COMPETITION TERMS AND CONDITIONS.
1. Information on how to enter and prizes forms part of the conditions of entry.
2. Participation in this competition confirms your acceptance of all terms and conditions of entry.
WHO CAN ENTER
3. Entry is only open to residents of South Australia, aged 18 or over, who purchase fresh produce from
any South Australian Independent Retailer that is a member of the Pick a Local, Pick SA campaign,
including participating Drakes Foodlands, Chapley Group Foodlands, Commercial Retail Group
Foodlands, Adelaide’s Finest Supermarkets, Romeo Foodlands, IGA Stores and greengrocers
HOW TO ENTER
4. To enter, purchase any fresh fruit and vegetable item and enter details on the Pick a Local, Pick SA
Facebook page. Details must include full name, permanent address, email address, phone number
and the store where fresh produce was purchased from. Other details will include any identifying
receipt number etc. Original receipts must be kept as proof of purchase.
5. The entrant must retain their original receipt of purchase
6. For the entry to be valid, the receipt must also include the name of the entrant, permanent address,
phone number, product purchased, proof of purchase and the store where the product was
purchased. Validation and identification must be shown if requested.
7. For the entry to be valid, the receipt must not have been tampered with in any way. The receipt
must not have been made illegible, re-issued, mutilated, altered, stamped paid, marked void, stolen,
misprinted, counterfeit, re-constituted, or defective as this will render it ineligible for a prize.
8. Multiple entries will be accepted, but each transaction requires a separate entry and proof of
purchase. One entry will be allowed per eligible transaction containing the original receipt of
purchase.
9. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and to disqualify any entrant who
tampers with the entry process or who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these
Conditions of Entry.
CRITICAL DATES
10. The promotion commences on Friday 4 September 2015. Entries close at 11pm AEST Saturday 31
January 2016.
11. The draw will takes place at 12 noon, Tuesday 3 February 2016 at the Market Fresh SA office,
Adelaide Produce Market, Burma Road, Pooraka, South Australia 5095. A scrutineer will be present
at the draw.
12. Winner will be notified via phone and email and name will be published in the Adelaide Advertiser
Classifieds section on Thursday 5 February 2016.
13. In the incidence of the winner not being contactable and all attempts have been made to contact
subject to the rules and regulations of State Government Authorities, a further draw will take place
at the same location and time as indicated in #10 on Monday 16 February 2016.
14. In such an incidence the winner will be notified by phone and email and their names published in
The Adelaide Advertiser classifieds section on Thursday 19 February 2016.
15. Upon a winner being chosen, identified and contacted, the winner will attend the Market Fresh SA
office, located at Adelaide Produce Market, Burma Road, Pooraka SA 5095 on Friday 27 February
2016 at 12noon. The winner will select one of 500 (1/500) punnets of strawberries. As previously
determined, one punnet will be identified as the winning punnet with a marking on the bottom of
the punnet. Should the winner chose the winning punnet, a cash prize of $1 Million Australian
dollars will be payable within 3 months. Should the winner chose a non-winning punnet of
strawberries, a prize of free fruit and vegetables for a year will be awarded to the value of $5,200.
Any fresh produce purchased from the store whereby the original produce was purchased from (as
indicated in their entry form) for the 12 months thereafter will be free, to the value of $5,200. The
store must be the same store where the original purchase was purchased as per the receipt. (proof
of purchase). This will come in the form an account with the store as will be valid for 12 months from
Friday 27 February 2016.
16. The winner may chose a proxy or a “stand in” if the winner is unable to attend on Friday 27 February
2016.
THE PRIZE DETAILS
17. One winner may receive $1 Million in Australian dollars. Should this winner not be successful, free
fruit and vegetables to the value of $5,200 will be payable.
18. Cash prize will be in the form of Direct Debit into the winner’s personal bank account.
19. One winner in total.
20. The total prize pool value is $1,005,200.00
21. The consolidation prize (free fruit and vegetables for a year) is not transferable and is not
redeemable for cash.
22. The winner must satisfy all conditions of identification or the prize will be forfeited or held in escrow
until full identification is received and accepted by The Promoter as acceptable within the possible
restrictions of State Authority rules regarding the conduct of such competitions.
NO LIABILITY
23. The judge’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
24. Employees and families of the Promoter (Market Fresh SA), employees and friends of any businesses
connected with the Adelaide Produce Market, Pick a Local, Pick SA member retailers or the prize
suppliers or any of their agencies associated with the Competition or Program are not eligible to
enter. This includes a spouse, de-facto spouse, parent, child or sibling (whether full, half, step or by
adoption)
25. If for any reason any aspect of the promotion is not capable of running as planned, including by
reason of tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any cause beyond the
control of the promoter which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or
proper conduct of the promotion, the promoter may in its sole discretion cancel, terminate, modify
or suspend the promotion, or invalidate any affected entries, subject to the approval of the relevant
authorities in each state or territory where required
26. The promoter and its associated agencies and companies will not be liable for any loss (including,
without limitation, indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense, damage,
personal injury or death which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person's
negligence) in connection with this promotion or accepting or using any prize, except for any liability
which cannot be excluded by law.
27. By entering the promotion, unless otherwise advised by the entrant, each entrant consents to the
information they submit with their entry being stored by the Promoter for the duration of the
promotional period. All personal details of the entrants will be stored at the office of the Promoter.
The Promoter is bound to comply with the Privacy Act 1988 and a request to access, update or
correct any information should be directed to Promoter’s office.
28. Entrants consent to the Promoter using the entrant’s name, likeness, image and/or voice in the
event that they are a winner (inc. photograph, film, and/or recording of the same) in any media for
an unlimited time without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this competition.
29. All entries become the property of the promoter, and will only be used for the purposes of this
competition. Entries will not be returned to the entrants. Judges decision in relation to any aspect of
the competition is final and binding. No correspondence will be entered into.
