Win 1 of 5 double passes to Medici Concerts: Alexander Gavrylyuk

Medici Concerts: Alexander Gavrylyuk
Sunday 12 June 2016, 3pm

The sensational Ukrainian pianist Alexander Gavrylyuk will explode onto the Medici stage once again, enthralling the audience with his ‘blow-your-socks- off virtuosity’. He has won the Gold Medal at many of the world’s top international piano competitions, including the prestigious Horowitz and Rubinstein competitions.

Gavrylyuk is in constant demand with the world’s top orchestras and conductors. Critics raved about his spectacular performance of Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No 2 with the Los Angeles Philharmonic: ‘Gavrylyuk was on fire … scales burning with visceral power … brought back memories of Horowitz’. His phenomenal performance of Rachmaninov’s Piano Concerto No 3 with the Rotterdam Philharmonic under Valery Gergiev was the highlight of Gergiev’s 2015 Rachmaninov Festival.
