Terms & Conditions

1.This competition (“Competition”) is conducted by AAI Limited (ABN 48 005 297 807) trading as AAMI (“Promoter”) of Level 28, 266 George Street, Brisbane, Queensland 4000. Please address all postal correspondence in relation to this Competition marked attention to AAMI Marketing Team, PO Box 14180, Melbourne City Mail Centre, Victoria 8001, telephone: 13 22 44. 

2. All entry instructions and prize information published by the Promoter forms part of these conditions. By entering into this Competition, entrants accept these conditions.

3.The Competition is only open to individuals who: (i) are Australian residents aged 18 years or older at the time of entry; (ii) are not directors, management or employees of the Promoter or any of its related bodies corporates or any agency associated with the Competition; and (iii) who are able to participate in a reunion with family or friends between Friday 24 July 2015 and Saturday 16 July 2016 (“Eligible Entrant”).

4. Competition entry commences at 9:00:00am (AEST) on Monday  4 May 2015 and closes at 11:59:59pm (AEST) on Friday 17 July 2015 (Entry Period).

ENTRY

5. To enter the Competition, an Eligible Entrant must, during the Entry Period:

a. for existing AAMI customers who receive a direct mail via post or direct email about the Competition, visit luckyaami.com.au/reunion (Competition Website) and follow the directions to fully complete and submit the entry form, including their full name, postcode, valid email address, phone number and current AAMI Insurance Policy number; or

b. for Eligible Entrants that are not existing AAMI customers, or an existing customer who does not fall into condition 5a, visit luckyaami.com.au/reunion?pg=aq and follow the directions to fully complete and submit the entry form, including their full name, postcode, valid email address and phone number.

6. Entrants may only enter the Competition once in accordance with condition 5. Entrants may only enter the Competition in their own name.Any subsequent entry under condition 5 from the same person after the first valid entry under condition 5 is received will be deemed invalid.

7. To earn additional entries into the competition, Eligible Entrants must, during the Entry Period:

a. take a photo or video of themselves that captures how they would react if they were reunited with their family or friends;

b. and post the photo or video on Instagram or Twitter using the hashtag #myAAMIreunion

An Eligible Entrant will earn one (1) additional entry by submitting a photo; and five (5) additional entries by submitting a video with the hashtag #myAAMIreunion, which is acceptable to the Promoter. Each Eligible Entrant can earn up to a maximum of ten (10) additional entries under this condition 7. Eligible Entrants must create their own entry and only submit an entry in their own name. Entries that are found to have been derived from third party work will be considered invalid and, if awarded a prize, the prize must be returned to the Promoter. Each Eligible Entrant indemnifies the Promoter and its associated companies and agents for any claims, costs, expenses, penalties or damages they incur from reproducing, publishing or otherwise using any works subsequently found to have been derived in any way from any third party works. It will be at the Promoter’s discretion, to determine whether a posted and hashtagged #myAAMIreunion photo or video is valid under Condition 7.

8. In relation to each entry in accordance with condition 7, each Eligible Entrant warrants and agrees that:

a. they have created the entry themselves;

b. they are entitled to reproduce and exploit all underlying works in the entry;

c. the entry does not, and use or exploitation of the entry by the Promoter (and each of its assignees and licensees) as contemplated by these conditions will not, violate the rights (including copyright and privacy) of any third person;

d. the entry has not been previously published in any other medium or forum worldwide;

e. they will not submit material that is unlawful, obscene, defamatory, derogatory, abusive, harmful to any person or entity, or otherwise inappropriate or offensive; and

f. they have not granted rights to their entry to any other person which is inconsistent with the rights granted to the Promoter under these conditions.

9. In relation to each entry in accordance with condition 7, each Eligible Entrant acknowledges and agrees that the Promoter (and each of its assignees and licensees) has the right, in its absolute discretion, to edit, amend, copy, reproduce, use, publish, broadcast and communicate to the public, the entry in any media including television and the internet, without any further consultation, reference, payment or other compensation. Each Eligible Entrant also agrees that they will not make any claim against the Promoter (or its assignees and licensees) arising form the exercise of these rights, including claims in relation to any moral rights that they may otherwise have.

