The impressive debut feature from Australian co-writer/director, Nick Matthews, One Eyed Girl revolves around Travis (Healing’sMark Leonard Winter), a thirtysomething psychiatrist haunted by the death of a former patient with whom he has had a complex, dangerous relationship.
Tilting toward a nervous breakdown, he spirals into the world of Father Jay (the brilliant character actor, Steve Le Marquand), the charismatic leader of a doomsday cult. It’s here that Travis meets the enigmatic Grace (52 Tuesdays’ Tilda Cobham-Hervey), a mysterious teenage girl who sends him even further toward danger, and then careening into the mouth of madness.
