GENERAL

Information on how to enter, mechanics of entry and prizes form part of these Terms and Conditions. By entering this competition, Contestants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
Entry into the promotion is open to Australian residents aged 18 and older (contestants).
Contestants entering the Second Chance Draw can only enter in their own name. Contestants who provide incorrect, misleading or fraudulent information are ineligible to participate in the promotion and all entries of a contestant who is deemed by the Promoter to have provided incorrect, misleading or fraudulent information may, at the discretion of the Promoter, be deemed invalid.
The Promoter reserves the right to request the contestant produce (within a requested time) appropriate photo identification or other documentation (to the Promoter’s satisfaction, at its sole discretion) in order to confirm the contestant’s identity, age, residential address, eligibility to enter and claim a prize.
PROMOTION PERIOD
Promotion period commences Saturday January 30, 2016 at 12:00am (AEST) and ends at 11:00pm Friday February 19, 2016 (promotional period). Entries received after the closing date/time will be deemed as invalid.
ENTRY
Contestants must collect the token printed in their local newspaper each day, take these along to a participating newsagent to exchange for scratch-it game cards.
The more game cards contestants collect the more chance they have of winning.
Game 1:
Six (6) numbers will be printed each day in Contestants’ local daily newspaper. Scratch and match all six numbers on the game panel of the card to the numbers printed in that days copy of the paper to win. Contestants must present their winning game card at their local daily newspaper office or newsagent to redeem their particular prize.

Total maximum retail value of prizes for in-store newsagent credits and single copy newspapers is $48,420.00 (inclusive of GST).
Total maximum retail value of Fuel/Grocery Gift Cards is $47,800.00 (inclusive of GST).
Total maximum retail value of all prizes is $96,220.00 (inclusive of GST).
Instant win cards:
If a card reveals a prize, the contestant must take their card to their participating newsagent or local daily newspaper (please refer to table above for redemption point), tear away the winning ticket from the game card to redeem their prize.

Scratchits are subject to availability at each newsagent and are based on reasonably anticipated demand.
Scratchit cards may not be available at all times during the Promotion Period.
The Promoter accepts no responsibility for Scratchit cards being unavailable at any participating newsagent during the Promotion Period.
A maximum of 499,950 scratchit cards will be distributed across the participating newsagents within the daily local newspaper distribution areas.
On average 5% of all game cards distributed across the APN footprint will yield a winning prize and 95% will yield a second chance draw option.
The Promoter does not guarantee, for every card a reader receives, that there will be an instant win prize
Instant win prizes not claimed as directed will be forfeited. No compensation will be payable of a reader is unable to claim an instant scratchit prize as stated for whatever reason. The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
Readers may obtain their tokens from their local newspaper and enter within their local newspaper distribution area.

22. The total maximum retail value of all prizes is $97,220.00 (inclusive of GST).
23. All prizes are valued inclusive of GST and the Promoter takes no responsibility for any variation in item values.
24. Any taxes which may be payable as a consequence of a winner receiving the prize are the sole responsibility of that winner.
25. Prizes are non-transferable and may not be redeemed for cash.
26. If the specified prize becomes unavailable due to unforeseen circumstances, the Promoter may substitute a prize of similar nature and/or like or greater value.
ELIGIBILITY LIMITATIONS: The following persons are ineligible to enter:
27. (i) Employees of, or contractors to, the Promoter as far as they are directly associated with this competition;
(ii) The spouse, de facto spouse, parent, natural or adopted child, and sibling (whether natural or adopted by a parent), of such employees and contractors (whether or not they live in the same household);
iii) Contestants who have used or attempted to use any more than one name in order to qualify to win any contest run by the Promoter except in the case of a legal change of name.
28. All Contestants acknowledge that even if the Promoter only learns of a person’s ineligibility after the Promoter has appeared to award the prize to the ineligible person, it may require the return of the prize or payment of its value to the Promoter to be dealt with as an unclaimed prize.
29. Draw and notification: The prize winner of the Second Chance Draw will be selected by random electronic draw at 11:00am (AEST) on February 24, 2016 at Yandina Print Site, 54 Pioneer Road Yandina, QLD 4561 and the prize awarded following winner verification and validation of entry.
30. The Winner will be contacted by telephone and provided with details on their local publications office to 31. Judges decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. All Contestants acknowledge that the Promoter has the right to publicise and publish his/her name, character and likeness.
32. All contest winners must avail themselves for a photo if required by the Promoter and acknowledge that the Promoter has the right to utilise publicity photos in any reasonable manner it sees fit without compensation to the Contestant.
33. Prize collection: Prize must be claimed in person from the winner’s local newspaper office (Please refer to section 17) unless winner is otherwise advised and Government issued photo ID is required.
34. The winner of the Second Chance Draw must complete a release form to confirm collection of their prize.
35. All prizes when specified must be picked up within 90 days of notification. It is the sole responsibility of the winner to claim their prize.
36. Instant win prizes not collected within 90 days from the draw (no later than 21 May 2016 at 5:00pm) will be deemed as forfeited.
37. Instant win tickets will be retained by the newsagent/newspaper once prize is collected and will not be returned to the winner.
38. All prizes that remain unclaimed 90 days after notification has been sent to the winner will be forfeited. Winner will be notified by telephone and email.

40. The Promoter is not responsible for the loss of prizes due to incorrect or imprecise delivery details provided by a winner. The Promoter also takes no responsibility for prizes lost. The Promoter makes no representations or warranties as to the quality/suitability/merchantability of any of the goods/services offered as prizes.
41. To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not liable for any loss suffered or sustained by any person and including, but not limited to consequential (including economic) loss by reason of any act or omission, deliberate or negligent, by the Promoter, or its servants or agents, in connection with the arrangement for supply, or the supply, of any goods or services by any person to the prize winner(s) and, where applicable, to any persons accompanying the winners.

If for any reason this promotion is not capable of running as planned for any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter including because of war, terrorism, state of emergency or disaster (including natural disaster), infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, technical failures or any which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this promotion, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion and/or if necessary to provide an alternative prize or prizes to the same value as an original prize or prizes, subject to any written directions made under applicable State or Territory legislation.
43. Entries and privacy: All entries become and remain the property of the Promoter and its related parties, subject to the limits contained in the Privacy Statement and as set out in these terms and conditions.
44. The Promoter and its related parties, also collect personal information in order to conduct the Promotion and may use and disclose such information in accordance with its privacy policy
