Entry is open to residents of Australia, 18 years of age and older, where the Channel Seven signal is received.
Entrants must be residing at their place of residence during 05:30 AEST – 09:00 AEST on Monday 2 May 2016 and also have a neighbour aged 18 years and older, within a 1km radius of their residence, who will also be able to participate in a live cross within the Sunrise broadcast.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS:By entering the “Sunrise Love Thy Neighbour Competition” (the “Competition”), you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions.
1. STANDARD TERMS
1.1 Information on how to enter forms part of the terms and conditions of entry.
2. WHO CAN ENTER?
2.1 Subject to clause 2.2, entry is open to residents of Australia, 18 years if age or older who will be residing at their place of residence during 05:30 AEST – 09:00 AEST on Monday 2 May 2016. Entrants must also have a neighbour aged 18 years and older, within a 1km radius of their residence who will be able to participate in a live cross within the Sunrise broadcast.
2.2 Employees and their immediate families of Seven Network (Operations) Ltd, Mnet Mobile Pty Ltd, and their associated agencies and companies associated with this promotion are not eligible to enter.
3. HOW TO ENTER
3.1 The competition commences on Thursday 28 April 2016 at 07:00 AEST and concludes on
Saturday 30 April 2016 at 12:00 AEST (“the Competition Period”).
3.2 The Competition will be promoted on the Sunrise website
www.yahoo.com.au/sunrise and
also promoted within the Sunrise program.
3.3 In order to enter, viewers must watch Sunrise (“the Program”) on the Seven Network during
the Competition Period. During the Competition Period there will be a competition segment aired during the Program, in which viewers will be invited to log onto the Sunrise website (
www.yahoo7.com.au/sunrise). Viewers will be required to answer the competition question and also register their full name, full residential address (including postcode), a valid email address and telephone number.
3.4 The entry must be:
a) The original independent creation of the entrant; and
b) Free from any claims, including but not restricted to copyright or trademark claims,
by other parties.
3.5 Any cost associated with accessing the promotional websites is the entrant’s responsibility
and is dependent on the Internet service provider used. The use of any automated entry software or any other mechanical or electronic means that allows an entrant to automatically enter repeatedly is prohibited and will render all entries submitted by that entrant invalid.
3.6 Entrants in the Competition may only enter the Competition once during the competition period.
3.7 This competition is a game of skill and chance plays no part in determining the winner.
PRIZE DETAILS
4.1 There will be one (1) winner who will receive the following prize package:
• Either $10,000.00 Cash or $5,000.00 dependent on whether their neighbours choses
to STEAL or SHARE the Cash. Cash will be made payable by cheque.
Total maximum prize pool value for the prize is $10,000.00. Prize value is correct as at the date of printing. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for change in prize value between now and the ultimate date on which the prize is taken.
4.2 In accepting the prize the winner agrees to participate in and co-operate with all reasonable media editorial requests, including but not limited to, being interviewed and photographed, and the winners grant the Promoter a perpetual and non-exclusive licence to use such footage and photographs in all media worldwide and the winners will not be entitled to any fee for such use.
4.3 The winner agrees they will not sell or otherwise provide their story and/or photographs to any media or other organisation.
4.4 It is a condition of accepting the prize that the winner must comply with all the conditions of use of the prize and the Promoter’s requirements.
4.5 The winner and their neighbour must be available and willing to participate in the Sunrise Live Cross during 05:30 AEST-09:00 AEST on Monday 2 May 2016
4.6 In the event that an element of the prize outlined in the above is cancelled or postponed for any reason, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute with a similar product of equal or greater value, subject to state regulations. If the winner forfeits a specified element, no cash alternative offer will be granted in lieu of the part of the prize.
4.7 Prizes are not transferrable or exchangeable.
4.8 Once the prize is accepted, the winner (and their neighbour if applicable) must deal directly
with Promoter.
4.9 The winner (and their neighbour if applicable) must sign a prize acceptance and release form
at the time of accepting the prize.
4.10 Independent financial advice should be sought as tax implications may arise as a result of
accepting the prize.

