Terms and Conditions: Sunshine Coast Daily – Countdown to Christmas
By entering this competition, Contestants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. Contestants must be aged 18 years and over to be eligible to enter this competition. Contestants must be Australian residents to be eligible to enter.
Contestant’s personal information will be shared with Springfree for the purposes of marketing. By ticking the box provided on the entry form ‘yes’, contestants confirm they have provided their express consent for their personal information to be shared with Springfree.
If the contestant ticks the box ‘no’, Sunshine Coast Daily will not share your personal information with Springfree.
The Promoter is Sunshine Coast Newspaper Company, Newspaper Place, Maroochydore, Queensland 4558. ABN 56 009 795 859.
1. Method of entry: To enter, Contestants must collect from the Sunshine Coast Daily one (1) entry form published daily for the four (4) weeks of the competition as follows:
Week 1 – between Saturday November 21, 2015 and Friday November 27, 2015.
Week 2 – between Saturday November 28, 2015 and Friday December 4, 2015.
Week 3 – between Saturday December 5, 2015 and Friday December 11, 2015.
Week 4 – between Saturday December 12, 2015 and Friday December 18, 2015.
Contestants may submit as many entries as they like in each week’s competition, however, there is only one (1) prize to win for each eligible contestant over the total four (4) week promotion.
The entry form must be original newsprint.
Photocopies, scanned images, web prints, reproductions or other falsified artwork will not be accepted.
The entry form must be completed in full and placed in an envelope marked Sunshine Coast Daily – Countdown to Christmas with the relevant week number; e.g. week 1; then:
Send to: Locked Bag 1113, Maroochydore, Qld 4558; or
Deliver to: Sunshine Coast Daily Office, Newspaper Place Maroochydore Qld, 4558.
Contestants who have won a prize in the previous week’s Countdown to Christmas Weekly draws will not be eligible to win a prize in subsequent week’s major draws.
Contestants from the same household who have won a prize in the previous week’s competition, will not be eligible to win a prize in subsequent week’s major draw.
One (1) original entry form per standard envelope.
2. Prizes: The prizes for the four (4) weeks of competition are:
Week 1 - One Weber® Family Q™Q3200, retail value of $799.00 (inclusive of GST).
Week 2 - One Compact Round Springfree Trampoline including delivery, retail value of $1,419.00 (inclusive of GST).
Week 3 – One set of Family pushbikes, including –
1 Schwinn S1;
1 Schwinn Typhoon;
1 Specialised 20”;
1 Specialised Hotrock 12”, retail value of $1,646.00 (inclusive of GST).
Week 4 – One 2 + 1 Family Kayak, including 2 Ergo Seats and 2 Eco Paddles and 1 Kayak Trolley, retail value of $1,299.00 (inclusive of GST).
The total maximum retail value of the prizes in this competition is $5,163.00 (inclusive of GST).
The Promoter takes no responsibility for any variation in item values. Any taxes which may be payable as a consequence of a winner receiving the prize are the sole responsibility of that winner. Prizes are non-transferable and may not be redeemed for cash. If the specified prizes becomes unavailable due to unforeseen circumstances, the Promoter may substitute a prize of similar nature and/or like or greater value.
3. Competition duration: The competitions commence each week as follows:
Week 1 - commences at 05:00am (AEST) on Saturday November 21, 2015 and closes at 12:00pm (AEST) on Wednesday December 2, 2015.
Week 2 - commences at 05:00am (AEST) on Saturday November 28, 2015 and closes at 12:00pm (AEST) on Wednesday December 9, 2015.
Week 3 – commences at 05:00am (AEST) on Saturday December 5, 2015 and closes at 12:00pm (AEST) ON Wednesday December 16, 2015.
Week 4 – commences at 05:00am (AEST) on Saturday December 12, 2015 and closes at 12:00pm (AEST) on Wednesday December 23, 2015.Entries that are received after the closing date/time will be deemed as invalid and will not be entered into the competition.
4. Eligibility limitations: The following persons are ineligible to enter:
(i) Employees of, or contractors to, the Promoter as far as they are directly associated with this competition;
(ii) The spouse, de facto spouse, parent, natural or adopted child, and sibling (whether natural or adopted by a parent), of such employees and contractors (whether or not they live in the same household);
iii) Contestants who have used or attempted to use any more than one name in order to qualify to win any contest run by the Promoter except in the case of a legal change of name.
All Contestants acknowledge that even if the Promoter only learns of a person’s ineligibility after the Promoter has appeared to award the prize to the ineligible person, it may require the return of the prize or payment of its value to the Promoter to be dealt with as an unclaimed prize.
5. Draw and notification: The prize winner will be selected via a random draw at the Sunshine Coast Daily office, Newspaper Place Maroochydore Qld, 4558 each week at 2:00pm (AEST) on the following dates:
Week 1 – Wednesday December 2, 2015.
Week 2 – Wednesday December 9, 2015.
Week 3 – Wednesday December 16, 2015.
Week 4 – Wednesday December 23, 2015.
Prizes will be awarded following winner validation and verification. Judges decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. All winners will be notified by telephone.
All winners’ details for the overall competition will be published in the Sunshine Coast Daily Public Notices on Thursday December 24, 2015. All Contestants acknowledge that the Promoter has the right to publicise and publish his/her name, character and likeness. All contest winners must avail themselves for a photo if required by the Promoter and acknowledge that the Promoter has the right to utilise publicity photos in any reasonable manner it sees fit without compensation to the Contestant.
6. Prize collection: Prizes must be claimed in person at the Sunshine Coast Daily office unless winner is otherwise advised and Government issued Photo ID is required. Prizes are not transferrable and cannot be redeemed as cash. Any winner must complete a Release Form to confirm the rightful collection of their prize. It is the sole responsibility of the winner to claim their prize. Any prizes (unless specified otherwise) that remain uncollected after 90 days from the initial draw, will go back into an uncollected prize random draw at Sunshine Coast Daily office, Newspaper Place Maroochydore Qld, 4558 at 2:00pm (AEST) Wednesday March 2, 2016 and winners will be notified by telephone.
7. Promoter's limitation of liability: The Promoter is not responsible for the loss of prizes due to incorrect or imprecise delivery details provided by a winner. The Promoter also takes no responsibility for prizes lost or stolen after they have been released for delivery via postage or courier. The Promoter makes no representations or warranties as to the quality/suitability/merchantability of any of the goods/services offered as prizes. To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not liable for any loss suffered or sustained by any person and including, but not limited to consequential (including economic) loss by reason of any act or omission, deliberate or negligent, by the Promoter, or its servants or agents, in connection with the arrangement for supply, or the supply, of any goods or services by any person to the prize winner(s) and, where applicable, to any persons accompanying the winners.
8. Entries and privacy: All entries become and remain the property of the Promoter and its related parties, subject to the limits contained in the Privacy Statement and as set out in these terms and conditions. The Promoter and its related parties, also collect personal information in order to conduct the Promotion and may use and disclose such information in accordance with its privacy policy

To facilitate your participation, the Promoter may disclose your personal information to other companies associated with this promotion. Entrants who have ticked the consent box ‘yes’ on the entry form provided for this promotion, have provided their express consent to have their personal information shared with Springfree. Entrants who later decide to opt out of sharing their personal information must contact the Sunshine Coast Newspaper Co. Pty Ltd, Newspaper Place, Maroochydore Queensland 4558 to have their consent withdrawn.
