Win One of 20 Family Passes to the 2016 EKKAFor the first time in its century-plus history, RACQ will be the presenting partner of the annual Royal Queensland Show (Ekka).
What that means for members is great savings on tickets to the biggest show on Queensland’s event calendar.
Held at the Brisbane Showgrounds from August 5-14, Ekka throws the spotlight on the State’s best in agriculture, industry and entertainment.
RACQ’s three-year deal with Ekka follows the Club’s long-running sponsorship of the show’s animal nursery. RNA Chief Executive Brendan Christou said it was a great partnership between Queensland’s largest club and the State’s biggest event.
“We’re very excited to welcome RACQ to the Ekka family,” Mr Christou said.
“For generations of Queenslanders, RACQ – like Ekka – has been part of their lives for more than 100 years.”
This year marks Ekka’s 139th year, and organisers are expecting record crowds over the 10-day celebration of food, farming and fun.
RACQ members will receive a 15 percent discount on all ticket options until Ekka eve on August 4, which is a saving of more than $13 on family passes (two adults and two children).
A day at Ekka, presented by RACQ, is an experience unlike any other. Animal lovers will be in their element with a showcase of more than 10,000 animals, including dogs, cats, fish, poultry, alpacas and cattle. Foodies can indulge in the many flavours of Queensland’s best seasonal produce, not to mention Ekka favourites – dagwood dogs and strawberry sundaes.
And Ekka wouldn’t be complete without the fun of Sideshow Alley and the show bags, for little and big kids alike.
RACQ Executive Manager Travel and Tourism Shane Widdows said the presenting partner relationship with Ekka demonstrated one of the many ways RACQ provided true value for money to members.
“The discount on pre-purchased tickets allows members to bring their whole family along to one of Queensland’s most iconic events,” he said.

8. There will be 20 winners in this competition that will be chosen at random from all eligible entries received. The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

10. Only one entry per member is permitted and only one prize will be awarded to each winner.
11. Each winner will receive a Family Pass (two adults and two children) to the 2016 Ekka, presented by RACQ, valued at $87 (including GST).
12. The total value of all prizes is $1740 (including GST).
13. Any change in the value of the prizes between the publishing date and the date that the prizes are claimed is not the responsibility of the Promoter.
14. The prize is not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash, and must be used at the 2016 Ekka, held at RNA Showgrounds Brisbane, from August 5-14.
15. The winners will be notified using the contact details provided at the time they entered the competition. The prize will be posted to the winners as appropriate to the address they provided when they entered the competition.
