Score Mr. Braff’s follow-up to ‘Garden State’

Ten years after Garden State, Zach Braff returns with his second feature. He also headlines the film as Aidan, an actor well into his thirties. Success in his chosen craft has long eluded him, so his wife Sarah (Kate Hudson) supports the family through her boring office job. When Aidan’s father Gabe (Mandy Patinkin) announces that he is seriously ill and can no longer afford to fund his grandchildren’s expensive education at a Jewish school, Aidan takes the decision to homeschool his precocious kids. At the same time, he tries to bring round his reclusive brother (Josh Gadd), who refuses to engage with their ailing father. Braff successfully mines big themes like spirituality, ambition and brotherly loyalty to tell a touching and funny tale.

For your chance to win Wish I Was Here on Blu-ray, simply let us know your favourite triple threat – someone who’s written, directed and starred in their own film, and why you think they killed it! Email to competitions@filmink.com.au with your answer. Please include your full name and postal address.
