As we count down the days until Christmas, Western Australians still have plenty of time to get their hands on the ultimate last minute stocking filler - a ticket in the $31 million Megadraw.
Drawn on New Years Eve, this could be the ultimate kick start to 2011 for Lotto players and their loved ones.
With ticket prices to suit every budget, players can spend as little as $2.40 on a four game ticket, with other options such as a 30 game Slikpik available for under $20.
Lotterywest outlets around the State also have various Christmas gift packs on offer at their stores as ideal last minute presents. These gift packs are made up of a combination of Lotto and Scratch 'n' Win tickets and can be tailored to suit your budget.
"It really is a matter of luck on what type of ticket people win Division One. Some players have won huge multi-million dollar Lotto fortunes on only a very small investment," said Lotterywest spokesperson Pina Compagnone.
If the last Megadraw is anything to go by, Western Australia will hopefully see more local players make the 2010 Division One winners list, just before the New Year arrives.
The last Megadraw held in January this year, saw two Western Australians share in the Megadraw riches and become instant millionaires, scooping over $1.6 million each.
Our State continued its streak of Lotto luck this year; achieving 73 Division One wins to date, handing out over $105 million in total Division One prizes.
Players can purchase a ticket in the $31 million Megadraw up until 5pm on Friday 31 December 2010. Around $7 million will be raised from this draw to directly support the Western Australian community.
No Lotterywest terminals will be open for trading on Christmas Day. Trading will resume at 8am (WST) on Boxing Day through retail outlets that have elected to stay open for business.