10. After an Eligible Entrant has received written notification from the Promoter confirming receipt of his or her entry form with a unique hyperlink to the Competition Website, he or she (“Referrer”) can earn additional entries into this Competition by sharing this unique hyperlink with other Eligible Entrants (who have not already entered the Competition) (“Referred Person”) provided:

a. the Referrer shares the unique hyperlink to the Competition Website referenced in the confirmation message sent by the Promoter; and

b. the Referred Person enters the Competition in accordance with these terms and conditions using the unique hyperlink to the Competition Website shared by the Referrer.

For each Referred Person who enters the Competition under this condition 10, the Eligible Entrant will earn one additional entry into the competition, up to an unlimited number of additional entries under this condition 10.

11. Entries must be received by the Promoter during the Entry Period.  Entries will be deemed received at the time that the Promoter is satisfied that all necessary requirements under conditions 5, 7 or 10 as relevant have been met and not at the time of submission by the Eligible Entrant.  The Promoter takes no responsibility for late, lost, incomplete, incorrectly submitted, illegible or misdirected entries or delays or failures in any equipment or telecommunications service used to administer this Competition.

12. Cost of entry via the internet is free, but internet connection and usage rates may apply. Eligible Entrants should obtain details of such costs from their service providers.

13. Eligible Entrants must submit their internet entry manually. The Promoter may reject internet entries if it reasonably forms the opinion that they have been entered using automated entry means or by use of a competition entry service.

14. The Promoter may, in its absolute discretion, declare an entry invalid or disqualify any entrant that tampers with the entry process or benefits from such tampering, submits an entry that is incomplete or not in accordance with these conditions, or otherwise acts in a manner that is disruptive, dishonest or calculated to jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of this Competition.

15. The Promoter reserves the right to require an entrant to verify the validity of their entry within the requested time, including but not limited to an entrant’s identity, eligibility, age and address and to disqualify any entrant who does not satisfy any entry criteria in these conditions. Errors and omissions may be accepted at the Promoter’s discretion. Proof considered suitable for verification is at the Promoter’s discretion.

DRAW AND PRIZE(S)

16. All valid entries received during the Entry Period will be entered into the prize draw.  The random prize draw will be held at 12 noon on Wednesday 22 July 2015 at Contact Management Associates (Vic) Pty Ltd, 92-94 Tope St, South Melbourne, Victoria 3205.

17. There is one prize to be won. The first valid entry randomly drawn will win the prize. The prize is a personalized reunion event (“Reunion”) created for the winner and their family or friends to be held on one day only between Friday 24 July 2015 and Saturday 16 July 2016, up to a maximum value of $30,000.00. The Reunion will be created by a personal Reunion event planner provided by Bigger than ten bears (ABN 49 082 531 253) and may include:

a. catering, food and beverage packages,

b. event styling, equipment or venue hire,

c. private transport to and from the event,

d. entertainment;   

e. domestic or international travel, accommodation, transfers for the winner (and/or their selected family or friends) to the Reunion event location, provided through Granted Worldwide (ABN 11 124 802 115).

The maximum value of the Reunion is $30,000.00. If the winner’s Reunion is under $30,000.00,  the amount not used  (up to maximum of $7,500.00) can be provided to the winner via an AAMI EFTPOS Gift Card after the Reunion event plan is confirmed with the winner.

18.Components of the Reunion, including flights and accommodation, are subject to booking and availability. All components of the prize are subject to the supplier's terms and conditions.

PRIZE WINNER(S)

19. The winner and their selected family and friends are responsible for ensuring that they have all necessary documents and permissions to travel to the relevant destination (including a current passport and any visas that may be required).

20. Where a part of the prize involves the winner and their selected family and friends etc. travelling to or attending an event, if any part of the event is abandoned, called off, varied or postponed for any reason, that part of the prize may be forfeited without compensation at the Promoter’s discretion, subject to the approval of any relevant gaming authorities, where required.

