Mr Hong by Dan Hong (Murdoch Books)
Italia by Antonio Carluccio
Produce to Platter – Geelong and Surrounding Regions

Did someone say Christmas in July? We've found some great books hiding at the back of the prize shelf so giving you the chance to pick your prize! Will it be Mr Hong or the surrounds of Geelong? Or would you like to add a Greedy Italian to your kitchen? Perhaps sharing the Turkish way style is more your style.

Enter now and pick which of the four book prizes you'd like to win!

You have four quite different books to choose from, one with a wine and food travel bent and the others with wonderful personalities and recipes aplenty.

Mr Hong by Dan Hong

Dan Hong has a proud heritage and a sneaker collection but most importantly for us, he has a talent and enthusiasm for experimenting with big, bold flavours. His influences are Vietnamese, Mexican and Chinese, a combination he works magically well.

In her review of this, his first cookbook, Laura said with the turning of each page it felt like you were climbing into the brilliant and sometimes outrageous mind of one Mr Hong.

Dan Hong is the chef behind renowned restaurants Mr Wong, El Loco and Ms G's and the book's recipes are largely sorted by each of these styles. But be warned, this is a diverse bunch of dishes with a couple that perhaps should carry warnings about sharing with your doctor!

Get a taste of those weird and wonderful recipes and read more of what's inside Mr Hong  »

Produce to Platter - Geelong and Surrounding Regions by Jonette George and Daniele Wilton

This superb book is a treasure trove of the gourmet delights and distinctive wines of this region.

As with all books in the Produce to Platter series, the food, the wine and the people become more than just names through the telling of their stories and pages of evocative images.

Plus there are the delicious recipes from the restaurants that cherish the seasonal produce surrounding them - all with easy to follow instructions and delectable photographs.

Win this book and you may well find yourself planning a gourmet tour of Geelong and surrounds!

Italia - the recipes and customs of the regions by Antonio Carluccio

Antonio Carluccio is one legendary Italian, and so is this book. For anyone interested in this country's cooking, Italia has the lot in terms of gastronomic insight.

Known to TV audiences as one of the Two Greedy Italians, Antonio Carluccio takes us on a journey through all the regions of his beloved country, introducing us to the people, the customs and of course, the food in all its Italian glory.

The cultural differences of each region are showcased with authentic recipes, a background on how they evolved and the varying influences on them through history.

We think this book is highly likely to gather dog-ears and stains from pasta dough and various Italian sauces in no time! Read more in our review of Italia  »

Turkish Meze by Sevtap Yuce

Sharing good food with good friends is the essence of this book which explores the joy of homestyle sharing plates, Turkish style.

There are great recipes for dips, small dishes, dolmas, salads, koftes, vegetables, meats and more all with easy to follow instructions and some inspiring photography to get the mouth-watering.

Sevtap Yuce has been serving up meze in her cafes for years and derives great pleasure in the smiles of her customers and their wiped-clean plates! With this book in hand, you're sure to share her pleasure.
