TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

 This Competition is conducted by the State of Queensland through the Department of the Premier and Cabinet,100 George Street, Brisbane QLD 4000 ABN 65 959 415 158 (“the State”).
 Information on how to enter and the prizes form part of these Terms and Conditions of Entry (“Terms and Conditions”). By submitting a completed “World Class Backyard BBQ” registration form the Entrant accepts the Terms and Conditions.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
 Entry is open to persons aged eighteen years and over residing in Queensland (“the Entrants”).
 Entrants must reside within the Brisbane City local government area (link to http://www.ecq.qld.gov.au/myCouncil_2012.aspx?id=3984). Entries which do not meet this requirement are invalid.
 The World Class Backyard BBQWorld Class Backyard BBQ Competition (“the Competition”) commences at 9.00 am on Monday 27 October 2014. Entries close at 5.00 pm on Thursday 6 November 2014 (“the Closing Date”).
 To enter the Competition, Entrants must before the Closing Date submit a completed “World Class Backyard BBQ” official registration form (“the Entry”) available on the G20 Cultural Celebrations website (www.qld.gov.au/g20cultural).
 For the Entry to be valid, Entrants must complete the registration form, submit four photographs of their backyard, with at least one photograph containing an image of the Entrant, and answer the question at www.qld.gov.au/g20cultural by the Closing Date.
 An Entrant must be an individual and not a company or organisation. Employees and officers of the State and any person associated with the administration of the Competition, including employees of Southern Cross Austereo (“SCA”), and persons associated with the supply of the prizes, are ineligible to enter.
 Entrants warrant that they are the owner of the residence nominated on the Entry or have the legal authority to host the Major Prize at their residence.
 Any Entry received after the Closing Date will be deemed invalid. No responsibility is accepted for late, lost, delayed or misdirected Entries.
 The State reserves the right to accept or reject any Entry at its sole discretion.
 Entries which are incomplete, incorrectly completed or illegible are invalid.
 Entrants must not enter more than once.
 All information submitted as part of the Entry, including the photographs, must be truthful and not misleading. The State reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any Entrant if the Entry is found to contain untruthful or misleading information.
PRIZES
 The Major Prize shall be provided at the Entrant’s residence as specified in the Entry on Friday 14 November 2014, at a time to be agreed between 10.00 am to 4.30 pm and consists of the following:
o a live performance by Pete Murray and Dami Im (“the Performers”), including the supply and operation of all AV equipment and staff
o a catered BBQ for up to 50 people (food and non-alcoholic drinks only) o security personnel as deemed necessary by the State.
is the Entrant’s responsibility to ensure that their contact details on the Entry are correct. If the contact details are not correct, the State may award a prize to another Entrant. The State’s decision in relation to any aspect of the Competition is final and binding on every person who enters.
 Entrants will be shortlisted for the Major Prize to four Entrants. Shortlisted Entrants consent to the State and its contractors, suppliers and SCA conducting a site inspection at the Entrant’s residence prior to determining the Major Prize winner. Shortlisted Entrants will provide all reasonable assistance to the State to conduct a site inspection.
 Before being declared a winner of the Major Prize, the selected Entrant may be required to sign and return to the State (a) a legal release in a form determined by the State and; (b) a deed of confidentiality preventing the winner from disclosing that they have won the Major Prize until after the Major Prize is delivered. These documents must be signed and returned to the Department within 24 hours of notification by the State.
 The State shall have the right to require government-issued photo identification and/or proof of eligibility and residency to verify the validity of an Entry. Failure to provide such proof may result in disqualification.
 The winner of the Major Prize will be notified by phone. Entrants acknowledge and agree that the winner of the Major Prize may be contacted and interviewed on-air during a B105 radio show and the winner will be encouraged to participate in reasonable promotional activities as requested by the State or SCA. The winner of the Major Prize consents to the publication of their name and suburb on the G20 Cultural Celebrations website after the event. MAJOR PRIZE
 The winner of the Major Prize agrees to provide such reasonable assistance to the State as is necessary to facilitate the hosting of the Major Prize at their residence, including, but not limited to, allowing the State and its officers, employees, contractors, suppliers (including but not limited to officers and employees of SCA) access to the residence at reasonable times for the purpose of inspecting and setting-up for the Major Prize. The winner consents to the State and SCA placing promotional signage at the backyard of the residence on the day of delivery of the Major Prize.