21. The Promoter encourages the winner and their companion(s) to enjoy any alcohol consumption in moderation. Adults are advised to consider the 'low risk drinking' guideline recommended in the National Health & Medical Research Council’s Australian Alcohol Guidelines which states: for healthy men and women, drinking no more than two (2) standard drinks on any day reduces your risk of harm from alcohol-related disease or injury over a lifetime. Drinking no more than four (4) standard drinks on a single occasion reduces the risk of alcohol-related injury arising from that occasion. A full version of the National Health & Medical Research Council’s Australian Alcohol Guidelines is available at: http://www.nhmrc.gov.au/_files_nhmrc/file/publications/synopses/ds10-alcohol.pdf. The winner and their companion(s) agree that the prize is subject to relevant health, safety and liquor consumption laws, including responsible service of alcohol requirements of any prize provider. The Promoter additionally encourages the winner and their companion(s) to visit the Australian Government’s information site for alcohol at www.alcohol.gov.au.

22. The total prize pool is valued at up to $30,000.00 AUD including GST inclusive of applicable taxes as at Monday 30 March 2015.

23. A prize value is the recommended retail value as provided by the relevant supplier(s). The Promoter takes no responsibility for any variation in a prize’s value due to exchange rate changes, time of travel or otherwise.

24. Any additional costs not expressly stated, but which may be incurred in acceptance and use of a prize, are the responsibility of the winner. This includes but is not limited to travel costs to and from the points of departure, taxes, additional spending money and any other ancillary costs.

25. No compensation will be payable if a winner is unable to take any element of a prize as stated, or does not satisfy any conditions of use for any element of the prize (including conditions imposed by event organisers or staff, or other prize providers, such as health, behavior, age and safety requirements), for whatever reason. Any part of a prize that is not taken for any reason is forfeited and no compensation will be provided.

26. If a prize (or part of a prize) is unavailable for any reason, the Promoter may, in its absolute discretion, substitute alternative goods or services of equal or higher value, subject to the approval of any relevant gaming authority, where required. The Promoter accepts no other liability or responsibility for any loss incurred by a winner or any other party if a prize (or part of prize) is unavailable for any reason

27. Other than as expressly stated in these conditions, a prize is non-transferable, non-refundable, non-exchangeable, non-replaceable, and non-redeemable for another prize including cash, except at the Promoter’s discretion and subject to relevant State and Territory legislation.

28. The winner(s) will be notified within 2 days of the draw by aphone call and email, using the details provided in their entry.

29. The prize notification will include instructions as to how the winner is to claim their prize

30. The prize(s) will only be awarded following any winner validation and verification that the Promoter requires in its sole discretion.

31. The name of the winner(s) and their State or Territory of residence will be published in The Australian newspaper on Monday 27 July 2015.

32. Subject, where relevant, to any directions given by a relevant gaming authority, if: (i) a prize is not claimed by a winner or the Promoter has been unable (despite reasonable efforts) to successfully contact the winner on or before Thursday 22 October 2015 or (ii) a winner is determined by the Promoter to be ineligible to win a prize in accordance with these conditions, the relevant prize will be forfeited and instead awarded to another Eligible Entrant in a redraw. Any such redraw will be made from a pool of the remaining Eligible Entrants and will take place at 12 noon on Friday 23 October 2015 at the same location as the original draw, with any unclaimed prizes awarded to the next valid entry randomly drawn in descending order of value (if applicable). The name of any resulting winner(s) and their State or Territory of residence will be published on the Competition Website on Monday 26 October 2015. Any redraw prize winner(s) will be notified within 2 days of the redraw a phone call and email using the details provided in their entry.

GENERAL

33. If for any reason this Competition is not capable of running as planned, or is interfered with or disrupted in any way (including by vandalism, power failures, natural disasters, acts of God, weather event, civil unrest, strikes, computer bugs or viruses, tampering or technical failures), the Promoter reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Competition, or invalidate any affected entries, subject to the approval of any relevant gaming authorities, where required.

