Won a $50 Woolworths card from Vividwireless and the post bought me a DP to My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2, DP Eye in the Sky, Steve McQueen DVD and my wireless speaker from Doritos arrived from the Batman V's Superman comp. Wishing everybody some fantastic wins this week...

When is a prize not really a prize? Received a WEM today to say that I had had won a $1000 Scenic Travel gift voucher in a recent South City Bulletin competition. Great....except when you read the conditions of the voucher. The voucher must be used as $500 per person (a couple travelling together). If you want to travel alone you can only redeem $500 of the voucher. Most off-putting though is the stipulation that the voucher MUST be redeemed by the 30th April 2016 and that all bookings must be confirmed with a paid deposit by that date for the voucher to be eligible. Only 3 weeks to choose a holiday, make the bookings and pay a deposit in order to use my "prize".  At the time I entered the competition I could not access the terms & conditions to the promotion. If I had seen the conditions before entering I certainly would not have bothered. A complete letdown!  |

O-oh. I also got a WEM about a $1000 Scenic travel voucher and came on the site to see what it was about because it's on my tablet as I'm at work so wasn't going to download until I got home. Not so thrilled now to see what it was really about. I guess you can't book anything LESS than $500 which is why you need to pay a deposit. Will investigate when I get home.

I wish I came here before I went to the unwanted prizes section! Same about not seeing the terms anywhere before entering, maybe someone out there was just about to book a scenic travel cruise and this will be perfect for them  |

I have also received that email! Strange that the "winning" email and now this one both came from the South City Bulletin, who ran the promotion. Yet in the latest email it states - 'If you have any question, please contact the participating travel agents directly. They are happy to sort out any issue you may have". Surely the "glitch" came from the Bulletin who were offering 10x$1000 and 20x$500 vouchers as prizes. It all seems like a promotion scam to me. |

Just got home to find my 2nd email too (which cheers me up oddly) but seems the voucher still opens up so I guess if we want to take up the offer would have to contact the travel agents themselves. Will give it some positive thought and hope for something even better tomorrow.
