Tasmania is becoming renowned for fine food and wine served up with some stunning scenery and after Inviting the World to dinner as part of Restaurant Australia in November, the word is sure to spread across the globe even further.
To bring some of the island state's finest food and wine into your lives, we're giving you the chance to win a copy of Cradle Coast Pantry or Tamar Valley Pantry.

Master Photographer Philip Kuruvita and Chef John T Bailey have combined their considerable skills to publish these beautiful books. With scenery that shows where and why the produce thrives to the mouth-watering images of the produce plated up and inviting your tastebuds to join in, these books will take you to the places and tastes of the island state.

We have two copies of each to be won!

Cradle Coast Pantry

The North West of Tasmania sits beside Bass Strait with the iconic Cradle Mountain to the south.

Philp Kuruvita says in his introduction "If it feels like there are a lot of cows in this book, then we have done our job..." Fear not though, this isn't a book about Daisy and her herd, it's just a simple fact that there ARE a lot of cows in the North West!

When you see the rolling, lush hills, dotted with those very cows enjoying the pure air, chewing on the grass growing green in fertile soils, the mind can't help but turn to things of the dairy – fresh milk that tastes like milk should and creates rich, thick cream, cheeses aplenty and chocolate, oh the chocolate...

With such bountiful land, there's much more to come: fruits, wine, salmon, pigs and sheep, olives, whisky, feijoas, cider and beef from Cape Grim where we know the freshest air in the world blows over their hides.

Whilst Philip captures the landscapes and the people (and the odd cow or two), John T Bailey encapsulates the flavours of the region in delicious recipes, each of course with its own photo to get your tastebuds awake and yearning.

Tamar Valley Pantry

The Tamar River lazily wends its way from Launceston north to its mouth at Bass Strait. Along the winding river banks and throughout the valley are vineyards, food producers and providores.

There are berries and honey, preserves and olives, apples of course, bakers and butchers, lamb and lavender, goats and cheese, chocolate and fish, and the list still goes on. In fact for a food and wine lover, this Valley has so much to offer, it’s often hard to know where to begin.

With this book you can travel the Tamar and plan your next trip with those most important considerations top of mind: the best food and wine experiences possible!
