Day 2: Tuesday, 28 June

Travel to Katoomba


Waradah - Experience first hand Aboriginal Culture with your family, the oldest continuing culture in human history: the dancing, the song, the Didgeridoo, the dreamtime story, - live performance 10 shows a day (booking is not necessary): 10am, 10:30am, 11am, 11:30am, 12am, 1pm, 1:30pm, 2pm, 3pm, 4pm – (tips: avoid lunch time rush). Beautiful gardens and fabulous cultural spaces are part of the diversity and appeal of the Blue Mountains experience. Situated on the edge of the Jamison Valley at Leura and offering breathtaking views, is the historic Everglades Gardens designed by Paul Sorenson.

Travel to Parklands Blackheath.

Day 5: Friday, 1 July

Travel to Hartley Village

Step back in time within the historic Village of Hartley set into the western edge of the beautiful Blue Mountains. Set among pastures, orchards, native plants and nineteenth and twentieth-century cottage gardens, the village’s lovely sandstone buildings preserve an important piece of history: the settlement of inland Australia.

Marvel at the art of blacksmithing, metal art and sculpture, as well as the fabulous range of silver jewellery available at the Talisman Gallery in Hartley.

Prize includes a $100 shopping voucher for the gallery as well as a Blacksmithing experience where you will make your very own Firepoker. Total Value $250.

Enjoy lunch at the Hartley café and then experience an afternoon tour of the village.

Day 6: Saturday, 2 July

Travel to Jenolan Caves

Then descend into the underworld. Jenolan Caves are the most spectacular cave system in Australia and also the oldest caves in the world.  Subtle technology and imagination make guided tours awe-inspiring.  July is the most memorable time to visit Jenolan, with the possibility of snow in the air and the fun of Yulefest (Christmas in July)!  Enjoy a festive dinner. Kids can even see Santa in a cave.

Overnight: Stay in the Mountain Lodge (2 adjoining rooms), enjoy a guided tour of the Orient Cave at 11:30am on July 2, delicious 3-course Yulefest dinner (very special) and full breakfast on July 3.

Day 7: Sunday, 3 July

Travel to the Blue Mountains Botanic Garden


Hydro Majestic Hotel
Explore one of the most famous hotels in the world on a special history tour of the Hydro Majestic Hotel at Medlow Bath. Discover exotically-named spaces such as Cat's Alley and the Salon du The, sumptuously refurbished by current owners Escarpment Group. Then, marvel at the magnificent view over the Megalong Valley while tucking into a delicious lunch at the Boiler House Cafe, which serves a menu of traditional pizza, pasta and Australian cuisine showcasing regional produce.

Terms and Conditions

All entries to be submitted via the Blue Mountains Australia website.
The competition commences on 16 April 2016 and closes at 5 pm on 1 May 2016. Winner will be drawn 4 May 2016 in Katoomba.
The decision of the judges is final and no correspondence will be entered into with entrants.
Entries must include your name and contact details.
Employees of any of the Blue Mountains Attractions Group members associated with the promotion, and their immediate families, are ineligible to enter the competition.
By claiming a prize, the winner accepts that the Blue Mountains Attractions Group may use the winner’s name and likeness for promotional and publicity purposes.
Maximum size of family is two adults and two children up to the age of 16. Minimum size is two adults over the age of 18.
The prize is offered from 27 June 2016 to 3 July 2016 inclusive.
The cost of transport to and from and around the Blue Mountains is at the expense of the winner.
