Registrations will take place between midday Thursday, 8th October 2015 (AEDST) and 5pm Thursday, 6th October 2016.
Contesting will take place between midday Thursday, 8th October 2015 and 5pm Friday, 7th October 2016.
The promoter reserves the right to amend and extend the contesting period at its absolute discretion. Number of contesting days will be at the Promoter’s discretion.
7: How to enter
During the registration period, the promoter will invite parents whose children want to take part in the Promotion to register their details on a dedicated promotional page on the KIIS1065 website. To register, entrants must include the following details without limitation –
- Parent’s Full Name
- Parent’s Date of Birth
- The Child’s Full Name
- The Child’s Age
- Contact Number
- Address
- Parents to tell us –
o About your child
o Why would your child be great for the “Kyle and
Jackie O’s Superkid Challenge”?
o Why do you think your child is a “Superkid”?
The Promoter will judge entries to short list entrants. Parents may be required to be available with their child for a phone interview with The Promoter before participating in the Promotion. The time and date of the interview will be communicated to the parent. Parents who cannot be available to participate with their child will
forfeit their entry.
After this interview process, the Promoter will select one (1) contestant (“The Superkid‟) to play the Superkid Challenge for each contesting day.
On each Contesting Day the Promoter will solicit for adults who want to play the Superkid Challenge to call 13 1065. The Promoter will ask (on-air or off-air) the listener a range of questions (e.g. what is your job, do you have a university degree) before selecting a contestant in its absolute discretion (“The Adult‟).
The Promoter will ask a series of questions to The Superkid and The Adult. The first contestant to answer the question correctly, at the complete discretion of the Promoter will get a point. If a contestant answers a question incorrectly they will not lose a point, but the other contestant will have the opportunity to answer the question.
At the end of the segment, the contestant with the most points will win a prize. If both contestants have the same amount of points, the Promoter will ask “tie-breaker‟ questions until there is a winner.
The Promoter, at their absolute discretion reserve the right to introduce challenges, and/or vary up the rules, as stipulated on air.
The Promoter reserves the right to provide hints and clues to the contestants.
The winning contestant may be invited back for the next Contesting Day to play again (“Carry Over Champion”).
Depending on whether the Adult or the Superkid wins, the Promoter will either select either another Superkid or solicit for another Adult on the next Contesting Day.
8: Prize Details
There will be a maximum of one hundred (100) prizes. Each prize will consist of one (1) of the following:
One (1) x $1000 cash.

Total maximum value of all prizes available to win: AU $100,000 (inc GST)

Adults must be aged 18 years and over to register for the Promotion and their child must be aged 8 years and over to
register for the Promotion.Shortlisted contestants will be chosen based on the creativity and originality of their entry to take part in the initial interview process. The judge’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

Parents/Guardians must be present with their children at all times whilst participating in the Competition. Any child without a parent will be disqualified. Parents may at any time direct their child not to answer a question for any reason, in which case another question will be chosen and asked.
All parents/guardians must provide their express consent for their child to participate in the Competition.
Should the Contesting Segment not be able to run live, the Promoter will pre-record a contest with the contestants which will run within the contesting period.
The Promoter may at any time solicit for contestants (both kids and adults) on the phone and/or online.
Entry is not open to any person where that person or anyone from the same family or household has won a prize or prizes from the Promoter or any radio station that is a member of the Australian Radio Network.
Radio Network, valued either individually or collectively at more than $50 in the 30 days prior to the commencement of the Promotion.
Prizes awarded are subject to availability and are at the complete discretion of the Promoter.
The Promoter reserves the right to amend the contesting period at its absolute discretion; the Promoter reserves the right to terminate the competition subject to any direction from a regulatory authority.
Where a promotion involves a participation of ARN talent or a celebrity/artist/public figure it will at all times be subject to the availability of the talent/celebrity/artist/public figure. The Promoter will not be liable for the failure of the talent/celebrity/artist/public figure not being available for whatever reason, and it is at the Promoter‟s discretion to substitute the talent/celebrity/artist/public figure for an alternative.
No cash or alternative prize or opportunity will be awarded in lieu of that element.
The Promoter reserves the right to solicit for entrants on Facebook and Twitter and invite them to register for the Promotion.
