Winter can be a terrible time for hair, with wet and blustery weather wreaking havoc and creating tired and limp looking hair.
Perth hair stylist David Wernik, from Dharma Salon in Bedford, said there were ways to ensure your locks didn't suffer in the cooler weather.

"That can be hard when it's cold outside, so pour a hot glass of water instead and add a slice of lemon or a sprig of fresh mint."
For truly healthy hair, Mr Wernik said it was important to think beyond hydration.
"Eating well is also important to keep your hair looking shiny and healthy, so munch on seeds and eat lots of oily fish such as mackerel," he said.
As for going outside with wet hair - the expert stylist said that was a big mistake.
"When it is really cold and you have wet hair your hair can freeze and become brittle and snap off, so make sure you dry your hair well before going outside," Mr Wernik said.
"Use a good oil treatment on damp hair before you blow dry it and that will keep it well fed and looking good.
"Blow drying and using hair straighteners at any time dries your hair out, but in winter with heaters on in the house, your hair needs extra love, so make sure you get into the habit of a good hair care regime.
"And regular trims are still important to keep your hair in tip top condition."