HOW TO WIN
5.1 There will be One (1) prize winner. Each entrant who has entered the Competition in
accordance with these terms and conditions during the Competition Period registering all details required by Saturday 30 April 2016 at 12:00 AEST (“Qualifying Entrant”) will be entered for judging. Entries that do not comply with any of the terms and conditions, may be deemed invalid and a further judging will be conducted in its place. The judging will take place at Seven Network (Operations) Limited, 38-42 Pirrama Road, Pyrmont NSW 2009 on Saturday 30 May 2016 from 14:00 AEST.
5.2 The winner will be the entry that is judged by the panel of judges as the most creative and original entry received.
5.3 The winner will receive a visit to their address that was used in their entry by the Sunrise Weather Team at a time determined during the Sunrise Broadcast between 05:30 AEST – 09:00 AEST on Monday 2 May 2016.
5.4 If the winner answers their knock to the door and presents themselves to the Sunrise Weather Team, a nominated member of the team will ask the winner to nominate a neighbour within a 1km radius to participate in a game.
5.5 The nominated member of the Sunrise Weather Team will then visit the winner’s neighbour and knock on their door. If the neighbour answers the door, they will be interviewed by Sunrise about their neighbour and then presented with the question if they would like the STEAL the prize money or SPLIT the prize money with their neighbour.
5.6 If the neighbour chooses to STEAL the prize money, they will win the prize and the winner will receive no claim to the prize and will receive nothing.
5.7 If the neighbour chooses to SHARE the prize money, they will receive half of the prize money and the winner will receive the other half of the money.
5.8 In the event that the winner does not answer the knock to their door, they will forfeit the prize and will have no further claim. The prize money will then jackpot to the next ‘Sunrise Love Thy Neighbour’ Competition, to be announced on a date determined by Sunrise.
5.9 In the event that the winner’s neighbour does not answer the knock to their door, they will forfeit their opportunity to participate in the game for a chance to choose to either STEAL or SHARE the prize and will have no further claim to the prize. The winner will then be awarded the total prize money.
5.10 Once details are confirmed, the winner (and their neighbour if applicable) will receive written confirmation of their prize. The winner’s entry details will be published on the Sunrise website from Monday 2 May 2016.
5.11 The Promoter’s decision is final and the Promoter will not enter into any correspondence regarding the result.
6. NO LIABILITY
6.1 In the case of the intervention of any outside act, agent or event which prevents or significantly hinders the Promoter’s ability to proceed with the Competition on the dates and in the manner described in these terms and conditions, including but not limited to vandalism, power failures, tempests, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, strike, war, act of terrorism, the Promoter may in its absolute discretion cancel the Competition and recommence it from the start on the same conditions.
6.2 Seven Network (Operations) Limited, Mnet Mobile Pty Ltd and their associated agencies and companies will take no responsibility for prizes damaged or lost in transit, or late, lost or misdirected mail.
6.3 Seven Network (Operations) Limited, Mnet Mobile Pty Ltd and their associated agencies and companies will not be liable for any misadventure, accident, injury, loss (including but not limited to consequential loss) or claim that may occur:
a) during the draw;
b) in the acceptance, participation or use of any element(s) of the prize;
c) as a consequence of late, lost or misdirected mail;
d) due to the broadcast of any program relating to the Competition or the publication of any
material, including any statements made by any compere, staff member, journalist, other entrants or any other person
e) in relation to failure of an SMS entry message to be received by the Promoter on account of technical problems or traffic congestion; or
f) arising from or related to any problem or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines or mobile communications network related to or resulting from participation in this promotion.
6.4 Seven Network (Operations) Limited and its associated agencies and companies assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of entries, and reserves the right to take any action that may be available.
6.5 If for any reason the Competition is not capable of running as planned, due to causes including but not limited to tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Competition, the Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, take any action that may be available, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Competition.
6.6 By entering the competition, and by collecting a prize, the winner acknowledges and accepts that driving, travel and any other activities comprising the prize, are inherently dangerous and may result in death, injury, incapacity, damage to property or other losses. The Promoter is not responsible for any acts of god, such as adverse weather conditions or industrial action or civil commotion that may occur whilst the winner is travelling. It is the responsibility of the prize-winner to enquire about local issues and conditions at destinations prior to travel.
