For the first time in history, McDonald's is sending 100 kids from 15 countries to be part of the Opening Ceremony at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
Win a trip to Rio for you and your child by:a) Creating a video showing what friendship in sport means to your child.
b) Uploading the video via Instagram or Twitter, using #friendswin and tagging @sunriseon7.
c) Each video should be no less than approximately 15 seconds and no more than approximately two (2) minutes and include your child explaining, in English, how he/she made a positive difference by demonstrating the power of friendship in sport.

1. STANDARD TERMS
1.1 Information on how to enter forms part of the terms and conditions of entry.
2. WHO CAN ENTER?
2.1 Subject to clause 2.2, entry is open to residents of Australia, 18 years of age who a) are the legal parent or guardian to a child aged between 8 and 12 years as at 31 July 2016 and b) who are able to travel with their child between 31 July and 8 August 2016, where the Channel Seven signal is received.
2.2 Employees and their immediate families of Seven Network (Operations) Ltd, McDonald’s Australia Limited (a McDonald’s restaurant franchise owner, or a director, officer, employee, agent or independent contractor of a McDonald’s franchise restaurant; OR a director, officer, employee, agent or independent contractor of McDonald’s Australia), a director, officer, employee or agent of the Australian Olympic Committee (“AOC”); Mnet Mobile Pty Ltd, and their associated agencies and companies associated with this promotion are not eligible to enter.
3. HOW TO ENTER
3.1 The competition commences on Monday 4 April 2016 at 09:00 AEST and concludes on
Tuesday 26 April 2016 at 23:59 (AEST) (“the Competition Period”).
3.2 The Competition will be primarily promoted on the Sunrise website
www.yahoo7.com.au/maccasfriendswin, through a 30sec competition TVC running across Seven Network and also promoted within the Sunrise program. The competition will also be promoted on the McDonald’s website

3.3 In order to enter, entrants must show Sunrise what friendship in sport means to their child by:
a) Creating a video showing what friendship in sport means to your child.
b) Uploading the video via Instagram or Twitter, using #friendswin and tagging
@sunriseon7.
3.4 Each video should be no less than approximately 15 seconds and no more than
approximately two (2) minutes and include your child explaining, in English, how he/she
made a positive difference by demonstrating the power of friendship in sport.
3.5 Any cost associated with accessing the promotional websites is the entrant’s responsibility and is dependent on the Internet service provider used. The use of any automated entry software or any other mechanical or electronic means that allows an entrant to automatically enter repeatedly is prohibited and will render all entries submitted by that
entrant invalid.
3.6 Entrants in the Competition may only enter the Competition once during the competition
period.
3.7 This competition is a game of skill and chance plays no part in determining the winner.

