As Australia commemorates the Gallipoli centenary, country music icon Lee Kernaghan continues his commitment to helping others by releasing Spirit of the ANZACS, an album dedicated to our war heroes.
The album pays tribute to Australia’s service men and women, past and present. Each song on the 16-track recording is inspired by real letters sourced from the Australian War Memorial, and chronicles 100 years of sacrifice by Australians from the landing at Gallipoli to the bombing of Darwin, Kokoda, Long Tan, and the dust of Uruzgan Province in Afghanistan.
Proceeds from sales of the title track, which features Lee along with Guy Sebastian, Sheppard, Jon Stevens, Jessica Mauboy, Shannon Noll and Megan Washington, will go to the Legacy and Soldier On charities, which assist returned service men and women.
