Promotion together with the immediate families of
employees and members of the household of those persons are not eligible to
enter.
2.4. Each entrant may submit multiple entries in the Competition during the
Competition Period (defined below).
3. Competition Period
3.1. The Competition commences 8am Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST)
on October 1st 2014 and closes at 9:00pm Australian Eastern Daylight Time
(AEDT) on 1 November 2014 (Competition Period).
3.2. Entries not received during the Competition Period or not completed in
accordance with these Conditions of Entry will not be eligible to win.
4. How to enter
Eligible entrants must, during the Competition Period either a) go to the LUNA
PARK SYDNEY website at
www.buyonline.lunaparksydney.com/halloscreamand purchase any ticket to Halloscream for either Friday 31 October or
Saturday 1 November 2014 or b) purchase tickets at the door on either Friday
31 October or Saturday 1 November 2014
You will receive one entry in the draw for each transaction. There is no limit to
the number of times you can enter the draw. Any cost associated with
accessing the Luna Park Sydney website is the responsibility of the entrant
and is dependent upon the internet service provider used. Any unclaimed or
refunded Halloscream tickets will have their entry to this competition
removed.
5. Prizes
5.1. The Competition is a game of chance. The Major Prize draw will take place at
LUNA PARK SYDNEY, 1 Olympic Drive Milsons Point NSW 2061 on 5
November 2014. The Promoter’s decision in relation to any aspect of the
competition is final and binding on every entrant. No correspondence will be
entered into.
5.2. 1 Major Prize will be awarded in the Competition. There will be no runners-up.
6. Major Prize
6.1. The first eligible entry drawn will win one (1) round trip for two (2) persons to
the USA in October 2015, as follows:
A. Return economy airfares ex Sydney to Los Angeles
B. Return Private transfers Airport to Hotel
C. 5 nights standard room – 4+* Beverley Hills property
D. 2 adult Front of Line tickets - Universal studios
Total Cost: $2699.00 per person
Terms & Conditions
6.2. All elements will be awarded in the form of vouchers, and all taxes are
inclusive.
6.3 Package is not transferable and must be booked through Donna Barlow
Travel – (02) 9888 5555.
6.4 Travel must be booked by 31 December 2014 for travel between 01 October
2015 - 30 November 2015.
6.5 Reservations made on your behalf are subject to availability at the time of
making a booking.
6.6 Hotel based on Beverley Hills based 4+*(or similar) property. Extra nights can
be purchased at additional cost to the prize winner.
6.7 Prize includes Airport taxes and Government charges. Hotel gratuities and
security hold is the responsibility of the prize winner, as are meals and other
personal/incidental expenses.
6.8 The prize must be taken as offered, is subject to availability and is not
exchangeable, transferable, refundable or redeemable for cash.
6.9 No responsibility is accepted for any variation in the value of the prize. Any
incidental costs relating to the prize is the responsibility of the prize winner.
7. Prize Conditions
7.1. Exclusions: Anything not specified in these terms and conditions as being in
the prize package is excluded. In particular (but without limitation), the prize
does not include: gratuities, expenses including meals, ancillary costs and
spending money, ground transportation (excluding airport transfers), travel
insurance and passport fees.
7.2 At least one person taking part in the prize must be 18 years or over.
7.3 In the event that a prize is unavailable, the Promoter reserves the right to
substitute a prize of equal or greater value, subject to State Legislation.
7.4 Travel must be booked by 31 December 2014 for travel between 01 October
2015 - 30 November 2015.
7.5 The Promoter makes no representation as to the safety, conditions or other
issues that may exist at any destination.
7.6 A valid credit card is required at hotel check-in for incidentals.
7.7 It is the winner’s responsibility to be in possession of a valid passport with at
least 6 months validity at the time of travel. It is the winner’s responsibility to
arrange any necessary visas or visa waivers. Winners are responsible for the
cost of applying for their Visa or visa waivers if required.
8. Notification of prize winners
8.1. The Major Prize winner will be notified by telephone and in writing by email
within 2 business days of being drawn. The Major Prize winner must accept or
reject the prize by 12:00pm AEDT on 19 November 2014. If the prize remains
unclaimed at the end of this period, the Promoter will conduct an unclaimed
prize draw at 9:00am AEDT on 19 November 2014 at the same location as
the original draw. A winner, if any, will be notified by phone and in writing by
email within two business days of the draw.
9. Information for all prize winners
9.1. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in the value of a
prize. If for any reason a prize winner does not take an element of a prize
during the stated period and on the conditions stipulated by the Promoter or
any third party, that element of the prize will be forfeited and cash will not be
awarded in lieu of that element of the prize.