34. The Promoter assumes no responsibility for: (i) any error, omission, interruption, or delay in the operation or transmission of any communication sent to (or by) the Promoter or any entrant whether caused by problems with communication networks or lines, computer systems, software or internet service providers, congestion on any carrier network or otherwise; (ii) any theft, destruction or unauthorised access to, or alteration of such communications; (iii) any problem with, or technical malfunction of, any computer system or other equipment used for the conduct of the Competition; (iv) any incorrect or incomplete information which may be communicated in the course of the administering this Competition (whether as a result of one of the foregoing causes or otherwise); or (v) any delay in delivery (when not directly caused by the Promoter or its supplier), or failure of safe delivery of a prize.

35. All of the Promoter's decisions in relation to all aspects of this Competition are final and no correspondence will be entered into. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.

36. A winner accepts a prize at their own risk. Any tax liability arising as a result of accepting a prize is the responsibility of the winner. Independent financial advice should be sought.

37. To the full extent permitted by law, the Promoter, its associated companies and agencies and any of their personnel (the "Relevant Parties") exclude all liability for any loss (including any damage, claim, injury, cost or expense) which is suffered or incurred by any Eligible Entrant in connection with the Competition or a prize, including without limitation: (i) any indirect, special, economic or consequential loss; (ii) any loss arising from the negligence of a Relevant Party; and (iii) any liability for personal injury or death.  To the extent that such liability cannot be excluded by law, it is limited to the minimum allowable by law.

38. The winner(s) must, at the Promoter’s request, participate in all promotional activity (such as publicity and photography) surrounding winning a prize, free of charge, and consent to the Promoter using their name, likeness, image and/or voice (including any photograph, film and/or recording of them) in promotional material in any media at any time without notification or compensation, financial or otherwise

PRIVACY STATEMENT AND MARKETING CONSENT

39. Entrants’ personal information is collected from entrants by or on behalf of the Promoter to enable the Promoter and its agents to manage, administer and promote the Competition and, where applicable, publicise the winner(s).  The personal information may also be provided to persons assisting the Promoter, including prize suppliers and deliverers, marketing agencies and IT providers, and to gaming authorities, media outlets and related companies.  The Promoter will disclose entrants’ personal information and/or collect personal information about entrants from persons overseas to engage in its business functions and activities and for the purposes detailed in this statement.  The country the Promoter will disclose entrants’ personal information to will be depend on the country or countries the winner travels to as part of the Reunion event. The Promoter will disclose a winner's first initial, surname and State/Territory of residence to The Australian newspaper for publication. By participating in the Competition, Eligible Entrants consent to these uses and disclosures of their personal information.

40. If an Eligible Entrant does not provide the personal information the Promoter requests, the Promoter may not be able to enter them into the Competition. All personal information is handled in accordance with these conditions and the Promoter’s Privacy Policy. Information about how to access or correct the personal information that the Promoter holds about you, or complain, can be found in the Promoter’s Privacy Policy available online at www.aami.com.au/privacy

41. If an entrant has marked the “opt-in” box on the entry form, the entrant also consents to the retention of their personal information so that the Promoter and any related companies that use the AAMI brand (“we”/”us”) may use this information from time to time to let the entrant know about news, offers, products and services they might be interested in (by any medium, including telephone, email, mail, SMS or online marketing). In order to carry out direct marketing, entrants’ personal information will be collected from and disclosed to others that provide us with specialised data matching, trending or analytical services, as well as general marketing services.  We, and other people who provide us with services, may combine the personal information collected from entrants or others, with the information we, or other companies in the Suncorp Group, or our service providers already hold about entrants.  We may also use online targeted marketing, data and audience matching and market segmentation to improve advertising relevance. Entrants may unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time using information contained in a marketing message or by making a request during a telephone call.

42. Notwithstanding anything in condition 42 if on the entry form an entrant requests future contact from the Promoter and/or its related company AAMI about one or more AAMI products and services, or provides information about their product or service needs or interests, the entrant understands and agrees that the Promoter will retain their personal information and disclose their personal information to Suncorp Life and Superannuation Limited ABN 87 073 979 530 so that Suncorp Life and Superannuation Limited ABN 87 073 979 530 and the Promoter can use this information to contact the entrant at a later date by any means (including telephone, email, mail, SMS or online marketing) about such products and services.
