This year’s Ambassador is Paul West, from River Cottage Australia.
Ambassador Paul describes himself an ex chef / beginner farmer / lover of community / model / actress! Whilst the last two may be somewhat of an exaggeration , according to Paul, “the rest is the stone cold truth”.
He comes from a long line of hard working country cooks and has worked in almost every area of food production - from Melbourne’s wholesale markets, to all manner of food outlets – some not so reputable and others amongst the best in the world.
Paul believes good food should be the glue that binds our families and communities together and is looking forward to being part of the festival.
“I’m excited to be part of Devonport Food & Wine 2015 and to get to work with some of Tassie’s best food producers over the course of the Festival” said Paul West.
River Cottage Australia airs on Foxtel’s Lifestyle Food Channel and follows Paul’s attempts to grow, raise, hunt and forage for his food – whilst making friends in the community and having a laugh along the way.
He is currently filming the third season of the show.