 The State shall not be responsible for any additional costs associated with the delivery of the Major Prize and the winner of the Major Prize agrees, at his/her own cost, to supply electricity and water to facilitate the hosting of the Major Prize. The winner of the Major Prize shall ensure that guests and performers have access to bathroom facilities at their residence during delivery of the Major Prize.
 The winner of the Major Prize acknowledges that no more than 50 individuals are to attend the Major Prize (excluding officers and employees of the State and its contractors and suppliers). The winner of the Major Prize agrees and acknowledges that attendees in excess of this number will be refused entry to the residence.
 The State reserves the right to make a final decision regarding the operations, safety and security for the conduct of the Major Prize. If the State, in its sole discretion, considers that the Major Prize is not capable of being delivered in a safe or secure manner or as reasonably anticipated or that the hosting of the Major Prize as planned is likely to bring the event or the State into disrepute, contempt or public ridicule, the State reserves the right to modify, vary, suspend, terminate or cancel delivery of the Major Prize.
 Any change in the value of any prize occurring between the publishing date and date the prize is claimed is not the responsibility of the State.
 The prize must be taken as offered and are not transferable or exchangeable, and cannot be taken as cash. The Major Prize winner must be available to redeem the prize on the date stated in the Terms and Conditions. If the Major Prize winner is not able to redeem the prize on the specified date, the State may determine another Major Prize winner in its discretion.
 Entrants agree that if they are the Major Prize Winner, Entrants and their guests will comply with all lawful directions given by security personnel in relation to delivery of the Major Prize.
 If this Competition is compromised in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the State, the State reserves the right in its sole discretion to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the Competition.
 The State reserves the right to substitute a similar prize, if a prize (or any part of) cannot be awarded for any reason.
the Performers are not able to perform as scheduled due to illness or any other circumstance outside of the control of the State, the State may, in its absolute discretion, provide substitute performers as part of the Major Prize or postpone the delivery of the Major Prize.
 Prior to delivery of the Major Prize, the State may, in its sole and absolute discretion, substitute an alternative venue for delivery of the Major Prize.
EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY
 Entrants agree that if they win the Major Prize:
(a) participation is entirely at their own risk;
(b) property may be damaged as a result of hosting the Major Prize;
(c) theyareresponsibleforsecuringtheirresidenceandareresponsibleforanylossofvaluablesor
possessions; and
(d) they are responsible for effecting and maintaining a policy of insurance for damage to the
residence.
 To the full extent permitted by law, the State is not liable for any death, injury, damages, expenses or loss whatsoever (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) to persons or property by reason of any act or omission, deliberate or negligent, by the State, or its officers and agents in connection with participation in the Competition or the arrangements for supply, or the supply, of any prizes to the winners of the Competition.
GENERAL TERMS
 The State reserves the right to amend the Terms and Conditions at any time until the Closing Date.
 The Entrant warrants that they are the owner of the copyright in any photograph submitted (or that they are the owner’s duly authorised agent for the purpose of agreeing to these terms and conditions) and agrees to:
o grant without cost to both the State and SCA, a paid up, non-exclusive, non-transferrable, irrevocable, perpetual licence (including the right to sub-licence) in respect of any photograph; to use, exploit and otherwise exercise all intellectual property rights for any purpose connected with the Competition or its future promotion;
o consent to any act or omission in the exercise of the licence that might otherwise constitute an infringement of moral rights, including integrity of authorship and attribution, as conferred by the Copyright Act 1968 (Cth).
 The Terms and Conditions will be governed by the laws of Queensland. PRIVACY STATEMENT
 The Entrant acknowledges and agrees that:
a) their personal information will be collected by the State for the purpose of coordinating/ administering the Competition and for notifying Entrants of upcoming events, initiatives and programs administered by the Department;
b) the Entrant consents to the State disclosing their personal information to SCA for the purpose of administering the competition;
c) if the Entrant wins the prize, the Entrant additionally consents to the State and SCA disclosing their name, suburb, and/or photograph or image in connection with the Competition in promotional material, including on the G20 Cultural Celebrations website and social media, without payment or compensation;
d) by submitting a photograph of your backyard, the Entrant is warranting that all recognisable persons in the photograph have consented to the State or SCA publishing the their images for use in current or future “World Class Backyard BBQ” promotional material.
