The music of Venice will waft across the canals of Raby Bay when the Queensland Symphony Orchestra presents its offerings at the Redland Performing Arts Centre at 7pm on Friday, July 8.
The Queensland Symphony Orchestra is renowned for its high quality, breath-taking performances of both classical and modern compositions and this Venetian inspired program is sure to delight. Program highlights for this magnificent concert include: Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons, Strauss’ A Night in Venice Overture and Sullivan’s Masquerade Suite from The Merchant of Venice.
Conductor is Daniel Carter.
La Serenissima, Venice, arguably the most beautiful city in the world, has inspired artists of all genres to create masterworks. Venetians such as Giovanni Gabrieli and Antonio Vivaldi have given us some of history’s sweetest music.
