Terms and Conditions of Entry
1. Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these Terms and Conditions of Entry.
2. The Promoter: The Promoter is ALH Group, Level 2 10 Yarra Street, South Yarra 3141, ABN 68 098 212 134 owner / operator of the following venues (Participating Venues):

3. Duration of Promotion: The Promotion commences at 9am on 16/11/15 and ends at 11.59pm on 27/12/15 (“the Promotional Period”).
4. Eligibility for Entry: Entry may only be made in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. The Promotion is open to Australian residents aged 18 years and over unless, they are an employee, or have been employed in the last six (6) months by the Promoter or Participating Venue, including immediate families such as spouse, parents sibling or child of any current or past employee. (“Eligible Entrants”).
5. Playing a gaming machine or participating in a loyalty scheme that requires either expenditure on gaming machines or agreement to receive gaming machine advertising, does not enable you to enter or participate in this promotion.
6. Entry Mechanism: Entry is by way of Entry Form („Entry Form‟) which may be obtained by making a purchase of $20 or more at a Participating Venue during the Promotional Period. Eligible purchases exclude those made at the bottle-shop, Keno and/or TAB. Tickets may also be distributed to venue patrons at the discretion of Participating Venue staff, without requiring a qualifying purchase.
7. A promotionally themed postcard (“Postcard”) will be mailed to Participating Venue members which can be placed in the specially marked barrel without requiring a qualifying purchase.
8. To enter the Prize Draw, entrants must fully and legibly complete their email address on their Entry Form and place it in
the specially marked entry box located in the Participating Venue.
9. It is the responsibility of the customer to obtain an Entry Form if, or when, they become entitled to do so. The customer
may be requested to provide evidence of their purchase. If the customer is unable to do so, they may not be entitled to
claim an Entry Form. A maximum of one (1) Entry Form may be collected per purchase.
10. Finalist Draw: The Finalist Draw will take place at each Participating Venue at 10am on 28/12/15. The first (1st) three
(3) randomly drawn eligible entrants (“Finalists”) gain entry into the Major Prize Draw.
11. Major Prize Draw: The Major Prize Draw will take place at the Village Green Hotel, Corner Springvale and Ferntree
Gully Roads, Mulgrave 3170, at 7:30pm on 14/01/16. Each Finalist will be drawn at random and invited to “spin the
reels” on the Colossus game (“Colossus”) to identify three (3) Prize Winners.
12. Major Prize: The Prize Winners will each win their choice of a new Jeep Compass Sport (“Car”), a cruise voucher
worth $20,000 (“Cruise”) or a cheque for $25,000.
13. Total Prize Pool: Total maximum value of the Prize Pool is $97,418.70.
14. The Car includes 12 months registration, stamp duty and dealer delivery and is valued at up to $32,472.90 drive away,
dependent on the Prize Winner‟s state or territory of residence. If the Prize Winner chooses the Car, the Prize Winner
is responsible for collecting the Car from the dealer nominated by the Promoter.
15. For the avoidance of doubt, the Car does not include car insurance, choice of colour, petrol or any other costs including
optional extras and accessories not stated.
16. The Prize Winner must hold a valid Australian driver‟s licence in order to use/operate the Car.
17. The Prize Value of the Car is in Australia dollars inclusive of GST and is based on the recommended retail value of the
Car at the time of printing. The Promoter accepts not responsibility for any variation in the value of the Car.
18. Car and Cruise not exchangeable or redeemable for cash.
19. Notification to winner: The Prize Winner will be announced using the Village Green Hotel‟s public-address system,
notified in writing within seven (7) days of the Final Prize Draw and published in The Herald Sun newspaper on
29/12/15.
20. Substitution of prize: The Promoter reserves the right to cancel or change the prizes offered under the Promotion,
due to circumstances beyond the Promoter‟s reasonable control, or if there are any changes to the law that would or
might render the Promotion or any prizes offered under the Promotion unlawful. The Promoter reserves the right to
substitute the prize (or any part of it) for a similar prize (or part of the prize) of equal or greater value should the stated
prize not be available at the time of prize distribution.