Total maximum prize pool value for the prize is $90,360.00 Prize value is correct as at the date of printing. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for change in prize value between now and the ultimate date on which the prize is taken.
4.3 In accepting the prize the winner agrees to participate in and co-operate with all reasonable media editorial requests, including but not limited to, being interviewed and photographed, and the winners grant the Promoter a perpetual and non-exclusive licence to use such footage and photographs in all media worldwide and the winners will not be entitled to any fee for such use.
4.4 The winner agrees they will not sell or otherwise provide their story and/or photographs to any media or other organisation.
4.5 It is a condition of accepting the prize that the winner must comply with all the conditions of use of the prize and the Promoter’s requirements.
4.6 The winner and their child must be available and willing to participate all in media activities whilst in Rio and also participate in a Sunrise Live Cross and prior to travelling in either May or June 2016 (indicative dates to be confirmed by the Promoter).
4.7 The parent or guardian winner must be 18 years of age and their child companion must be aged between 8 and 12 years of age as at 31 July 2016. Kids need to be between ages of 8-12 yrs old
4.8 As this is an event based prize, the Winner and their child companion must be available to travel between 31 July and 8 August 2016. These dates are fixed and no changes are permitted.
4.9 Passport requirements and expenses are the responsibility of the winner and costs incurred are at the expense of the competition entrant. The winner and their child companion must have at least 6 months validity on their passport from their return date into Australia. Visa costs may be wholly or partially covered at the expense of the Sponsor. Passport and Visa requirements change regularly, we recommend you contact the nearest embassy or consulate of the country to ensure you have met all application criteria.
4.10 The winner and their child companion must travel from nearest Australian capital city. Any transit costs associated with reaching the nearest capital city are the responsibility of the prize winner and child companion. The winner and their child companion must travel at the same time and depart from the same capital city.
4.11 Travel insurance is not included in the cost of the prize however is highly recommended to protect against the additional costs incurred in the event of unforeseen circumstances.
4.12 The prize winner and their child companion are responsible for any necessary vaccinations and must check with their GP before travelling that their vaccinations are up to date.
4.13 In the event that an element of the prize outlined in the above is cancelled or postponed for
any reason, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute with a similar product of equal or greater value, subject to state regulations. If the winner forfeits a specified element, no cash alternative offer will be granted in lieu of the part of the prize.
4.14 Unless expressly stated in these terms and conditions all other expenses become the responsibility of the winner including but not limited to all meals, spending money, incidentals, mini-bar, laundry, tips, room service, telephone calls, transfer fees (other than specified), excess baggage, travel insurance for activities not included in the prize, meals (other than specified), government taxes, airport charges and all other ancillary and personal costs.
4.15 A credit card imprint or cash deposit will be required from the winner at check-in to the hotel, for all incidental charges.
4.16 Prizes are not redeemable for cash and are not transferrable or exchangeable.
4.17 Once the prize is accepted, the winner must deal directly with Promoter. Once signed
booking forms are received, no changes are permitted.
4.18 The winner must sign a prize acceptance and release form at the time of accepting the prize.
4.19 Independent financial advice should be sought as tax implications may arise as a result of
accepting the prize.
4.20 This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Instagram or Facebook. Entrants understand that they are providing their information to the Promoter and not to Instagram or Facebook. The information an entrant provides will only be used for the purposes outlined in these Terms and Conditions. Any questions, comments or complaints about this promotion must be directed to the Promoter and not to Instagram or Facebook. 5. HOW TO WIN
5.1 There will be five (5) prize winners. Each entrant who has entered the Competition in accordance with these terms and conditions during the Competition Period registering all details required by Tuesday 26 April 2016 at 23:59 AEST (“Qualifying Entrant”) will be entered for judging. Entries that do not comply with any of the terms and conditions, may be deemed invalid and a further judging will be conducted in its place. The judging will take place at Seven Network (Operations) Limited, 38-42 Pirrama Road, Pyrmont NSW 2009 on Wednesday 27 April 2016 from 10:00 AEST.
5.2 The winners will be the videos that are judged by the panel of judges as the most creative and original entry received.
5.3 The winners will be notified by a message to either their Facebook or Instagram account that was used to lodge their entry on the day of judging. Once details are confirmed, a letter advising the winner of their prize will also be express posted. The winner’s entry details will be published on the Sunrise website from Thursday 28 April 2016.
5.4 The Promoter’s decision is final and the Promoter will not enter into any correspondence regarding the result.
5.5 All reasonable attempts will be made to contact the winner. If the Prize remains unclaimed by the winner or unallocated or forfeited for any reason, by Thursday 26 May 2016 at 23:59 AEST, the Prize will be re-allocated to the entrant that has submitted the entry which best meets the judging criteria not including the entrant who failed to claim their prize. This Unclaimed Prize Determination will take place at Seven Network (Operations) Limited on Friday 27 May 2016 from 10:00 AEST. The Winner of the Unclaimed Prize Determination will be notified by a message to either their Facebook or Instagram account that was used to lodge their entry. Once details are confirmed, a letter advising the winner of their prize will also be express posted. The winner’s entry details will be published on the Sunrise website from Monday 30 May 2016.
5.6 Potential Grand Prize winners and the parent/legal guardian of the child who is selected to travel must agree to a background check (which may include, without limitation, a review of employment, driving, civil and criminal history) to confirm eligibility and any travel and security requirements and ensure that the use of any such person in advertising or publicity for the Contest will not bring Sponsor into public disrepute, contempt, scandal or ridicule, or reflect unfavourably on the Contest or the Released Parties as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion.
6. NO LIABILITY
6.1 In the case of the intervention of any outside act, agent or event which prevents or significantly hinders the Promoter’s ability to proceed with the Competition on the dates and in the manner described in these terms and conditions, including but not limited to vandalism, power failures, tempests, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, strike, war, act of terrorism, the Promoter may in its absolute discretion cancel the Competition and recommence it from the start on the same conditions.
6.2 Seven Network (Operations) Limited, Mnet Mobile Pty Ltd, McDonald’s Australia Limited and their associated agencies and companies will take no responsibility for prizes damaged or lost in transit, or late, lost or misdirected mail.
6.3 Seven Network (Operations) Limited, Mnet Mobile Pty Ltd, McDonald’s Australia Limited and their associated agencies and companies will not be liable for any misadventure, accident, injury, loss (including but not limited to consequential loss) or claim that may occur:
a) during the draw;
b) in the acceptance, participation or use of any element(s) of the prize;
c) as a consequence of late, lost or misdirected mail;
d) due to the broadcast of any program relating to the Competition or the publication of
any material, including any statements made by any compere, staff member, journalist,
other entrants or any other person;
e) in relation to failure of an SMS entry message to be received by the Promoter on
account of technical problems or traffic congestion; or
f) arising from or related to any problem or technical malfunction of any telephone
network or lines or mobile communications network related to or resulting from
participation in this promotion.
6.4 Seven Network (Operations) Limited and its associated agencies and companies assumes no
responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of entries, and reserves the right to take any action that may be available.
6.5 If for any reason the Competition is not capable of running as planned, due to causes including but not limited to tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Competition, the Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, take any action that may be available, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Competition.
6.6 By entering the competition, and by collecting a prize, the winner acknowledges and accepts that driving, travel and any other activities comprising the prize, are inherently dangerous and may result in death, injury, incapacity, damage to property or other losses. The Promoter is not responsible for any acts of god, such as adverse weather conditions or industrial action or civil commotion that may occur whilst the winner is travelling. It is the responsibility of the prize-winner to enquire about local issues and conditions at destinations prior to travel.