9.2. Each prize winner acknowledges that the prize may be subject to additional
terms and conditions imposed by third party prize suppliers. The prize winner
must become acquainted with any such additional terms and conditions prior
to taking the prize. The Promoter does not accept responsibility and is not
liable for any conditions imposed on the taking of the prize by any third party
prize supplier, or the breach of those conditions by any person
9.3 All entrants agree to provide the Promoter or the Promoter’s authorised agent
with identification and/or proof of age if selected as a prize winner. In
accepting a prize, the prize winner agrees to the limitation of liability set out
below. The form of identification and/or proof of age are at the discretion of
the Promoter.
10. Unclaimed prizes
10.1. If the prize remains unclaimed by 9:00am AEDT 19 November 2014, the
Promoter will conduct an unclaimed prize draw at the same location as the
original draw. A winner, if any, will be notified by phone and in writing by email
within two business days of the draw. The process will be repeated every 24
hours until a prize winner is contacted and the Major Prize is claimed.
10.2 Each prize remains the property of the Promoter until it is collected by the
selected prize winner or unclaimed prize winner as the case may be.
11. Limitation of Liability
11.1. Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded (including as set out
under paragraph 10.3), the Promoter, Luna Park Sydney, their related
corporations and associated agencies (and any of their personnel) exclude all
liability for any loss (including any damage, claim, injury, cost or expense)
which is suffered or incurred by any entrant (including the prize winner and
their companions) in connection with the Competition or a prize, including,
without limitation: (i) any indirect, economic or consequential loss; (ii) any loss
arising from the negligence of the Promoter, Luna Park Sydney, their related
corporations and associated agencies (and any of their personnel); and (iii)
any liability for personal injury or death.
11.2. No responsibility will be taken by the Promoter or its authorised agents for
lost, ineligible, misdirected or late entries due to technical reasons or any
other reason. Entries that are not genuine or are incomplete, late or in any
way fraudulent will be declared void.
11.3. Nothing in these Conditions of Entry limits, excludes or modifies, or purports
to limit, exclude or modify, the statutory implied guarantees/warranties as
provided under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) and the ASIC
Act 2001 (Cth), including the statutory consumer guarantees under the
Australian Consumer Law, or similar laws in the States and Territories of
Australia.
11.4 As a condition of accepting a prize, winners must sign any legal
documentation as and in the form required by the Promoter in its absolute
discretion, including but not limited to a legal release and indemnity form.
12. Privacy
12.1 Luna Park Sydney collects personal information in order to conduct the
promotion and may, for this purpose, disclose such information to third
parties, including but not limited to agents, contractors, service providers,
prize suppliers and, as required, to Australian regulatory authorities. Entry is
conditional on providing this information. Luna Park Sydney may, for an
indefinite period, unless otherwise advised, use the information for
promotional, marketing, publicity, research and profiling purposes, including
sending electronic messages or telephoning the entrant. Entrants should
direct any request to access, update or correct information to the Promoter.
Entrants in the Competition acknowledge that Luna Park Sydney may share
an entrant’s personal information with the Promoter’s Australian and foreign
related entities which may contact the entrant with marketing messages and
special offers. Without limiting the foregoing, Luna Park Sydney may disclose
the prize winner’s personal information to third parties for the purpose of
fulfilling the prize. If an entrant elects to receive information from other third
parties, Luna Park Sydney may also disclose the entrant’s personal
information for that purpose. Entrants may find out more information about

13.1. Acceptance of the prize constitutes consent on the prize winner’s part to allow
the use of the prize winner’s name, image, voice and/or likeness by Luna
Park Sydney and the Promoter for editorial, advertising, promotional,
marketing and/or other purposes without further compensation except where
prohibited by law.
13.2 No correspondence will be entered into and the Promoter’s decision is final
and binding.
13.3 If for any reason the Competition is not capable of running as planned,
including due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, technical
failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter, which corrupt
or affect the fairness or integrity or proper conduct of the Competition, the
Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual
who tampers with the entry process and to cancel, modify, terminate or
suspend the Competition. The Promoter is not responsible for any:
(a) malfunction, delay or traffic congestion on any communication network or
line, computer online system, servers or providers, computer equipment,
software, or website;
(b) failure of any SMS, email or entry to be received by the Promoter; nor
(c) any injury or damage to entrants or any other person related to or resulting
from participation in the competition or downloading any materials in a
competition.
13.4 By entering this competition you are opting in to receive information and
communications from Luna Park Sydney.