21. Unclaimed Prize Draw: If the prize winner cannot be contacted by in writing by 21/03/16 then they will be deemed to
have forfeited their entitlement to the prize. In these circumstances, a redraw will be held on 22/03/16 at 11am at the
office of the Promoter. The winner of the redraw will be notified in writing no later than 29/03/16 and published in the
Herald Sun on 12/04/16.
22. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the Prize for a similar product of equal or greater value should the Prize
be unavailable for any reason at the time of the draw or prize distribution.
23. Valid Entries: Postcards are void if stolen, forged, mutilated, photocopied or tampered with in any way. Only original
Postcards will be accepted. Any entry not complying with these Terms and Conditions will be deemed invalid and a
further entry or entries will be drawn until a valid entry is drawn. In the event of a dispute concerning the conduct of the
Promotion, the decision of the Promoter is final. Any printing error(s) and other quality control matters will not be used
as a reason for refusing payment of prizes.
24. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and to disqualify any entry which, in the opinion of
Promoter, includes objectionable content, profanity, potentially insulting, inflammatory or defamatory statements,
disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process, who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these
Terms & Conditions of Entry or who has, in the opinion of Promoter, engaged in conduct in entering the competition
which is fraudulent, misleading, deceptive or generally damaging to the goodwill or reputation of the competition and/or Promoter. This includes, but not limited, to entrants and households using multiple, email addresses, street addresses or PO Box addresses to register single or multiple entries. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify a winner if Promoter becomes aware that the winner and/or the winner‟s entry is of a type described in this clause.
25. The Promoter reserves the right to request winners to provide proof of identity, proof of residency at the nominated prize delivery address in order to claim a prize. Proof of identification, residency and entry considered suitable for verification is at the discretion of the Promoter. In the event that a winner cannot provide suitable proof, the winner will forfeit the prize in whole and no substitute will be offered.
26. Privacy: By submitting their personal information on the Entry Ticket, Eligible Entrants agree that the Promoter may collect, use and disclose that information in accordance with the Privacy Policy at alhgroup.com.au/privacy.html. It is each Eligible Entrants responsibility to read the Privacy Policy.
27. To contact the Promoter in relation to privacy issues please contact The Privacy Officer at ALH Group, Level 2, 10 Yarra Street, South Yarra, Victoria 3141.
28. The Promoter may use Personal Information collected about each Eligible Entrant for the purpose of: (1) determining and contacting the Prize Winner, (2) marketing the products or services of the Promoter, its Related Bodies Corporate or any existing or prospective Participating Venue and to (3) disclosing that information to any third party service provider who it engages to assist in meeting its commitments or in marketing its products or services,
29. If persons do not provide all or some of the Personal Information that is requested, the Promoter may refuse entry.
30. The Promoter does not disclose Personal Information to overseas recipients.
31. Eligible Entrants expressly consent to the receipt of marketing and promotional material from the Promoter, its Related Bodies Corporate or any existing or prospective Participating Venue by post, SMS, MMS, email or any other electronic form. Eligible Entrants may opt-out of receiving such material by following the process advised to them in that material. The Promoter and its Participating Venues comply with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth) in relation to the sending and their receipt of electronic commercial messages.
32. Release: The Promoter and the prize providers (including, if the Car is chosen as the prize, FCA Australia Pty Ltd, or the relevant dealer) shall not be liable for any loss, damage or personal injury whatsoever suffered or sustained, including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss, as a result of taking a prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
33. It is recommended that the Prize Winner takes out international travel insurance and consults the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade website
www.smarttraveller.gov.au for travel advice and to ensure that they possess all necessary documentation well in advance of travel.
34. In the case of the intervention of any outside act, agent or event which prevents or significantly hinders the Promoter‟s ability to proceed with the competition on the dates and in the manner described in these terms and conditions, including but not limited to vandalism, power failures, tempests, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, strike, war, act of terrorism, the Promoter may in its absolute discretion cancel the competition and recommence it from the start on the same conditions, subject to any written directions given under State Regulation.
35. The Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who the Promoter has reason to believe has breached any of these conditions, or engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the competition. The Promoter‟s legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved.
